Hi All,

Link: www.CompactMall.com
FB page: https://www.facebook.com/CompactMall

I've recently created a website for community. No charge, no registration, no hassle, no s**t.

It is called Compact Mall. Basically, it is an online directory for malls in Malaysia. Off course, not all malls are listed here but I've managed to compile up to 77 malls (as of 04/09/12) including Sabah & Sarawak. You can search for stores, malls, and you will be able to view them by category. The website is compatible for mobile phone especially iPhone. (Android users, please don't flame me.. T_T)

Some of the features are:
- 77 shopping malls in Malaysia (including Sabah & Sarawak) (as of 04/09/12)
- Search stores by name
- Search stores by tag (stores has to be tagged first)
- Search stores within malls
- Search stores within categories / subcategories
- Choose 3 (randomly choose 3 stores for you. E.g., you don't know where to eat, use this function to randomly choose 3 restaurants for you)
- Malls location (linked to google map)
- Near me (Search malls which are new you within the chosen km)
- Make calls by clicking the phone number (if you're using a smartphone to view the page)
- Add tags to the stores
- *soon to be filled

Future features:
- Maps within the mall
- iOS apps
- Android app

Screenshots:

Feel free to comment or give your thoughts on it.

Cheers.

Link: www.CompactMall.com
FB page: https://www.facebook.com/CompactMall

Running Google Chrome OS From A USB Drive

[attachmentid=1320586]

Summary :
> It is in the very early stages of development, so there is still a lot of stuff that doesn’t work. In fact, it may not work for you at all.
> You should also be made aware that this operating system is very simplistic by design, as it is intended for use on netbook computers. By definition, a netbook is a small and inexpensive laptop intended for very casual use such as web browsing and simple office tasks.
> When you launch Chrome OS, pretty much all you get is a web browser.
> Don’t be surprised if you go through all this and say to yourself, “I did all that work just to log into a freakin’ browser?”

Requirements :
> a USB drive. Disk image is 2,988,442,112 bytes. So need at least a 4GB thumb drive.
> A computer that allows booting from a USB drive.
> A little bit of luck. Chromium OS may or may not work on your computer hardware.
> A computer with a network adapter.
> Download the necessary files to put Chromium OS onto your USB drive. Torrent link below.

Instructions :
1 Extract the contents of chromium_os_usb.zip somewhere
2 Launch Win32DiskImager.exe (Windows). If you get Error 8 when you launch, ignore it. It's looking for a floppy that isn't there. The project page for this nifty little program is here: https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer
3 Browse to the image file (should be in the same place as Win32DiskImager.exe) and select it.
4 Write the image to a USB drive. You will need a 4GB USB drive. Please be aware that when you write to the drive, IT WILL ERASE ALL CONTENTS.
5 Boot a machine with the USB drive. Your BIOS will need to allow booting from USB. F8 or F12 in many BIOSes will bring up a boot menu, where you can select the USB drive.
6 When the login screen comes up, login with "chronos" and "password" (no quotes).
7 Click the Chrome OS sphere in the upper left, and log in with your Google Account.
8 Enjoy the preview of Chromium OS!

Torrent link :

CODE

http://www.makeuseof.com/downloads/chromium_os_usb.torrent

Rapidshare link :

CODE

http://rapidshare.com/files/311456880/chromium_os_usb.part1.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/311456884/chromium_os_usb.part2.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/311565678/chromium_os_usb.part3.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/311565681/chromium_os_usb.part4.rar

source :
http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/download-goog...-real-computer/

[addedon]November 25, 2009, 7:36 am[/addedon]added rapidshare link

Not sure with other banks though.

Which do you think offers the best for the ASB loans. (rates, t&c, islamic or not, etc..)

Any experience??

Thanks in advance..

Hi LYNers,

FYI, previously, I've bought a few laptops (me and my family). And as usual, as time goes by, we forgot where we put the installation CDs. So, right now, I'm trying to reformat my laptop, with the hope of not installing a pirated one, since I have a legal and valid XP product key.

So, my question is, what can I do to solve this problem?

1. Copy the CD from a friend?
2. Buy from straw hat luffy?
3. Ask Microsoft to give me free copy without product key?
4. Any other suggestions

If you have done this before, please advise.

btw.. my license is for OEM.

-AiMaN-
