Dr Akmal cakap DAP adalah musah UMNO yang nyata. Hihihihi.. nak tergelak saya membacanya, statement tu dari mulut Ketua pemuda level Nasional bukan ketua pemuda cawangan. Kalau ketua pemuda peringkat cawangan saya faham la.

UMNO ini parti politik. Jadi bila bercakap tentang “musuh UMNO”, mestilah dari sudut politik bukan dari sudut perkauman sempit. lawan mana yang sebenar yang menjatuhkan, merampas kerusi, dan mengecilkan parti ini sampai ke tahap hari ini.

Adakah DAP yang merampas kerusi UMNO sampai tinggal sikit?

Selama ini, berapa banyak kerusi UMNO benar-benar berdepan DAP secara satu lawan satu?

Dan yang lebih penting, adakah DAP yang mengkhianati UMNO dalam Muafakat Nasional dahulu?

Tak. Jawapan dia bukan DAP.

UMNO tumbang di Felda, di kampung, di kerusi Melayu. Bukan kerana DAP. DAP bertanding di bandar, di kerusi majoriti bukan Melayu.

UMNO kalah kerana PN.

Dalam PN ramai bekas pemimpin UMNO.
Dalam PN banyak bekas jentera UMNO.
Cuma ditukar baju sahaja.

Kalau benar mahu bercakap tentang “musuh nyata”, logiknya sangat mudah.
Musuh ialah siapa yang ambil kerusi kita dan
Siapa yang tarik ahli kita keluar.

DAP tak pernah buat semua itu kepada UMNO.

Tapi yang dijadikan punch bag adalah DAP. Kenapa bukan PN?

Ini cerita politik.. survival sebuah parti politik

kalau 3 parti majori melayu bergabung siapa yang akan dapat lebih kerusi dikawasan majoriti melayu? Adakah UMNO sanggup mengorbankan diri memberi ruang kepada PAS dan BERSATU dan UMNO sendiri memilih bertanding di kawasan bandar yang memang kubu kuat DAP sejak sekian lama?

Kalau betul nak kepada penyatuan Ummah..
bubarkan semua parti politik yang berdasarkan kepada bangsa dan agama, dan buat satu parti politik tunggal yang menjadi wadah kepada pejuangan melayu.
Kalau ada banyak banyak parti ni, penyatuan ummah memang takkan terjadi.. sebab semua nak jadi ketua dan ada kuasa.

Cerita aku ni mungkin akan buat korang terkejut atau mungkin tidak.

Sekitar 2008 dulu aku kenal seorang Dato ni, tapi takdelah rapat. Orang Melayu. Dia ada syarikat supply mesin untuk industri. Aku kerja dulu pun buat service marketing, so dah biasalah kenal orang2 VIP ni.

Rajin juga dia ajak lepak dekat penthouse dia dekat sbelah KL Sentral. Ingat lagi dia kata Siti Nurhaliza pun ada penthouse dekat situ juga.

Kekadang aku jumpa Dato tu kat mana-mana club sekitar KL. Setiap kali lepak mesti driver dan budak2 dia akan join.

Nak dijadikan cerita, pernah sekali tu aku terdengar dia suruh budak dia transfer RM1juta ke akaun kawan dia. Dalam hati aku, pergh selamber ja main transfer juta-juta.

Dia macam perasan yang aku dengar perbualan tu. Lepas tu dia senyum. Sedut asap rokok dalam beberapa saat, kemudian tanya aku.

"Kau tau tak Carlos, bisnes apa yang legal, modal kecil tapi untung besar gila dalam masa beberapa bulan saja? ."

Aku cuba la jawab, forex kot.

"Tak Carlos, jawapan dia..jual babi.."

Otak aku macam jem. Biar betul Dato ni.

Dato sambung lagi "Kau tau tak modal beli anak babi berapa? RM80 saja seekor. Babi ni cepat membiak. 4 atau 5 bulan dah besar boleh jual dalam RM650 hingga RM800 seekor..profit margin tinggi. "

"Kau beli 1000 ekor anak babi, kau upahlah apek tua sorang tolong manage kandang tu. Kau kira lah berapa untung. Lagi untung kalau babi-babi tu beranak banyak. Free saja. Skarang kau bagitau aku, ada tak bisnes lain yang untung dia macam ni?."

Aku geleng kepala.

Aku tanya, Dato ternak babi dekat mana. Dia jawab masa tu dekat Perak.

