Can IT Tech

Can a normal IT technician with basic knowledge & skill of networking do cable termination & testing on oil & gas platform(onshore before deploy)?
What course/certificate needed to proceed doing this?
Can he/she be sue if just do the cable testing & termination without proper certificate & courses?

Heard from a colleague, before the current minimum wage of rm1700, his basic salary is rm1700 without any OT, allowance whatsoever.
Come February 2025, he asked HR will there be any wage raise prior to contract renewal and the answer is no. Experience wise, almost 10 years in the same field, same position with different company.

So, he is in dilemma. Should go on as minimum wage earner with experience or just resign & work at supermarket, retail outlet etc. with the same minimum wage?

Just some think tank. Let say you are B40 level who dont have a permanent job, mostly income working in gig economy & e-hailing. The problem is you have a circle of friends of M40 & T20 level, old friends since school summore. Being ashamed of how lowlife you're living, should you distant out & cut ties with these friends?

Got this thought lingering around for some time. Is it morally ethical to unfriend all those friends in friend list that we have not met or contacted for more than a decade? My friend list mostly consist of schoolmates and university friends, with 80% I lost contact or never ever encounter again after finishing school and graduate. Furthermore, non of them ever react or comment to my post or something I share in social media.

So, better to keep em or let em go?
