Lladró is a Spanish brand dedicated since 1953 to the creation of art porcelain figurines in Valencia, Spain.

Price are negotiable. Each figurine (with the exception of the larger ones) usually go for 100-200 USD. These figurines are limited editions (no longer in production).

Streamyx DNS servers blocking websites

I'm not too sure if this is new or not, but I switched back from Google's DNS servers (8.8.8.8) to streamyx, and found that a website doesn't resolve. Switching back to Google DNS makes it resolve again.

Is this old news?

MacBook Repair Extension Program for Hard Drive

Yup, you guessed it, my hard drive on my black macbook just failed. Did a websearch and came across this apple support article. Hopefully they will fix mine for free; so if you're having trouble, get it done soon (You have until August).

Apple has determined that a very small percentage of hard drives that were used in MacBook systems, sold between approximately May 2006 and December 2007, may fail under certain conditions.

Does a game's platform influence its EDGE score?
Every time EDGE magazine reviews a Playstation 3 exclusive, they are accused of bias by PS3 supporters, who are then mocked as fanboys who aren't satisfied with anything other than perfect scores for their beloved exclusives. EDGE are known to be harsh graders, and some respect them for using the full 1-10 scale instead of using 7-10 scale like the mainstream gaming press. The counter argument is that EDGE reviews every game harshly and it's pointed out that for every PS3 exclusive that gets low scores like Heavy Rain, there is an equivalent 360 exclusive.

To investigate whether EDGE is just harsh overall, or if it truly judges and scores games based on their platform, I made a comparison chart of the top 30 games from each platform, as well as the top 30 multiplatform games.

Well, I bit the dust and ordered a PK2 (can't afford the PK1s!!) from ebay. Came in today and my first impressions are that these are no ordinary earphones

I was really surprise how comfortable they are, considering I've been using the Apple canal in-earphones for over a year now, these earphones are Godsend. They sound more like cans then earphones, and I'm quite surprised by the soundstage. I tried out some holophonic clips and they sound quite superb.

Bass is just about there and adequate for me, but some people might complain. I still have a hundred more hours to burn in, so we'll see how it sounds then, but otherwise, its sounding good so far.

Looks cheap, but the cabling looks like it could take some beating (better then the apple in-earphones anyway).

Anyone else here using Yuin? What are your impressions?

Anyone successfully connected their Apple cinema display or iMac to a PS3?

I have a 20" ACD and have been looking for a affordable solution for a very very very long time.

It allows you to plug your PS3 directly into an LCD screen on what otherwise might have been impossible.

I have a 20" Apple LCD screen and it would be nice to know if this was compatible with it so I don't have to buy a new tv when I go back abroad. The problem is 20" isn't very native for 1080p (default resolution is 1680x1050) so will the image be stretched out?

Theres also the XCM 1080p VGA Box and some say this is better for the PS3 http://www.xcm.cc/xcm_1080p_vga_box.htm
Do any of you have any experience with this vga box?

I thought the videos on youtube said otherwise. People have said COD4 runs fine in the highest settings on the new macbook alu. But check out the tests done by Ars Reviews:

Sony plans local PS3 launch

LOCAL gamers have much to shout about now as Sony Malaysia is going to officially launch their next-generation PlayStation3 videogame console here.

The official launch event is set to be take place at 11.30am on Sept 20 at the new wing of the 1Utama shopping centre in Petaling Jaya.

Sony Malaysia said it is plans to sell 150 special launch packages — consisting of one PS3 unit, a copy of Soul Calibur IV, a limited edition PS3 tote bag and Soul Calibur IV CD holder — during the launch.

The company also said that the PS3 units on sale will be the new 80GB variation of the popular videogame console.

The first hundred gamers to purchase the console on the launch day will also stand to walk away with Sony cash vouchers of up to RM1,000.

The first three people in line to buy a Sony PS3 will get a RM1,000 cash voucher that can be used for their next Sony product purchase while the next 17 customers will get RM500 cash vouchers.

The 21st up to the 50th customer will walk away with a RM300 cash voucher while the subsequent 50 customers will take home a RM150 cash voucher each.

Anyone know where in KL I can get my 1st gen iphone fixed? The screen/phone works perfectly, but I just have dents and scratches all around the bezel, aluminum and black cover -- not a pretty site. Superficially, it needs fixing.
