online platform earnings situation

My friend was introduced to an online gambling platform by Person A. He used it for a while, made some earnings, and successfully withdrew money to his bank account before. Recently, Person A helped my friend top up funds on the platform to assist my friend (so called), and my friend managed to win and accumulate a significant amount (capital + earnings = around RM100,000).

Now, my friend wants to withdraw this winnings to his bank account and return the original capital to Person A. My friend has initiated the withdrawal on the platform, but the money has not yet appeared in his bank account (a few hours d). My friend is unsure whether this delay is normal (bank could be putting a hold on it due to huge transfer?) or if he is being scammed (if money was never sent out by the platform to begin with).

Most importantly, my friend wants to avoid any legal or tax troubles. What would be the best course of action for him now? How can he protect himself legally and financially?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does the choice of programming language matter

Will it influence your available career options later on, given how tough the tech market is? To be precise, I am deciding on whether to take up jobs with less popular programming languages (Ruby, Scala, Golang, etc.) or not. Given I want to do Java in the future.

I am very much aware that programming languages generally do not matter, but I have to think from the perspectives of the recruiters, right?

Are companies particular about tech stack exp?

Wondering if companies in Malaysia highly particular about their programming languages/tech stack (aka not tech agnostics)? Will I face severe reduction of options later on in career if i opt for a job with a different programming language that the one I want? Currently a software engineering fresh grad hehe.

I am a Computer Science student and will be doing internship soon. I have looked through many places to check out the internship programmes like AIP etc, but it seems I am not eligible for any of the working visas lol.

So my question is, is this possible? and how? FYI, I am 32-year-old this year, but with good academic records and strong knowledge in programming.

My eventual goal is to work in SG. or is it better to just intern in Malaysia?

Demand of Data Scientists in Malaysia

I am a Computer Science student currently in year 2. As it's a 3-year course, I will be graduating very soon so I am trying to learn up some skills to be as market ready as possible.

Just wondering how high the demand is in Malaysia for junior data scientist role? As in, for fresh grads.

It seems from the available job pools data scientist roles usually require few years of experience. On the other hand, there are plenty of junior developer roles, especially web developers. And I don't want to end up as a "data analyst" who does data entry and some basic operations. In that case, I might as well choose a development and aim for it lol.

Currently in my second year as Computer Science student in MMU. Almost halfway in the 3-year degree so need to start building portfolio, but it seems MMU doesn't provide many meaningful activities for students to build their portfolio

So my question is, how am I going to build up my portfolio, other than learning some technical skills during my spare time??!

Would appreciate if anyone could give me a rough estimate specifically for a C.S. grad.

Also, is there any difference in starting salary if you graduated with a First Class Honours?

Which software development is in demand in Malaysia. Not exactly sure about the types out there, but I appreciate if someone can point me to one with good and stable prospect.

Also, will be taking computer science with Artificial Intelligence subjects in it. Not sure how much they matter and also wondering if Data Scientist or Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence is even a thing and worth pursuing in Malaysia.