Terkejut juga aku. Rupanya sejak dulu ada juga orang Melayu jual babi. Owner kandang nama Cina, tapi belakang ada Melayu.

Aku ingatkan dia takat teguk arak saja, rupanya babi pun dia jual. Makan ke tidak aku tak tahu lah. Gila betul bagi anak bini makan hasil babi.

Nasib baiklah aku rapat sekejap saja dengan Dato tu. Kalau tak ntah-ntah dengan aku pun terjebak jual babi.

So, yang sekarang ni kat Selangor aku tak tau lah apa cerita. Patutlah ada yang beria backup.

with the same tone a man uses when announcing he’s quitting a wedding while still holding a plate of rendang and asking where the dessert table is.

THE NUMBERS THAT REFUSE TO BE ROMANTIC
UMNO, tragically, has never been good at maths.
Not hostile to numbers—just emotionally distant from them.
Eight ministers.
Five deputy ministers.
Hundreds of appointments scattered across the nation like breadcrumbs for very well-fed pigeons.
Yet someone believes all this can be abandoned strategically, as though power were a tote bag you can forget at a café and retrieve later by calling the waiter.
Numbers do not work that way.
They are cruel. They do not care about feelings, dignity, or nostalgia.
They just sit there, arms crossed, waiting for you to finish lying to yourself.

A PARTY ADDICTED TO CENTRAL HEATING
Some parties are built like hikers.
They can survive rain, hunger, and long walks through opposition wilderness.
They grow muscles where excuses used to be.

“Don’t test us.”

Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan (MMK) Pulau Pinang bersetuju meningkatkan rebat cukai tanah bagi 2026 daripada 32.5 peratus sebelum ini, kepada 50 peratus bagi meringankan beban pemilik tanah dan memastikan peralihan kepada kadar baharu cukai tanah dilaksanakan secara berperingkat serta terkawal.

A VERDICT ARRIVES, QUIETLY, WITH PAPERWORK
The Kuala Lumpur High Court spoke. Calmly. Carefully. With the kind of tone judges use when they know someone, somewhere, will still shout after the gavel falls.
Najib Razak’s bid for house arrest was dismissed.
The addendum was declared invalid.
Unconstitutional.
Contrary to Article 42.
In legal terms, this was not a drama. It was housekeeping.
Yet the nation reacted as if someone had overturned a dinner table in the middle of a wedding.

THE PROBLEM WITH HOUSE ARREST IN A COUNTRY WITHOUT HOUSES FOR IT
Let us start with the most boring point—which also happens to be the most devastating.
Malaysia does not have a house arrest law.
No statute.
No policy.
No SOP.
No mechanism.
Not even a pamphlet explaining where to buy the ankle bracelet.
House arrest, in Malaysia, exists only in imagination, WhatsApp forwards, and hopeful legal strategies.
So when the court said, “We do not practise this,” it was not being cruel. It was being factual—almost tediously so.
Trying to enforce house arrest here is like asking the LRT to stop at a station that was never built. You can shout at the driver all you want. The track still ends where it ends.

THE ADDENDUM THAT NEVER WENT TO THE MEETING
Then came the other confirmations, each one less dramatic than the last but cumulatively fatal:
1. The addendum was issued outside the pardon board meeting.
2. It was never discussed by the pardon board.
3. The government cannot implement palace orders that fail legal requirements.
In other words, the addendum did not merely arrive late.
It arrived at the wrong building, on the wrong day, with no appointment.

SO… DID THE KING MAKE A MISTAKE?
If one reads the court’s decision plainly—without emotion, slogans, or caps lock—the answer is uncomfortable but clear.
Yes. A mistake was made.
Whether it was made personally, or through flawed legal advice, only heaven truly knows. Wallahu a’lam, as we like to say when we are politely admitting that something went wrong but do not wish to assign a face to it.
But here is the crucial detail conveniently lost in public outrage:
When the addendum reached the Attorney General, it was examined, found unconstitutional, and sent back to the palace.
By then, a new Yang di-Pertuan Agong had been appointed.
Meaning: the addendum has been with the palace from the beginning.
Not hidden in the AG’s drawer.
Not locked in the Prime Minister’s safe.
Not misplaced under a pile of Madani slogans.

