RM3000 Rig Recommendation

Hi people! Kindly recommend me a CPU only with the budget of RM3000
I'll be using this rig to play games with 60fps @ 1080p for both current and upcoming title, racing simulation, movie streaming..
Parts to reuse: Full HD monitor, DVD-ROM

The following parts comes to my mind:

Processor: Intel i5 6400
Motherboard: Asus H110M-D
RAM: Corsair / Kingston 8GB DDR4 Value 2133Mhz
HDD: WD Blue 1TB
GPU: GTX 1060 3GB (brand)
PSU: Silverstone ST50F-ES230 500W 80+
Casing: Prefer to choose good airflow casing for less than RM200 (Thermaltake Versa H2X / Bitfenix Nova / Segotep The Wind?)

And I'm thinking is it worth to upgrade to the following specs for another RM500?

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB (brand)

P.S: Would like u guys to suggest which brand of GPU to take, personally prefer Zotac amp for the price, and prefer Asus/Gigabyte for their performance/quality..
I'm not taking SSD for this build first, wanna test how "slow" 7200rpm is first and only add on SSD in the future if I cant withstand it...

Hope someone could suggest me whether to remain the first planned rig or is it worth the upgrade for another RM500.. Or any better suggestion also can share with me?

LED Monitor Recommendation

I'm in the midst of getting 21.5" or 23" LED monitor on the above model based on my budget... Is the 1.5" make a huge difference?

Is IPS really matter nowadays when it comes to gaming and watching videos? It seems like the monitor technologies nowadays focusing on flickering and blue light reduction... Or anyone have a better suggestion other than these models?

And would be glad to listen to the owners of these monitors to provide your valuable review~

Core 2 Quad or Pentium G?

I'm thinking with a low budget RM1200, which is better between "reviving" aged Core 2 Quad or the latest low end Pentium G in these day...

If go for Core 2 Quad, I'll be getting second handed parts, and if for Pentium G, it will be new unit.

Preferably Intel + nVidia, and my purpose is to play some online games using this rig with kaki (CSGO, Dota, GRID autosport) after work n weekend...
Already have a full HD LCD monitor and i dont mind to play it with lower resolution (at least 720p la) as long as it's smooth...

I have an old casing and ST50F, but is it still be able to support the GPU like GTX 600 series or GTX 750 Ti? I think my budget will only meet these GPU, and another question is these GPU will cause bottleneck when pairing with C2Q / Pentium G?

Briefly searched and specs below meet my budget I'm thinking to get:
C2Q - Q9550 or higher, G41 chipset motherboard, 4GB DDR3 value ram X2, 500GB 7200rpm HDD
Pentium G - G3260, H81 chipset motherboard, 4GB DDR3 value ram X2, 1TB 7200rpm HDD

Hopefully someone can suggest me which is a cheaper and better way to bring old gamer back to gaming lol...

Mobile data turn on automatically?

I heard on this issue from my friend, who appears to be the users of Xiaomi and Lenovo.

I wondering there should be someone who faced the same problem like my friends did, especially during the night when we turned off the mobile data before went to sleep. And here's the catch, the mobile data will turns on automatically by itself despite we turned off the data.

While the other friend who were using the dual sim phone, when SIM 1 mobile data has been turned off, the phone system itself will turns on the mobile data on SIM 2. As a result my friend being charged more as he only using data plan on SIM 1 while SIM 2 without any data plan.

So anybody got idea on how to solve these problems? It appears to be the system UI which turns on automatically?

Honda ECON Button

According to the manual, it was stated that:
"The ECON mode helps you improve your fuel economy by adjusting the performance of the engine, transmission, air conditioning system and cruise control."

But what I'm wondering of this statement, however, is the statement generally tell us that this feature will decrease the engine performance in order to get a better fuel efficiency.

So when and how should we should best use of this feature? As I searched through the forum I found that some suggested that driving with ECON mode on can either be having a better fuel efficiency or even have a higher fuel consumption.

So come share your experience and discuss about this ECON~ Is this ECON button better to be used in traffic jam, normal driving @ 80km/h , high speed highway, or it doesn't make a difference, etc...

Fast Address Bar

Just using the desktop as usual, and found out that my browser search engine no longer can set back to default (google) anymore.

Asked my bro who only know how to play pc games, he told me that the browser change itself after he installed a latest game downloaded on the web.

I suspect that the file that he downloaded are the main cause to this problem...

Therefore everytime when i open my browser, it will show as the first picture uploaded...
and when i enter any search, then the 2nd picture shows that "fast address bar" thingy...

Googled around and cant find any solution... Anybody here faced the same problem here? And is the only fix is by using command prompt?

hope anyone help me pls...

Replacing GPU

I'm using the spec as shown in my sig...

now the 9800GTX+ is faulty, sometimes it can run and sometimes it wont...

So i got to change to a newer card but i dunno wat latest GPU that has similar performance of 9800GTX+...
I want to change a card that has almost the same performance with 9800GTX+ as i feel it's enough, and the similar spec now should have been cheaper...

Anyone can let me know what is the new similar spec GPU that has the performance of 9800GTX+ for now?

My current spec as shown in signature, has failed to operate due to power supply failure...

It's already under warranty and they return me a new unit, but it is still failure...

So now thinking to change another brand of the same type of psu, any recommendation for the decent power supply based on my spec below?

