Iphone 13 pro

Hi sifus,

I am currently situated at Singapore. And would like to maintain my Malaysia phone number as well.

I have just gotten a "replacement" Iphone 13 pro in Singapore. And I notice my mobile data works fine (Singapore telco - Starhub) when I do not switch on my E-SIM option (my e-sim is Malaysia telco - yoodo). Despite setting mobile data will be coming from primary sim (which is Singapore telco), I still could not connect to internet until I have my e-sim turned off.

May I know if there is any solution to this?

Bringing new phone to Singapore

Hi all sifuss,

I was lucky enough to win an Iphone in Malaysia. And I, myself already staying at Singapore at the moment, by the time the phone is delivered (which is today 3rd September 2022).

I have asked my parents to unseal the box to check the phone if everything is okay.

Question is, if my parents bring the phone together with the unsealed box, will they get taxed or something?

Need advice.

Big 4 vs Non Big 4 (Singapore)

Dear Sifus,

I am a Malaysian, currently at the age of 25. Been working for close to 3 years in audit field. And recently approached by 2 Singapore Audit Firm (big 4 and non big 4).

Interviewed with the non big 4 on 19th May 2022, got the offer on 20th May 2022 (exactly what I requested for), however, I was given a choice to work remotely in Malaysia, so the pay rate is 2x of Malaysia market rate.

There is another interview coming in 26th May 2022 with one of the Big 4, however, by that time I have to give confirmation / answer to the non big 4 company, whether to accept their offer or not.

I have always wanted to work in Singapore (to try and explore), and opportunity seems to have arrived. But at the same time, because the non big 4 has also lesser bigger client as compared to the big 4 (meaning less exposure).

So yeah, kinda need some advice now

Non-big 4:
Interviewed - 19th May 2022
Gotten offer - 20th May 2022
Need to confirm by - 27th May 2022

Big 4:
Interview date - 26th May 2022

Wrapping up for the year 2021

Hi all sifus,

It is again the end of another year.

I started off my first quarter of the year with some unhappy moment. The girl which I started to approach since Q4 of 2020 has posted a story of her with her boyfriend in Q1 of 2021. I am currently working + part time study for professional papers, and due to all these, I did not make my confession to her during the periods. It hits hard for me, as I am a person who take relationship seriously.

Second and third quarter of 2021, I have been focusing on just working + studying. And decided to let my relationship status to go with the flow. During these period, there's another girl which I met (same company), has been showing lots of interest in me. She has always wanted to understand more about me (asking questions related to anything), given the fact that we just met for few months. My mind is still very focused into working and study during that period, as such, I have taken it as a normal conversation with a good friend.

Because of her consistency (showing support, and etc). I find her very attractive and we ended up as couple in just few weeks ago (after knowing her about 6 months and went out for few dates). We both were very clicked, can talk through day and nights, sharing the happiness and pain that we have gone through.

Just when I thought year 2021 couldve end happily for both of us, my gf had a medic checkup yesterday, and found out that she actually has a tyroid nodule. We are still unsure how serious the condition is.

The year of 2021 is really not easy for both of us. The ups and down during the year, not just in relationship wise, but family, work and even more.

Dear Sifus,

There is this girl where I met during my high school years, that I actually liked her a lot. So eventually, at that age, I have confessed and rejected.

For the remaining 2 years in highschool, we were still same class. and we do talk like normal friends. It was after graduated from highschool, we both pursue in different way, I went for further studies (typical), and she started working and eventually started a new business with her friends.

During my degree days, I did not want to put myself into any kind of relationship stress as I have only one goal at that time, which is to do good in my degree. We barely contact each other since then (probably just CNY, Christmas or even birthday).

So eventually I have completed my degree (goal achieved). It was at this time last year, I asked her out, not a date, but more like catching up each other. She agrees to meet up and we shared story during that night. And again, I fell for her again during that night.

I did not up my games after this night, as I am pursuing my professional papers (again....). It was this year, I bought a cake for her birthday, and from there, we talk to each other more often. We even meet up every weekends for sports (after MCO of course).

So up till here, the whole story goes fine. And I started to ask her out more often (mostly dinner since im working now). Not all the times, she agrees to have a dinner, due to busy schedule. I have never questioned her why, but will say like "okay, maybe next time". Averagely, we will have dinner together like once a month (consider less right, i know).

I do buy gifts for her as well, and she did too, of course not as much as I did, as im investing 200% in haahah

I am the kind of guy that is not smart in getting "hints" from girls. So here come the question. I am planning to express my feeling maybe in upcoming Dec? So dear sifus, what do you think.
