PC can't turn on overnight

Hi, my PC refuses to turn on (no fans spinning, no lights on the mobo, RGB controller). It was working fine just yesterday before I went to bed. Turned it on this morning for work and it just didn't respond. However, I did hear a brief "click" sound when I press the power button (which I suspect is the PSU fan trying to spin, not sure though).

So... I tried troubleshooting myself, and so far I suspect its the PSU that's dead. Considering all the LEDs are not powered on, and with no prior issues before today, am I wrong to assume the PSU is at fault? The PSU is the Cooler Master MWE Gold v2 750w and PC specs is as per signature below.

Here are some things I plan to do/diagnose:
1. Reconnect all the PSU cables
2. Reconnect front IO connectors
3. Paper clip test the PSU
4. Replace/reseat CMOS
3A. If paper clip pass, try removing 24pin cable extension and plug directly into mobo
3B. If paper clip fail, cannibalize PSU from another PC build to test if it powers on
4. If it powers on, initiate RMA/warranty claim from Cooler Master/distro
5. If it doesn't power on, RIP mobo and PSU?

Other things to note: the PC is powered by a surge protector, and protection is still active and home circuit breaker didn't trip, meaning unlikely to be due to power surge/lightning, unless I'm mistaken. Everything else powered by the surge protector still working (all monitors etc).

Am I missing something? Anything else that I should note and try to diagnose before hastily RMAing both the mobo and PSU if it still doesn't boot with another PSU?

Thanks all.
