Staying friends after rejection

After my friend broke up with her boyfriend, I start to fall in love with her. Occasionally she would give me mixed signals, so I decided to confess to know where I stand. She rejected me politely and clearly, saying we could still be friends but I should never fall for her as she only sees me as a friend.

I tried, hoping I can suppress my feelings back to how when she had a boyfriend. But every time we see each other, I fall for her again. I don't think I'm ready for platonic relationship with her just yet.

Should I cut all contact with her, until I'm 100% ready for a purely platonic relationship? And how to tell that I'm 100% ready?

If you know your first kid is already a lot to handle, why not stop at 1?

Friendzoned but go vacation together

So I'm aware this girl that I like only sees me as a friend, nothing more. But yesterday after dinner together, she brings up this idea of going vacation to some island in Malaysia just with the 2 of us.

That got me really excited, until I asked whether we should book 1 or 2 rooms, and she replied 2 (we are muslims). Luckily, she also said we will split the cost.

Since we will be splitting the cost, there's no harm in going right? Worst case I get to enjoy a vacation with an attractive girl while only paying for my shares. Best case she invite me to her room at night.

Update: She confirmed the trip will only be 2 of us, and it will be on her birthday.

Some of you might remember my previous thread, where my friend got a crush on single mom with autistic child.

In light of recent event related to Zayn (rip), some of you suspect the parents as the perpetrator, mainly to get rid of otherwise a lifelong "burden". While it's just a speculation for now, you guys certainly had a point.

So now my friend is wondering if it's even worth it to continue chasing this girl. If it's hard for the biological parents, it would be even harder if the kid is not his.

My friend got a crush on this pretty hot girl. But this girl already got a couple kids, one of whom is a special needs kid (non-verbal autism).

If you, would you marry the girl in this kind of situation? I guess both of you will have to take care of the special needs kid forever, am I wrong?
