[Help] Mechanical Engineering in Semicond Field?

To all the engineering sifus here:

Is it really a good pathway in semiconductor field for mechanical engineering student? I am currently interested in the fabrication process, testing, packaging so on in semicon. However, due to the lack of exposure in electronics subject I am scared that I might need to further studies for a MS degree (will this help?). At the same time, I also saw some semicon job requirements listed they need mech guy but our uni didnt provide the subject that fit to this industry. Abit kind of in dilemma now, although I am still in my 2nd year. Hope to seek for some advice from the sifus here what a mech guy can do in semicon field or any other.

(ps: I will not consider for oil and gas, M&E because I know Fluid & Thermo is not my strength)

Thank you for your time.