WD External HDD

Why everytime when i plug in my WD external hdd into my 2 laptop and desktop, all of them will keep on showing that "windows explorer is restarting" and then this situation will keep on repeating when i searching my files in my external hdd...it's annoying...

Is this meant that my external hdd is the causes that causing all my pc windows explorer to keep on restarting?

One of my fren told me is because of the external hdd failure... Any friends here also face the same problem before like me?

Hope someone can give me opinion about this problem and provide suggestion on whether the external hdd is in failure...

From the comparison sheet, I found out that other than the Walkman player, everything is the same...
So is it mean that both phone is the same except the Walkma player that sounds nicer only?
Price also about the same, why need to introduce a phone that is almost same?

Still use as usual yesterday, but today it cant load already...
Didnt do anything special, except yesterday mozilla prompt out to inform me to update it...
After update still can use, but today cannot use already...

Already try with IE also facing the same problem...
Re-install Adobe Flash already yet problem still occurs...

Anyone can help me solve the problem?

Samsung 2233SW

Recently my 2233SW will always pop out a menu box (by samsung monitor menu, not from the windows) that shows that to adjust the brightness.
This menu box is same as when i press the brightness menu manually by pressing the button beside the monitor.

Now it shows out itself without pressing on it, and it will comes out for a certain period...
for example, once i off it, 1 hour later pop out again the same thing...

Is this shows that my 2233SW is having hardware problem?
And what should I do to resolve?

Hope can get some idea on how to fix it...
Opinions to solve it is greatly appreciated.

It appears when i'm loading youtube video.
Actually what is it? It is not the GTA Vice City game since i didnt install it...

After the kaspersky detect it, i click on restrict it.

Then, my computer start to be a bit lag and then hang once for a while...

Is this a virus? And what i should i do to clear it? Is it by using kapsersky to block it?

Need help to know what is happening, thank you...

14" sport rims

Wanna getting myself a set of 14" rims for my LMST...
Sure many ppl will tell me better to get 15" instead...

But i had my reason to get 14"...
Once i change LMST to sport rim, the original LMST rim will shift to my dad's nissan sunny...
Reason is because i rarely drive LMST n my dad drive it quite often, i change to sport rim is because want to change the tires so that the rubber won't getting harder...

Yet i try find a lot of shop nearby, yet they all didnt sell 14" rims...
And i don't want to have local rims, i planning to get taiwan's rims...
So i would like to ask is there any shop to recommend for me to get the rims nearby cheras?

LCD problem

My friend currently want to sell his 23" samsung LCD P2350 to me at the price of RM450, a less than one year LCD...

But i found out that there is a dot that looks like cannot function... Is it called dead pixels?
What i want to ask is, will dead pixels this problem getiing more serious? And is it related to the usage problem? cause he say his pc is on 24/7 (but i dunno he got off his monitor anot when he is sleeping la...)

If dead pixels is really a matter, or it will be getting serious, then i think i wont buy le...

So is there anyone experience this problem before? or any advice to get a monitor with a "one dot" dead pixels?

WD External hard disk drive

My WD External hard disk drive recently looks like got some errors...
When using it, let say when i'm copying files or loading pictures that i stored in it. it will have "tick" sounds...
And some iso files that i stored in it also coruppted...

Anyone knows what's the problem now?
Is it started to have problem n should go claim for warranty?
If take it for warranty, is it all my files inside it will be gone?

Hopes someone can tell me what's happening...

my desktop spec as in the signature...

currently using windows vista... yesterday thinking of using windows 7 as i feel vista is not that good...

so i do a fresh installation of windows 7 on the desktop.

the problem occurs when during installation stages, at the last stages that know as completing installation, on the half way suddenly the screen turns back and it looks like freeze... i cannot even see my mouse cursor, or try to go task manager also no use...

so i redo the format process again, yet it is still same.

Before format, it is still working, and now i have one question about this:
is this related to my GPU? i think so before when i using vista and the same spec, i had encountered this problem as show in the link. http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1194383&hl=

So is there the possibility?
Well, i mean when installing windows 7, then it also install the drivers for motherboard and gpu also? Mean we no need to reinstall again by using the drivers cd?

Yesterday i format my sister laptop, whereby there's no cd so this process is known as recovery or something else like that...

So the problem is after do the recovery. Everything seems nice after do the recovery, just look like the first day i got the laptop, like totally new.

BUT, the problems occurs when i update my windows.after download all windows update and install them, then the laptop asked for restart. So i restart it, and let the windows finish the update. This is where the problem start, after restart and before entering the windows, whereby the words "Preparing to configure windows, do not turn off your computer" appears on screen. It keeps loading and 5 hours pass and the screen is still there.

So i redo the whole process again, and it is still the same...

May i know what is the problem? Is it about the laptop or windows? And what should i do to make it become normal again? Very pity that she cant use pc for now...

Is there any RMVB player suggestion?
Yesterday go lowyat searching for one, but almost every shop recommending different types and brands, make me confuse already and dunno which one to choose...

Generally i'm searching one that can view RMVB, AVI, H.264, MKV, ISO format...
Have an USB port to connect to pendrive or external hdd...
About the HDMI cable, is it free also with the purchase of HDD Media Player? Hope to get one that the cable included with the player...

Hope someone can recommend me one good player that is getting many good reviews~
