Ampang azan petition suspect placed on Special Circular List, barred from leaving country, says Selangor police chief

SHAH ALAM, April 26 — The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has placed a local man suspected of being involved in the azan petition issue in Ampang on the Special Circular List to prevent him from fleeing the country.

Selangor police chief Datuk Shazeli Kahar said the measure was taken following police reports lodged by residents and members of a surau committee in the area regarding a petition raised in the housing estate.

“So far, the suspect has yet to be arrested, but he has been placed on the Special Circular List to ensure he does not leave Malaysia. Efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend him.

“Once listed under this Special Circular List, individuals will face difficulties leaving the country, as their names are registered at airports. If detected, they will be arrested,” he said at a press conference after attending the Run With Royalty PDRM Selangor 2026 at Elmina Lakeside Mall here today.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 4(1) of the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act after preliminary investigations found elements of an offence committed by the suspect.

He said that so far, police have recorded statements from several individuals, including representatives of the local community affected by the issue, to help complete the investigation papers.

He added that an individual from a councillor’s office has also come forward to provide a statement, enabling authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation from multiple angles.

“We have yet to locate the suspect and will call him in to assist in the investigation as soon as possible. If members of the public know his whereabouts, please contact the Ampang district police headquarters so that we can complete the investigation.

“At this stage, the investigation is still ongoing. We are examining the motive behind the case. Therefore, we ask for space to carry out a transparent and fair investigation for all parties,” he said.

In this regard, Shazeli advised the public to avoid committing offences under the Sedition Act, including exercising restraint when expressing emotions in any actions or written communication.

Last Friday, a surau committee in Ampang lodged a report at the Pandan Indah police station against an individual who allegedly objected to the sounding of the azan (call to prayer), congregational prayers at the premises and the use of the surau’s outdoor space. — Bernama

Deliveryman Tricks Woman Into Letting Him Into Her Home, Sexually Assaults Her & Records Videos

According to China Press, the incident occurred at her Taman OUG apartment in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday, 26 February.

The 24-year-old woman had reportedly arranged for a delivery service to transport items from her previous residence to her new home.

When the deliveryman arrived, he allegedly claimed he needed to enter her bedroom to look for certain items.

Once inside, he reportedly pushed her onto the bed and began removing her clothes.

The victim resisted, prompting the suspect to allegedly smother her face with a pillow and choke her.

He then threatened to kill her if she did not stop screaming

It is understood that the victim pleaded with the man not to rape her.

The suspect allegedly took out his phone to record the sexual assault, reported China Press.

Fearing for her life, the victim complied with his demands. After the assault, he allegedly forced her to smile for a selfie and warned her not to lodge a police report.

He then allegedly dragged her to the basement, where his van was parked, and continued assaulting her while recording more videos

He later fled the scene.

Upon returning to her apartment, the victim discovered bruises and injuries on her neck, back, and legs.

The suspect later allegedly apologised to her via text messages. She subsequently lodged a police report.

Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Hoo Chang Hook confirmed receiving the report.

He stated that the case is currently being investigated by the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department's Sexual, Women, and Child Investigations Division (D11) under Section 377C of the Penal Code for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent.

The defendant is therefore charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code (using violence against another person with intent to commit indecent acts), which, if convicted, carries a penalty of up to 10 years imprisonment, a fine, caning, or both. Another charge is under Section 377B of the Penal Code (unnatural sexual acts), which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and caning.

The defendant initially pleaded guilty, but after the interpreter presented the case, he felt the charge of causing bodily harm was too harsh and, due to doubts about the charges, chose not to plead guilty.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Wafa requested a date from the judge for preparing and submitting evidence; the defendant was unrepresented.

The Sessions Court judge set March 30th as the next hearing.

(Penang, 19th) A Malay soldier was arrested by police for suspected home invasion robbery and has been remanded for five days to assist in the investigation. During the crime, the suspect also bound the female victim's hands, stuffed her underwear into her mouth, and then stole her gold jewelry before fleeing.

The 41-year-old Malay male suspect was escorted by police to the George Town Magistrate's Court this morning and was granted a five-day remand until the 23rd of this month (Friday).

(Kuala Lumpur, 10th - Exclusive Report) A Chinese couple was robbed and humiliated after a "mukbang" challenge in their car, with the woman ultimately being sexually assaulted!

A Chinese woman and her boyfriend were doing a "mukbang" challenge in their car when a man suddenly threatened them with a T-Baton. He not only extorted RM260 but also ordered them to have sex in front of him and forced the woman to perform oral sex.

The incident occurred at 11:30 pm on the 6th of this month outside a hamburger shop in the Setapak area of Kuala Lumpur. The suspect is believed to be a perfume salesman who forced the couple to buy all his perfumes during the crime.

