MSI A650GF PSU Buzzing

My PSU buzzes randomly. It could suddenly buzz out of nowhere during idling. It wasnt the PSU fan. It still buzzes after shutting down the PC. The only way to stop it is to switch off the wall plug.

I have replaced a new unit from MSI but it still buzzes. The buzzing can be heard from 1 meter even if the buzzing sound source (PSU exhaust) is pointing away from me.

PSU: MSI A650GF
GPU: MSI RTX 4060 Ventus 2X 8GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7500F

Now I have no idea whether I should return the PSU to exchange for a different brand or not.

eq apo uninstalled after laptop restart

i bought a usb c dac to solve noise issue from laptop.

however usually after laptop restart, equalizer apo is uninstalled from my dac. i lazy restart windows audio service to reinstall it.

anyone hv idea how to solve?

hi, i am thinking of whether to buy an ipad or a laptop.

had many issues with many units of laptops, went thru many replacements and refunds.

im thinking of getting ipad+desktop, as you can replace specific parts of a desktop, unlike all things soldered on a laptop.

do i need a laptop in university? or ipad is enough? fyi, i might study engineering in the future.

warm palmrest

hi, just wanna confirm if everyone's laptop becomes warm at the palmrest area when plugged in. note that the battery is fully charged, to make sure the heat doesnt come from the battery.

cuz my laptop is warm at the palmrest when idle, fully charged.

nice. 3rd lenovo laptop malfunctioning under a year again.

yoga slim 7i pro- intermittent frame drop, cannot be triggered

3. screen flickering (solved by updating latest driver (newer than lenovo product support page))

4. google chrome gpu memory leak, causing chrome to have black screen and have abnormal ram usage. solved by changing d3d11>d3d9 in chrome flags. below pic shows chrome's task manager and task manager

solutions tried:
1. install graphics driver from Lenovo website, or intel website. problem occur on all drivers.
2. change os, problem still occur on both windows 11 and windows 10.
3. update latest driver. already updated.
4. install latest bios FJCN71WW( (does not solve)
5. downgrade old bios; version FJCN65WW (does not solve)
6. perform clean install; install windows 10 iso file; does not work

claim warranty again. i think the lady already know me already....
this time with premium warranty. lets see if its any different. there's prioritized parts and onsite service.

damn lucky for me. if I wasn't a poorfag, i would never go for lenovo again.

equalizer suggestions

not too sure if this is the correct section for equalizer. dolby atmos's driver is using 1.6gb ram on my laptop. definitely driver problem. to make my laptop speaker not sound like garbage i have to look for an alternative software.

the best eq software i've used before is equalizer apo. however its hard to switch between different sound profiles.

thus i went for fx sound first. laptop speaker sound good after tuning. then i wanna create another preset for my earphones, but there is a severe gain effect (when without bass vocals louder) it sounds like trash, even i normalize all frequencies (ensure no peak gain, as shown in pic ). i just lower other frequencies only

equalizer apo dont have such problem, only prob is its hard to switch between presets. any other suggestions?

hello guys. quite disappointed with my kz earphones. static sound very serious on laptop/ phone. sound worse than my old xiaomi triple drivers.
boleh suggest best sounding earphones under rm200 tak...... tq
prefer wired bcos better sound quality at this price range.

Lenovo SC, faulty product experience

Long story short, my ideapad 5 pro 14 inch has stuttering issues. lenovo sc wasting time, and stated need several months for refund process.
Specs as below:

contacted service center for the first time since last year December. Ended up wasting 2weeks because I do not have video proof, unable to claim warranty. ok fine i understand.

this year 17 Jan I recorded video of the stuttering and sent them. never update me unless i message them. always say will update me, never pun.

the technician even sent me a wrong mediatek driver while my laptop has qualcomm wifi adapter. wadepak

same, zero update unless i pm. and technician say ooo i asking lenovo. ?? take so many day for wat? wasting time from 19 jan to 8 feb. very funny, like his technician is learning how to fix laptop

22 feb, got informed say my unit facing processor issue. then no update again. whole month has passed and u tell me this

9 march cannot tahan, i go ask again. this time say graphic card problem. nani ??

10 march say amd processor issue again. nani???

they sent me an amd article but my friend who has this exact same laptop as me dont have this issue. so till this date i dont really believe its the processor issue although amd has confirmed it.
they said that amd will only start releasing bios fixes early may. my laptop duno when update.

crazy. i duno i buy this laptop for wat. means my laptop gonna sit at SC for half a year+.

i asked for refund. sc say ok we will send email to apply for refund. they said " fyi the refund process need to have black and white proof and will take several months for the refund process.

lenovo laptop have nice prices but their sc is a joke

edifier t5 subwoofer wierd noise

hey guys, just got a t5 subwoofer and the bass is amazing. but would like to ask t5 owners, is it normal to have a fast "ticking/rattling" noise? When i put my ear near to the driver, there seems to be a very, very quiet rattling (fast tick tick tick) noise. seems like the noise is from the silver cap at the middle of the driver. but actually only audible if i put my ears 5cm away from the driver la. so i not sure is lemon unit or everyone's t5 is like that.
remember to turn down the volume before you help me test 😂 it is really loud

Laptop goes to sleep instead of screen turning off

Hi.

Device: Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 14

Processor AMD Ryzen 5 5600U with Radeon Graphics 2.30 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

So i'd configured my laptop to ONLY turn the screen off after 1 minute on battery power, but apparently automatically it goes to sleep (power light pulsing) even though my battery settings are set to never sleep.

I have to tap on the keyboard to wake it from sleep, then login instead of the screen turns on instantly when i touch the touchpad.

Below is a picture of my power settings:

I have tried the solutions below: 1. command prompt > sfc /scannow

2. restore default power settings

I did some research on my own and apparently it seems to be an issue from modern standby. And there isn't really a way to disable it because people suggested to use linux to disable modern standby in windows 10. I wouldn't want to do that tho.

Any way to solve this? I would my programs continue to run in the background when the screen is off and not letting it go to sleep.

Accidental death on the way to work- Socso claim

My father, age 53 passed away due to accident on his way to work. Now my family can only rely on my mother's salary...
My father's company told us that we can claim socso, so we're currently preparing the required documents.

Lenovo Ideapad L3i screen flickering

hi, so i have a lenovo ideapad l3 laptop and i have screen flickering every time i leave the laptop on "sleep" mode overnight.

it doesnt flicker in bios/task manager, but when i go fullscreen like playing games/watch youtube, it flickers.

so, i sent my laptop for warranty claim, and they replaced the lcd screen and its cable. however, when i gave another test to let it sleep overnight, it still flickers, also only in fullscreen.

i contacted the technician and he told me to connect to an external display to see if it flickers. i connected to my tv via hdmi and it doesn't flicker on the tv but the laptop flickers.

this is the wierd part. if the tv doesn't flicker, then its the laptop screen's problem! but they just replaced a new one. so the technician said it could be the motherboard's problem, and they ordered one and its now on its way.

so my question is:
what could be the cause of the flickering?
after replacing the lcd screen, screen cable and the motherboard, is there any possibility that the flickering would happen again?
which part other than the lcd screen, its cable and the motherboard could be the reason for the flickering?

so i have a lenovo l3i with customized specs, and i have screen flickering which i think is the intel graphics problem, bcz when i disable the intel graphics then no flickering anymore. i sent to lenovo service center to claim warranty but actually idk if i voided my warranty or not. recently removed the hdd inside it, there was a small, round lenovo logo sticker on the screw and i goddamn removed it- also lost it ;-;
so i expect them to inform me i voided the warranty. agak how much will it cost? and also, how long?
