Driving in Japan

Anyone drove in Japan before? Planning to apply international driving license and rent a car while i'm there as most of the places I plan to go is not easily accessible by public transport.

So far i've looked at toyota-rent-a-car and the prices seems pretty reasonable .. but belum factor in parking, fuel, and tolls.

Any other advice or things i should keep an eye out for?

Hi all, planning to buy a car for my mum .. asking sifus for advice between these cars ..

1) Volvo XC60 T8 Inscription Plus
2) S60 T8
3) BMW 330e
4) Mercedes C300
5) 530e M-Sport
6) Lexus NX300 Luxury

I know these cars are very different between each others but these are just some of the cars we are interested in.
