How to connect sound card to a speaker?

My Sony Hifi set just failed on me.
All the while I'm linking my sound card to the audio in behind the hifi set and stream my mp3 with the Hifi speaker (8 ohm).

But now since it kaput already, I'm wondering is there anyway to get rid of the unit and link the sound card straight away to the speaker instead? I foresee some converter is necessary but I have no clue what to look for.

Seeking for advice with this workshop & insurance

Dear all,

I'd just got into an accident and had sent my car for repair with this workshop. I make a claim from the insurance.
According to the workshop, it should be ready fastest in one week time and latest two weeks. But now, it have been 2 weeks and 5 days.

Exactly at the end of the two weeks, I gave them a call to check the status. A guy told me that they're painting the car, and later need to assemble it back and do testing. He claimed they need few days more. I hung up and about an hour later, a lady called me told me that my car is ready and I can pick it up (I was like what the hell is going on?). When I got to the bus stop, the same lady called me again and told me that my car isn't ready yet because there's an oil leak. Isn't that funny that few hours back they said they're painting and assembling, need few days, and few hours later they said it's ready, and 5 minutes later they said there's an oil
leak issue?

They sound really fishy to me. Yesterday is the 5th day after 2 weeks of waiting and I gave them a call again. They told me they're waiting for the insurance to come over to check the oil leak (I think is to recalculate the cost for repair).

Now, I need to seek for all your advice on whether this workshop can me trusted and what they're telling is the truth? So far I haven't check with the insurance. When I called the insurance that time, they seem to have a very close relation with this workshop.

Local Area Network show Limited or no connectivity

Hi buddy,

I am facing the problem as mentioned ever after I get home yesterday night. First, I suspected the modem got burnt down by lightning. And so I get it replaced by another one, but the problem persist.

I called TMnet to check with them, they asked me to assign an IP to the LAN:

IP: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.1.2

After I get it assign to the LAN, the problem gone. But, the thing is I can only get connected with the new modem, while the old one still got the same problem even with IP assigned.

Any idea? Is that really a modem faulty?

How to calculate staff's salary?

First of all, I don't know is this the right place to ask. Forgive me if it's not.

On the way learning to be my own boss, I came across this question on salary calculation. As far as I know, an employee salary involves a lot of factors such as whether he/she OT for the month, did he/she take any unpaid leave for that month? Is he/she single or married? How many children does he has if married? Etc. Because we need all that to get the right value from Socso table, EPF table, PCB (Potongan Gaji Bulanan).

The thing is, I am not sure which item to be calculated first & do I need to include allowance, OT into the gross salary before I use that value to calculate Socso, EPF, PCB?

May someone with the experience provide enlighten me please?

Maxis Promotional SMS is so annoying!

I keep on receiving so called <FREESMS> from various 5 digits number claiming they are from Maxis. I found that's annoying so I made a call to customer service centre request to cancel off every promotional sms from them. The first operation asked me to type "STOP" and send to the numbers to terminate the service. However, none of them work, by saying the command that I sent is invalid (wtf). I made another call to the support centre request to cancel the annoying sms, that fellow asked for my number and he said after 24 hours I won't be receiving any sms of this kind from Maxis again.

Soon later, I receive a sms asking me to rate their operator from 1-5 and thank god, I didn't rate them a 5 because today I receive a few more <FREESMS> from Maxis again. Sometime, I wonder do they understand human-language? Or they just force their customer to receive this form of advertisement so that they can make more money to promote their lauzy services on various medium? (again, WTF)

Can someone teach me to cancel that off!?
