Wi-Fi Calling (VoWiFi) on Unifi Mobile

Hello everyone,

I noticed my wife Unifi Mobile (Bebas Prepaid) has VoWiFi enabled on her phone since more than a month ago. Immediately, I tried many things to enable VoWiFi on my Unifi Mobile (Bebas Prepaid, too) line but to no avail.

Suddenly, a few days ago (last week or this week, don't remember), I noticed my own Unifi Mobile line has VoWiFi turned on, too.

My phone:
-Xiaomi Poco X3 GT, MIUI Global 14.0.1 (stock ROM),
-SIM #1: Unifi Mobile; SIM #2: Hotlink Prepaid (data/internet line),
-VoLTE & VoWiFi carrier checks already disabled since the beginning.

Wife's phone:
-Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G, MIUI Global 13.0.6 (stock ROM),
-SIM #1: Hotlink Prepaid (data/internet line); SIM #2: Unifi Mobile,
-Also has both VoLTE & VoWiFi carrier checks already disabled since the beginning.

I tried calling out, then receiving call (called in), same network, different networks, landline, all work fine (can answer call and hear voice clearly, just a subtle lag/latency).

Does anyone else have VoWiFi turned on for their Unifi Mobile lines already? How's the call quality?

[HELP] Proper Voltage Level for Laptop Battery

Hi everyone,

I just purchased new replacement laptop batteries (2 units) for an Acer Aspire 4736G, and both of them cannot be charged at all. Both arrived at 0% charge level.

I tried everything possible for many days, short of jumpstarting the battery packs directly.

The first battery has around ~7.939V, while the second one has ~6.95V. I use NirSoft's BatteryInfoView to get the information: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/battery_information_view.html

The battery is rated at 11.1V on the label.

These batteries are obviously generic, non-original as Acer no longer produce batteries for laptop model from more than 13 years ago.

So, are 7.9V and 6.95V okay or not? Please advise.

-I'm looking to buy a Xiaomi Poco X3 GT, but I'm wary about reports regarding weak, unstable signal reception (specifically cellular, but I'm concerned about Wi-Fi and GPS, too).
Are there any Poco X3 GT users here? Can share you experience?

-Maybe you could share:
1. First time using it (what firmware version)?
2. Any improvements (or regressions) after series of firmware updates?
3. Which telco(s)? Location(s)? Signal strength, speed & stability? Do phone get hot easily when using mobile data?

-Also, any recommendations for phone with excellent cellular/mobile signal reception for under RM1500? Requirements:
1. Preferrably MediaTek Dimensity 1000 and above as I want AV1 hardware decoding

Windows 10 Cannot Detect Partition, but Linux Okay

Hello everyone,

I currently have a laptop (Fujitsu LifeBook S761/D) that suddenly cannot boot into Windows 10. It has an SSD (Kim MiDi TB900 120GB) which has been GPT-partitioned and installed Windows 10 on it. It worked fine for nearly a year before suddenly cannot boot (slow BIOS POST with HDD/SSD light constantly on, like dying HDD sign).

I booted using a Windows 10 (20H1) USB disk; in DiskPart it cannot even detect the partition type (it doesn't show the GPT flag) and cannot list any volume/partition. So, I cannot run CHKDSK or FIXBOOT/FIXMBR/etc.

Strangely enough, in Linux (Ubuntu 20.04.3 live USB) the partitions on the disk can be detected and can be mounted normally (all partitions are visible); I can even browse and copy files too. Both GNOME Disk Utility (Disks app) and GParted shows no errors (already checked the SSD using short and long DST tests, no problem).

-I'm looking for Streamyx package with RM69/month or cheaper, as new subscriber will be charged RM89/month. If there's RM38 for 8Mbps (few lucky people got it), then it's even better!

-FYI, I'm currently using wireless broadband, but connection speed is really inconsistent, and fibre broadband is still not available in my area.

VoLTE on Oppo R9s with Yes 4G

Hello,

Does anyone here use Yes 4G SIM in Oppo R9s (model CPH1607; latest firmware A.25 190425)? Are you able to use VoLTE?

If VoLTE is not enabled, does it affect SMS send/receive ability? I can only use internet (4G LTE data connection), but no call (as there's no VoLTE), and no SMS too.

Any feedback is appreciated.

-Do any of you here use Oppo R9s? Vanilla R9s, not R9s Plus (model CPH1607); official Malaysian set.

-Do you succeeded in getting VoLTE support (and maybe VoWiFi too)? What telco you're currently on? And what firmware version do you currently have? According to Oppo Malaysia support website (https://support.oppo.com/my/software-update...download/?m=R9s), the latest is version CPH1607EX_11_A.25_190425 which is already installed.

-I found out that it's supposed to support VoLTE here: https://www.fetnet.net/web/file/HandSet/gui...o_R9s_volte.pdf, but cannot find similar VoLTE/VoWiFi options as depicted there (under Call settings). Can it be that it's for China-only ROM, or carrier-specific ROM?

-I'm thinking about doing a factory reset to see if it might help, but need to confirm first whether it really support it or not.

-A few days ago, my LG WF-HX120GV top-load washing machine was making loud noise (like metal clashing), so I turned it off immediately.

-When checked, it appears some of the gears's cogs/'teeth' has broken, please look at the photo & video attached.

-So, does this type of damage is covered by that 10-years warranty for motor? Technically, this broken gears is part of the motor (it isn't being sold separately). Will LG honour the warranty claim?

Questions on Streamyx/Unifi Lite Current Pricing

I have some questions to all Streamyx/Unifi Lite customers out there: we all know that currently Streamyx customers are paying RM69/month (actually RM73.14 after 6% tax; not sure people in tax-free regions are exempted or not?), or RM89 (before 6% tax) for new customers after September 2019.

However, there are some who already paying lower rate since before the major price revision on August 2019, such as RM38/month.

So, could you please chirp-in here and tell us:

1. How much you're currently paying every month? Since when?

2. What package you originally registered on? E.g. CoolUniPack? When?

3. What's your current speed now? 1/2/3/4/8Mbps? Or 10Mbps (SUBB VDSL2, with 5Mbps upload)? What's the speed originally?

4. Are you satisfied with your download speed? How about upload speed?

5. Are you frequently asking/pushing TM for fibre expansion into your area?
