Insurance Claim For Accident Policy Excess Help

Recently, I had a car accident whereby I, the car owner and insurance policyholder (MSIG) had knocked the other party's car. We had decided to lodge a police report and proceed to claim the insurance.

I had submitted all the required documents for the claim to the workshop and they told me that I have to pay RM400 for the policy excess upon the car finish repaired. May I know whether am I required to pay the RM400 in this scenario? "Additional note: I have bought the add-on from MSIG, "Waiver of Compulsory Excess" in the assumption that its cover for all drivers."
