Greeting to all of the readers. I recently going to get a residential property from sub-sale market. The property are new and the first hand buyer are offering to sell. I found the property through an agent. Now, question is, the agent asked me to draw my booking cheque to owner instead of the agent's company.

Is it legal to draw the cheque direct to owner? Would anything goes wrong if do so?
