Grant of Probate - Assets Listing - Bank Balance

The deceased left without leaving any details of money left with all the banks.

How an executor is able to compile a full listing of all bank accounts of the deceased for application of Grant of Probate (“GP“)?

It looks like a chicken and eggs situation!

Without GP, bank DO NOT entertain any search & checking for bank details of the deceased; BUT to file in application of GP, executor is required to include bank details (bank account number, FD Cert No, Amount .... etc) in the Asset Listing.

Is there any way an executor can perform a search for a FULL LISTING of ALL bank details of the deceased IN ONE SHOT? Bank Negara? I was told Bank Negara do not provide this information to an executor.

Is Legal Firm / Trustee Company able to do a compilation on behalf? For fixed fee? Fee based on % of bank balance?