ON “HIDING” AND SAVING FACE
Now comes the dramatic question whispered loudly on social media:
Was the addendum hidden?
Perhaps.
But if so, it was hidden for the most Malaysian of reasons: to save face.
Because publicly parading an unconstitutional decree would not have strengthened the palace. It would have embarrassed it.
Ironically, what some now call “concealment” was, in hindsight, an act of institutional damage control.
And no—this is not treason.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong is not above the law. The constitution is not a suggestion. And respecting judicial findings is not an insult to royalty—it is the foundation that protects it.

SO WHO, REALLY, IS AT FAULT?
Here we arrive at the least glamorous answer.
Najib’s lawyers.
Not the palace.
Not the court.
Not the Prime Minister.
The lawyers.
Because anyone with a working knowledge of constitutional law would have known—early on—that the addendum was legally defective. Yet hope was sold anyway. Narratives were spun. Expectations were inflated.
Families were reassured. Supporters were mobilised.
And now, inevitably, disappointment has arrived like a bill nobody wanted to open.
Had the lawyers been honest from the beginning—had they advised a fresh pardon application instead of theatrical litigation—this entire episode could have ended quietly, months ago.
Instead, they chose to fight the wrong battle, in the wrong arena, at the wrong time.

Legal veterans have already pointed out the obvious:
Wait for half the sentence.

That was the path taken by others before. It worked.

Three more years in Kajang.
Legally, the matter is closed.
Politically, however, the wound has been reopened—and salted.

DAP Melaka berpandangan bahawa program RXZ Members Ride 3.0 yang diadakan baru-baru ini di negeri Melaka telah memberi kesan serius terhadap rutin harian penduduk, ketenteraman awam serta keselamatan jalan raya.

Berdasarkan maklum balas rakyat Melaka, sepanjang tempoh acara—terutamanya pada lewat malam—berlaku aktiviti menunggang motosikal pada kelajuan tinggi serta pencemaran bunyi yang mengganggu ketenteraman awam. Selain itu, pergerakan kumpulan besar penunggang motosikal di kawasan bandar telah meninggalkan persepsi negatif kepada pelancong, sekali gus menjejaskan imej Melaka sebagai sebuah negeri pelancongan.

DAP Melaka menegaskan bahawa kami pada prinsipnya menyokong usaha kerajaan menganjurkan acara bagi merancakkan ekonomi tempatan. Hakikatnya, jika dirancang dengan baik, acara berskala besar mampu memberi manfaat kepada peniaga kecil, peniaga gerai, hotel serta pengusaha inap desa.

Namun begitu, DAP Melaka tidak bersetuju dengan sebarang suasana atau bentuk penganjuran acara yang menggalakkan atau membiarkan perbuatan melanggar undang-undang. Dalam perhimpunan ini, kami menerima pelbagai aduan bahawa sebahagian penunggang motosikal telah melanggar lampu isyarat, berlumba di jalan awam serta menunggang secara berbahaya. Ini telah mengancam keselamatan pengguna jalan raya lain termasuk pemandu kenderaan dan pejalan kaki.

Pengerusi DAP Melaka, YB Khoo Poay Tiong (邱培栋)berkata:“Saya menggesa Ketua Polis Negeri Melaka supaya memandang serius aduan yang dikemukakan oleh penduduk Melaka dan memberi penjelasan kepada orang ramai sama ada tindakan penguatkuasaan serta kawalan trafik yang sewajarnya telah dilaksanakan semasa dan selepas acara tersebut.”

Beliau turut menegaskan:

“Saya menyeru Ketua Menteri untuk memberi perhatian serius terhadap perkara ini. Semasa merancang dan meluluskan mana-mana acara besar, kerajaan negeri tidak boleh hanya menumpukan kepada kemeriahan dan jumlah kehadiran, sebaliknya mesti mengambil kira kualiti hidup penduduk, keselamatan lalu lintas, imej bandar serta kesan jangka panjang.”

Setiap aktiviti sosial atau hiburan, khususnya yang melibatkan jumlah peserta yang besar, perlu melalui perancangan yang rapi dan pertimbangan yang teliti. Penganjur bertanggungjawab untuk menilai kesan yang mungkin timbul dan memastikan ia berada dalam lingkungan yang terkawal.

DAP Melaka menegaskan bahawa pembangunan ekonomi dan keselamatan awam bukanlah pilihan yang “mutually exclusive”. Hanya dengan pematuhan undang-undang, ketertiban awam serta penghormatan terhadap hak dan kesejahteraan rakyat, barulah setiap inisiatif yang digerakkan oleh kerajaan negeri dapat memperoleh sokongan sebenar daripada masyarakat.
