Does you vote actually mean shit?

To be honest, i have lived through countless regime and under countless leaders of various race+various political affiliation in my constituent.

No matter who i vote, my life still is hard. I still need to struggle for my business. For the past 10 years+ of my working life, whoever win literally does not affect my daily life or my situation in life. Majority all sembang manis sampai langit.

Should i just vote for the person who give me the most value? Like how voting for PAS will literally increase my good deeds?

How to deal with workers demanding higher pay?

My brother owns a few bubble tea shop in Kuching and selangor. Business have been bad since the lockdown began but alleviated somewhat by online orders via grabfood.

For those who dont know, the profit margin for people in this industry is around 55%. 45% is the cost of ingredient to create the drink it self.

This 55% profit have to pay for rent, worker salary, overhead and all the other miscellaneous cost. The rent for the shop in kuching is Rm1200 a month including electricity.

For context, on an average day the sales would be around 200-500 drinks while on a good day(Before MCO) it would be around double that. A bad day could yield less then 50 drinks.

From this the gross profit is only around Rm1500-Rm5000 a day whereby the running cost a day is upwards of Rm2000-Rm3000 a day.

After paying for all the expenses including franchise fees usually there will be just around Rm10k-Rm25k profit left per month before wages.

One shop needs around 3 worker and the usual salary is Rm1.3k a month(We pay higher then the market rate of Rm1100 to have more motivated workers).

The problem now is that it seems some of the worker is starting to think they should be paid Rm1.5k a month due to having years of experience. What is the best course of action here?

1. Give them Rm1.6k and make them sign a 10 year contract with that Rm1.6k salary?

2. Give Rm1.5k to 2 workers but fire the third?

3. Fire them and bring in fresh blood. (Its actually cheaper in this industry to hire new Rm1100 workers and train them up compared to giving an experienced worker a raise to retain them.)

As high ground clearance as possible.

3. Reliable and dont have to visit the mechanic 6 times a year like a Conti car.

4.
Entry level luxury car a mark of desperation

Most doctors and dentist on social media seems to agree that buying an entry level 0 spec luxury car is basically saying you cant afford a luxury car at all yet insist on getting a luxury car.

So basically driving a baseline 0 spec luxury car is a mark of shame and desperation just like how driving a Rm23k baseline Axia is a sign you are either a fresh grad or you basically suck at your job big time.

"Datuks" in upper M40...

Just wanted to share my experience. Recently, i was in Sri Hartamas to visit an old friend. I found out that in the apartment he lives in, there were more then 25 people with the title "Datuk".

I was curious as to what these Datuk are doing for a living and according to him, they were all businessman. Most impresive was that one of the datuk teach Taekwando for a living. I literally have the advertisement for his classes in my phone...

Perhaps there is a way to buy a datukship? If there is i want to buy one too. I might only be earning Rm6k a month but if a person teaching Taekwando full time can afford a datukship, i bet i can too
