Symptom of a dead C2D

Hi all, I am having problem with my pc recently.

Here is the spec
C2De7400 ( OC usually to 3.5 ghz at 1.35 volts )
2x1024 GB Crosair ram
Gigabte P35 - DS3 motherboard
500 watt CM psu
ati radeon 4850

Recently im unable to power up the machine. When i press the power button, the fan spins like 0.5 CM and stops.

So far here is what i have done

1) Reset Bios and Battery
2) Tried another working display card - 8800gt
3) tried with a single stick of kingston ddr 2 ram stick which is confirmed working
4) changed psu to acbel
5) change motherboard to a working board

So far i've done all of the above and i still get that symptom. On the other board i tried, the fan spins for about 2-3 second before it turns off again.

Can i pls know what can be the problem of in this scenario? Do i need to RMA my processor or change something else? Hope Si-fu's here can help me as i need to use my pc

Btw, if i need to rma my processor, how long would it take roughly if intel takes it

Need of some life changing career decisions.

HI all,

First off before i start, i would like to do an introduction to this problem.

I have been working for teh past 4 years and i have realised that i dont have a field to specify in. I'm into technicality. So far currently my boss has offered me a role and i have looked at another role within the company and i am wondering.

Role

Currently
Storage/Server Consultant

I am at this job for a year plus. Dealt with some projects involving servers/storage/backup.

Jobs I find challenging is below

Network Consultant
- I have some experience ( consider CCNA Level ) at networks and voice. Mostly on Cisco and Avaya implementation. This position looks like basically something like a network engineer cum solution architect sorta level. Pay wise shouldnt be much different.

Job that my boss has thrown in

Subject Matter Expert ( Sun/Storage)

Boss asked me if im interested to take ths challenge up. This means designing and deploying SUN base storage and Solaris based servers via projects.

Im not sure if this is the right place to ask but thinking about this 2 is killing my free time. Only justification i can think off in the long run,

Network - Every tom d*** and harry wanna do it. More candidates are in the same field so its harder to fight for your value

SUN Solaris/Storage - Not many job offers, very niche market, company send me for official SUN certification

I hope you guys can shed some light....Please
