Random freezing and usb device failure

Hey guys, My benq S57 has some problem with USB devices (Handphone, USB wireless broadband modem and 3.5" WD MyBook but not mouse and notebook cooler). I would experience random freezing when I have any of the devices connected to my laptop. Sometimes one of the device would stop to function, and it would affect others. Examples is when I was surfing the internet using wireless broadband, the modem would suddenly cease to function, and at the same time, I wouldn't able to access the external hard disk attached to it. If i unplug and replug the usb modem, it would not be able to recognise the usb modem. Same goes for the external hard disk, It would only recognise the usb devices again after i restart the laptop. Some times, the laptop would freeze when i browse the files in the external hard disk or my mobile phone connected via usb. I suspect the problem is usb related. The problem still persist even though i have reformatted my laptop. What would be the probable cause of this problem? Before this, I flashed the bios to version 1.03 obtained from the Australian BenQ site. Would that be the cause of the problem? There shouldn't be any problem on the usb devices as the ext hdd works previously with my old lappy..

Random Freezing on Win 7 64 bit

I have a benq S57 laptop running on Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I am experiencing random freezing on my laptop.....Crashes happened a few times when i try to open my 3.5" Western Digital ext hdd..Recently i bought a wireless broadband modem which comes with usb modem..after running the modem for a while, the modem would fail randomly, ie, I wasn't able to receive wireless signal anymore..And if i unplug and plug in the usb modem again, my laptop was unable to recognize the usb modem..I can only fix it by restarting the laptop..So i suspect there's something wrong with the usb..Anyone can help?

Questions on Laptop Wifi connection

Hi....I dunno whether i'm posting in the correct section or not....

I have an Acer Travelmate 4102 laptop with Intel Pro Wireless 2200BG chipset....I found out that whenever i'm in a place where alot of ppl online using laptop (such as my university's library), i couldn't connect to the internet, even though i'm sitting very near to the wireless router...There's no problem with the network connection...however, laptops from the other brand (Toshiba, Hp, Dell...) they can connect to the internet eventhough the connection is very slow....

So i would like to know how do i increase the performance of wifi on my notebook? or is it because it's acer?

what combination of courses depends on the school u r going to. for instance my previous school only offer 2 combinations, ie, Math T, Chem, Bio Pengajian Am or Math T, Chem, physics, pengajian am..One can take further math as extra subject...however, pengajian am is a must. Math T is for science stream and Math S is for arts stream....