According to information obtained by Sin Chew Daily, the 19-year-old woman and her boyfriend bought hamburgers and were doing the "mukbang" challenge in their car. About an hour later, a car pulled up next to theirs, and a man asked them what they were doing in the car.

It is understood that the man then falsely accused the two of having sexual intercourse, brandished a police baton as a threat, and claimed to be a security guard, stating that their actions warranted arrest.

The man then reportedly took the victim and her boyfriend's Malaysian identity cards and forced them to buy all the perfumes he was selling, totaling RM260.

When the woman claimed she had no money, the man instructed her to transfer the money, took their phones, and threatened to call others to accompany him for an hour if she didn't.

The man also reportedly threatened to force them to have sex in front of him; terrified, the woman and her boyfriend were forced to comply. Shortly afterward, the man got into his car and ordered the woman to perform oral sex on him.

Reports indicate that the woman and her boyfriend were threatened and tortured for five hours. After succeeding, the man claimed he had used the same methods on others before fleeing the scene.

In response to inquiries today, Wangsa Maju District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Razim, stated that police confirmed receiving a report from the female victim alleging that she and her 20-year-old boyfriend were threatened by the suspect into having sex in a car. Police are investigating the case under Sections 392 (robbery) and 377C (unconscionable sexual intercourse against nature) of the Penal Code.

He revealed that police arrested a 24-year-old Malay man in Damansara, Selangor, on the 8th of this month, and he has been remanded until the 14th to assist with the investigation.

KANGAR - Seorang anggota polis berpangkat koperal mengaku tidak bersalah di Mahkamah Majistret di sini hari ini atas tujuh pertuduhan merogol seorang remaja perempuan bawah umur pada tahun lepas dan tahun ini.

Muhammad Farhan Abdul Karim, 34, minta dibicarakan selepas pertuduhan itu dibacakan jurubahasa di hadapan Majistret Ana Rozana Mohd Nor.

Mengikut kesemua pertuduhan, lelaki itu didakwa merogol remaja perempuan itu yang kini berusia 15 tahun di beberapa lokasi di sini pada November 2024 serta antara Jun, Julai, September dan Oktober lepas.

Lelaki itu dituduh melakukan perbuatan tersebut di dalam sebuah kenderaan Proton Waja milik pasukan Polis Diraja Malaysia berhadapan Bengkel Reka Bentuk Teknologi & Teknologi 1 sebuah sekolah menengah, di sini.

Tertuduh didakwa melakukan perbuatan sama di tandas perempuan dan tandas lelaki sekolah yang sama, serta di sebuah hotel dan rumah di Taman Hijrah di sini.

Muhammad Farhan didakwa mengikut Seksyen 376 Kanun Keseksaan yang memperuntukkan hukuman penjara tidak kurang 10 tahun dan tidak melebihi 30 tahun dan hendaklah juga dihukum dengan sebatan jika didapati bersalah.

Ana Rozana kemudiannya membenarkan Muhammad Farhan diikat jamin berjumlah RM42,000 bagi kesemua pertuduhan itu, berserta syarat tambahan tidak dibenarkan mendekati mangsa sehingga kes selesai.

Mahkamah menetapkan 20 Januari 2026 untuk sebutan semula kes sementara menunggu laporan forensik.

Youth and Sports Ministry plans more motorsports circuits nationwide

LANGKAWI: The Youth and Sports Ministry is preparing to establish more motorsports racing circuits nationwide to strengthen motorsports development and capitalise on the strong interest among young people.

Youth and Sports Minister, Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari said the ministry has received numerous proposals from various parties related to motorsports development, including requests to build permanent circuits.

"I have only recently taken office, and among the earliest applications I received were proposals to construct racing circuits. Each will be examined thoroughly.

"These projects can be implemented through close cooperation between the federal and state governments," he told reporters today.

Taufiq said every proposal submitted to him would be assessed on its merits to ensure motorsports development is carried out in a structured and sustainable manner.

"I hope motorsports can truly be enjoyed by everyone, particularly grassroots communities, across different age groups and races.

"To me, motorsports should not be seen as an exclusive sport, but one that is accessible and accepted by all," he said.

He also said that sports should not be linked to political ideology, but should serve as a unifying platform capable of bringing Malaysians together regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.

Taufiq said the ministry's key focus is to provide positive platforms and avenues so that young people's interest and hobbies in motorsports can be channelled into safe, constructive and beneficial activities.

"That is the role of the government and the ministry, to ensure the passions of our youth are translated into positive pursuits that ultimately benefit the country," he added.

TAWAU: A religious teacher, Muhammad Sabri Saidin, 30, claimed trial in the Sessions Court, here, on Wednesday to sexually grooming a 15-year-old boy through messages and WhatsApp texts containing sexual content last April.
The charge was read before Judge Ahmad Faizadh Yahaya, who also granted bail of RM8,000 with two local sureties.
Additional conditions include monthly reporting to the nearest police station until the case concludes, a prohibition from approaching the victim or any witnesses, and a requirement to attend all court dates.
Mention for the case has been set for January 26, 2026.

