I got TM Net manager direct line number

Hey guys,

I managed to get one of TM Net's manager direct phone line number. What do you think I should do with it?

All started last week after I received one more of these 'empty of content' emails from tm customer support. Chasing them for the past 3 months to get my connection problem fixed (90% packet-loss). I got really pissed and call them back, scold everyone I had on the phone, spent an hour on the line, didn't want to hang up till I speak to the manager. I didn't happen but the next day someone from TM Net called me back.

That person got pretty bad english, very strong malaysian accent, low tone voice, sounds to be in its 50. Definitely not from the customer support center. I had troubles to understand him properly but he asked me about what my problem. I gave him a quick explanation. I caught his caller id: number 03 80 75 XX XX (hiding it for now, may reveal full number later...).

I called the number back today to do a follow up on the issue. As soon as I told him who I was, he started to speak only in Malay, pretending he doesn't understand english. Then I said: "you called me last week in regards to my connection problem, I know you can understand me". He replied with a "No, no". Ya, right, the guy is supposed not to understand me, but just got what I said. Starting from then he said a few things in Malay (I do not speak malay, so I have no idea what he said), adding a few words in English "Wrong number... sorry... bye bye... wrong number".

Very bad acting if you ask me. I've no doubt he is quite high in the management level, and doesn't want to get bothered by clients. Too bad for him he called me from his own line. I got his direct office line number now.

What do you guys think I should do with it? After he hanged up on me, I called back, but I soon as I spoke, he recognized me, so I'm out of the game now.

Advertising about TM Net nightmare in newspapers

Following some proposals to run full-page advertisement in newspapers about TM Net deceiving services (throttling, high latency, packet-loss, terrible customer service, etc.), I contacted The Star to know about their pricing.

A full-page ad (37cm x 8cols) in The Star costs RM 15230 to RM 15540 depending on the day of publication.

This is very possible to finance. It would require a thousand people shelling out RM15 each. Only 500 persons @ RM31 each.

Comparatively to Streamyx's fees, that only represents 20 to 45% of a month's subscription fee. That's little money to bring public attention on the problems we are facing.

Reading through this forum, I can see people have been very angered by TM Net and are willing to put efforts in the balance to get their rights respected.

Well, this is a very good opportunity to put your money where your mouth is.

To get this started, we need to:

- choose a treasurer to collect and manage the funds
- designers to come up with advertisement mockups
- copywriters to work on the wordings. We need catchy text, easily comprehensible (no technical jargon), stay on focus), facts, no rumor.
- anyone help to review and discuss about the advertisement itself.

Anyone is welcome. If you have no free time, consider financial contribution. If you have no money, contribute to the design, text, reviews, etc.

Please give your opinion, thanks!

Ced
