Ok so I know a lot of you aren’t stranger to the code so let me shoot some facts your way.

Bought Base Game + ShadowBringers on Steam for 60$ on (steam AUS-EU) with billing address in Aus

Have a registered an account on Mogstation in AUS -EU

i DO NOT live in AUS , I live in Malaysia. Malaysia is not a supported region but I’ve used my steam to purchase multiple region lock games from AUS steam store before.

I have emailed support ..

Now whenever I try to punch in the cd key , I get hit with the error.

Things ive tried ,

Use my mobile/data

turn off vpn/Adblock

Turn ON VPN to Aus

Make brand new acc to redeem the key

Use IE/Firefox

I assume most of the fixes only work if you are actually in the right country as your account , billing etc..

Now my questions are :

how likely is this issue to be resolved ?

has anyone else from an unsupported region been able to bypass this ?

should I be upfront with support about my location ?

has anyone ever refunded the game as steam currently has ffxiv+shadowbringers under “unrefundable” tag

if I got a friend in AUS , would they potentiallly be able to create a SE acc and redeem the code for me ?

I thank everyone who replies for their time , I’m currently feeling quite upset as after playing the trial for a week I finally bought the game and now I’m stuck not being able to play it my heart is heavy but I have hope
