uk law grad intending to practice in australia

hi all, i've got a ques. are there any uk law grads here who have had their degrees assessed by an australian university for the purposes of priestly 11 exemptions? a friend who pursued the uol llb et, but did not take evidence then, just got the result of the assessment and has to do an extra 11 subjects which i honestly think is ridiculous. i am trying to find out how consistent the assessment is or whether they differ from one state to another, or from one uni to another...

hey all, just wanted to ask. Im taking law now, as some may know, but would like to know whether i NEED to pass the LAN subjects. I did my A levels 5 years ago, and i only did my malaysian studies paper. Didn't sit for my moral studies. Therefore i only have one LAN subject cert. Im in my last year of law and would like to know what are the consequences of not completing the required LAN subjects at college level. Thanks!

Problem with my former law college

i've got a problem. a small one but a problem nonetheless and was wondering what do u guyz think about it.

in my first year in college, i was the top student there. I was awarded a small scholarship during the college's student night. that was in november last year. I wasn't given any letter or anything, but everyone knew that i was so entitled. i have yet to receive my scholarship fund and the director of the law school has recently resigned. I recently approached the college and they are now arguing that it was a privately made award by the director himself and the college is not liable to pay me. The college don't seem to know that i am so entitled and the fact that i have no documentary proof does not help my cause.

i dun have much time now to argue with them at length coz exams are near, but was wondering what u guyz think? i think what is crucial is to whom my college fees was paid to.

any suggestions or views?

wanted to ask, since members of the law society of england and wales are by reference to http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/membership.html able to gain membership to the malaysian bar, why doesn't anybody speak of this route. Is there a limitation to only solicitor work or due to malaysia's fused system, can such a member of the law society also undertake advocate work in malaysia if allowed membership to the malaysian bar?
