Extension of Time due to MCO.. Ridiculous?

I received 2 notice from developer, informing that the under construction project that I purchase 4 years ago receive approval from MOHLG for the exemption of the period of 167 days (18 Mar to 31 Aug 2020) and 122 days (1 Sept to 31 Dec 2020) respectively for delivery of VP. Hence, developer get the total 289 days of grace period to deliver the project without getting fine by LAD.

Having say that, buyer will not allow to claim LAD from developer if the VP date later than 289 days stated in SPA. Understand this is to protect Developer as construction are order to stop during 1st MCO (not sure about the period between 1 Sept to 31 Dec 2020, construction allow to work right? why still get EoT?).

But how about purchaser? Who protect our interest? During MCO period purchaser still require to pay rental for their living house; require to serve progressive loan interest, even though moratorium was given but the installment will be accumulate and need to clear before VP. Covid-19 is

As a purchaser, is there anything we can do about it? Would like to hear any advise from sifu here.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

imgur.com/yRfShJR.jpg

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

imgur.com/imc0RLz.jpg
imgur.com/37iBfyG.jpg

Sorry Mod, I had to re-post due to some mistake in my first post.

Hi guys, this is my first purchase of landed house.
