Which Game Made You GAME?

I'm sure everyone has their favorite game and personal preferences. But which game that made you purchase the console just for the game? and why?

lets share some thoughts here so we learn more bout different consoles, different games and most importantly, the ADDICTION of it

allow the humble me to kick off;

PS 1
no questions asked, definitely the gameplay of FF VII and FF VIII

PS 2
the naive me thought PS2 would work just like today's PS3 as i was told the gameplay graphics would look exactly like the CG. noob me so it was for the graphics than the games. but of cos, i had a great time with PS2 even to now. salute to PS2 !!!

PSP
the SRW series. it was my dream to watch my fav mecha fighting PORTABLY.

PS 3
should i say more? MGS 4 of cos. this game really exceeded my expectation ALOT.

Xbox360
got it for the next gen gaming experience. bought it much before my PS3. i'm not much of a FPS gamer so didnt get it for HALO or GOW etc. but i particularly like Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey, Assassin's Creed etc.

PSP Saved Game Error

I completed FF Crisis Core in my friend's phat PSP (call it PSP A) before i purchased my own PSP (call it PSP B) until last week. So, i transfered the saved game from PSP A to PSP B to enjoy the special features on my replay. Funny that when i load the game, it shows;

"Load failed. The data is corrupted"

any way to solve this? well, it'll be good to understand the causes even if i cant save it though, since i myself am PSP owner now

ps: i'm not too sure of this but some say FF has several versions, so the saved game files may not be compatible. FYI i transferred the entire FF game file from PSP A to PSP B, assuming it should work since the sources are the same, but sadly, it didnt

any idea?

"Your Disc is Unreadable"

good day,

my xbox 360 is only a year old and for the past 2 months i've been facing this problem that is rather irritating...

be it original games, or "others", my console tend to get HANG or showing a pop up msg during gameplay stating "Your Disc is Unreadable or Dirty"...well u know, its the Xbox's dashboard msg that slides out from the right of the screen if u get what i mean...

i've tried cleaning the disc tray with dry cloth, changing the games from the shop and all...but this problem persists still...funny that the msg even popped up on my first time playing my original GTA 4...sad...

for further info, my console was haunted by ROD once, and i've also changed the Display Chip once when i had no visuals showing on the screen...

wonder if any of u peeps had this problem before? appreciate if any of u could enlighten me abit on this matter...

Monitor Speakers Recommendations?

Hi, need some suggestions from you guys.

I got a Macbook, using it for arranging & composing, currently using GarageBand & Logic. And i got a Samsung R8 LCD TV for gaming.

Ok, this is what i would like to do. I'm planning to hook up my Macbook to my LCD, using it to write my music. Thus, a pair of monitor speakers are definitely necessary for song writing, isnt it?

But, i'm quite a hardcore gamer and i had purchased my LCD TV just for my XBOX360 and a PS3 in future. So i was wondering if i can have this set up, a LCD TV, a pair of speakers, XBOX & Macbook that serves duo purposes, home recording & gaming.

1) Can this set up be done? Am i missing something?

2) Which monitor speakers would u recommend? i looking for monitor speakers that produce decent sound for music recording, yet, capable to serve my gaming gratifications. However, music is definitely my priority.

i've been checking out some home theater system but heck, with all its prices, guess i could add up a little to get monitor speakers, which i personally think is more crucial, home recording > gaming

ps: i aint pro arranger, something decent will do and i'm looking for something below RM2k.
