Man arrested at Woodlands Checkpoint with over 3kg of cannabis and 1.7kg of Ice

SINGAPORE – A 39-year-old man was arrested for attempted drug smuggling after he was found with more than 3kg of cannabis and 1.7kg of Ice at Woodlands Checkpoint on Dec 22.

Under the Misuse of Drugs Act, those who import or export more than 250g of methamphetamine or 500g of cannabis may face the death penalty. Ice is another name for methamphetamine.

In a joint statement on Dec 29, the Central Narcotics Bureau and the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said the Malaysian man had been referred for enhanced checks at Woodlands Checkpoint on the evening of Dec 22, based on information from ICA’s Integrated Targeting Centre.

The centre uses advance traveller information and data analytics to identify high-risk travellers before they arrive in Singapore.

A total of seven bundles, believed to contain controlled drugs, were found after the man was subjected to checks. The bundles contained 3,272g of cannabis and 1,709g of Ice, according to the joint statement.

The drugs seized were worth more than $237,000 and could feed the addiction of about 1,440 abusers for a week, the authorities added.

my landlord agent reminds me today about the 2nd year TA renewal

remember 1st year he charged me RM350 TA and stamping fee
but I dont even have the stamped copied TA

so the RM350 he masuk pocket sendiri

update:
I have temp blocked the card, changed PW, redude all transaction limit to 0 or lowest
also called the Maybank’s Fraud Hotline (24 hours a day): +603 5891 4744 to permanently block the card
they will send the new card to home address
but i still need to go to nearest branch to fill the dispute form to get the refund..

Rented my unit out for about 1year plus
Tenant said rent for family, doing IT networking business
He paying rent and utilities on time, utilities bill around RM7-800/mth

Just received call from my neighbor saying polis come force in the door
Said my tenant doing “salah”
my tenant see polis come quickly close the door

Anyone have this experience before?

only forced broke in my unit in and took their laptops
all gaming table and chair line up together still telling me he not doing scam

so my agent helped me settle everything including moving all his rubbish out and cleaned the unit
now pending the damaged door to be replaced
although my agent will get the 1mth comm when find he found new tenant

but i think should pay him for the effort he done for me