Sabri is accused of using his mobile phone to send the messages to the teenager between 1.48pm and 2.10pm on April 4, at a village along Jalan Sin San.
The offence, under Section 15(e) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, carries a maximum jail term of 10 years, a fine of up to RM20,000, or both.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Haikal Hazwan Md Yatin had sought RM10,000 bail, noting that the offence is generally non-bailable.
Sabri, who was unrepresented, requested a lower amount, stating he had lost his job and was supporting his wife on a previous salary of RM1,100.

In a separate case, a secondary school teacher, Mohamad Idzwan Shah Jaafar, was discharged not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) on two counts of physically sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl three years ago.
Judge Ahmad Faizadh ordered the discharge after being informed that the victim could not be located, vacating trial dates set for April 16 and 17 next year.

49yo M’sian Man Allegedly Makes 18yo Daughter Pregnant, Tells Court He’s Innocent
The victim was reportedly abused since she was six.

A 49-year-old used-clothing trader was accused of committing incest against his 18-year-old daughter, which resulted in her getting pregnant.

According to NST, the accused, who was unnamed, allegedly committed the offense at their home in Kubang Pasu, Kedah, at 9am on Oct 30.

He was charged under Section 376B(1) of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of between 10 and 30 years and whipping upon conviction.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the accused and his wife have a total of five children, with the victim being the oldest daughter.

It also reported that the victim was sexually abused by her father for a total of 12 years from the time when she was only six years old, where the abuse usually took place whenever she was absent from school due to illness.

She only discovered about her pregnancy after experiencing abdominal discomfort and seeking medical attention at a clinic on Nov 10.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has stressed that the government will not compromise on any event involving the serving of alcohol or activities that contradict educational values within school premises, including after school hours.

He said that even if a school hall is rented by external parties such as alumni associations, it should not be used for events that violate the nation’s educational rules and philosophy.

“The school environment must be safeguarded... even after school hours, the use of school halls should not be allowed for activities that go against the rules of all schools.

“Even if it is said to be rented by an independent body, if there is alcohol or gambling involved, that is not educating our children. It goes against our own educational concept and philosophy,” he said during Minister’s Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat today.

THREE police officers have been detained in Kuala Lumpur to assist in an investigation into the alleged extortion and molestation of a female student.

The arrests were made following a police report filed by the student, who claimed she and her boyfriend were stopped by a group of officers in Sentul Pasar.

She alleged that she was extorted for RM10,000 and forced to have sexual relations with one of the officers.

The student also claimed that one of the officers molested her by pinching her breast during the encounter.

The incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. on September 17 when the student and her boyfriend were stopped by three policemen near a food stall in Sentul.

According to the police report, the officers allegedly seized their phones and identification cards without consent.

Two of the officers reportedly accessed the boyfriend’s phone, viewing private photos. The third officer then separated the student from her boyfriend, threatening that the photos constituted a “serious offence” that could lead to a fine or imprisonment.

The student claimed in her report that the officer demanded she either pay RM10,000 on the spot or engage in sexual acts with him to “settle” the matter.

He allegedly threatened that her life and education would be ruined if she was jailed. The officer reportedly proposed repeated sexual encounters, including spending the night with him, and threatened to detain her boyfriend if she refused.

He also allegedly molested her by pinching her left breast during the two-hour encounter and retained her MyKad, promising to return it only if she met him again.

The student claimed the officer also promised her money and an iPhone if she maintained a sexual relationship with him.

Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad confirmed the arrests, stating, "The arrests were made to assist the investigation into the police report filed by the female student.

“All individuals involved have been remanded for four days to assist the investigation under Section 384 of the Penal Code and Section 354 of the Penal Code." - September 19, 2025

been working in this company for close to 5 years now
the company has 2 team handling different project

Im with team B, worked for close to 5 years now
Team A worked on diff project but they will rotate to us here everyday to do sales

Until about a year ago, the project at Team A is finished and disbanded, they all move to Team B to join us as well
Each team got 5 person. But eventhough they officially joined us, they don't need to do anything here as the jobscope still handled by us, the original team B member.

Now after a year, company got promotion list, one of the sales staff from Team A got promoted to assistant sales manger.
The problem is, she got 0 sales for our project
While i got the most sales, just my sales alone is more than the rest of the sales staff combined (including Team A), and also handling the agency that contribute the most sales to the project.

Yet I don't get promotion

I don't mind if i don't get promotion, and has no issue on promoting other sales staff with sales
But promoting someone with 0 sales at all, plus only with SPM qualification (I have bachelor degree second upper)

Even if she has been promoted, still doesn't need to do anything here
