Awkward situation

Let's say I'm applying for a job, but in the company I'm applying my ex gf/bf is of a high position there and I'm applying for a different department than my ex.

The breakup did not end well and there were arguments. But both of us have moved on and want to put it behind us. Although I am still blocked on social media by my ex.

Will the HR look into this and not consider me for the job?

Anyone else have come across this situation?

What are the possible consequences of this situation?
Which guy should the girl choose?

There is a Netflix series that explores the traditional indian customary of matchmaking , that is set in post partition India ( after separation from Pakistan).

The story revolves around the main premise of an Indian (Hindu) girl who is on the precipice of marriage with 3 eligible options to choose from.

Option 1: A university/college mate that is a indian muslim, who really clicks with her and they have a lot in common as they are from the same age group. They were dating (etc etc) a while. Parents won't agree for religious reasons. But she didn't give up on him but upon asking to run away with her he took the practical route and asked her to allow them to finish their studies first. She left in despair, that when he realised he should have ran away with her, she has moved on although she seemingly still have feelings for him. She is on the fence about forgiving him as she really misses him at times.

Option 2: An indian hindu guy that the mom has chosen for her through a marriage broker. A guy with an okay paying job, good character, slightly older and mature. Although the conversations are sometimes lost in translation due to the age gap and the chemistry is slightly awkward. Never really dated him although he has lots of opportunities to visit her to get acquainted due to the mother 'shipping' them. Really sweet and genuine family guy that even the girl has come to appreciate although she is aware of the miscommunication issues at times and they do have good conversation most of the time.

Option 3: Brother's brother-in law indian hindu, came from a wealthy family with reasonable mannerism. Higher echelon traits and an accomplished well known poet. Really likes her and chooses her despite having many suitors chasing him. Job with inconsistent pay also has many things in common with her. Has dated and kissed her. She likes him as well as they get along well. But coming from a rich background he is a bit snobby to her mother and at times feels entitled. But most of the time he is a gentleman to everyone around him.

The girl choses one of them in the series towards the end but which one do you think she should pick. For those of you who have watched it can also join in but best to keep the choices she made in the series to yourself. As her choice should not influence the discussion here as it may not be the best choice there is.
