Cycling around peninsula Malaysia

Hey , I'm planning out for a big cycling tour around the peninsula . Planning to do it as soon as this mco crap ended (of course) and as soon as I'm well equipped and prepared. I plan to make it a slow and try to experience the most of every state and island have to offer ,ps. I don't even mine if the trip take 3 month above as I'm not rushing or anything . I'm currently just prepare my bike and some must have equipment and try not to commit into something big yet, as I have 0 knowledge and experience in cycling . Currently I have one pal to do it with me on this crazy tour and hope to find 2-3 more people , trying to keep it small group , ppl who are interested do dm me 0102288381 wasap

So the question is as I have 0 experience in cycling what kind of must have preparation do I need in term of equipment ,routes, cycling knowledge and etc , can I camp occasionally or must I take cheap hotel Everytime ,what kind of bike should I get touring bike/trail bike/road bike and with what spec and newbie question : how do I survive on town and crowded places with full of cars like kl , jb and Penang ,

For anyone who is curious why I'm doing this even with no prior experience on cycling , I simply like to travel and want to experience every thing the world has to offer, that's my motto , I wanna try different kind of wild things like cycling around peninsula , driving RV from Malaysia to UK , bungee jumping , skydiving and other crazy stuff I guess
