Buying aircond, where to get good price

I'm in the market for a new air conditioner in Klang Valley. Looking to buy 1.5hp inverter air cond. China brand like Midea or Haier is suffiicent enough for me. I am planning to buy it on credit card installment but unfortunately Shopee only does CIMB, PBB and Maybank credit card which I don't have. So I guess I need to go retailers like OneLiving or Sen Heng to buy but I notice their price is quite steep. I wonder where else can accept credit card EPP with good price?

Rear ended by a car

So I was a victim of a hit and run accident yesterday. The damage was not that serious but reading the comments from all over malaysia internet, it seems that I would stand to lose my 55% NCD. But I am curious to know what would be the approximate cost to repair my car? See the photo below? My 55% NCD about RM550. My friend told me this would cost only around RM150. What do you guys think?

Got hit and run by an uninsured car. What to do?

Yesteday my parked car was hit by a car and the driver fled. I managed to capture the car plate number and proceed to file police report. And of course, the car wasn't insured (no surprise there). I know pretty much the consensus here is that you won't be left with much avenue if you got hit by an uninsured vehicle, but i read this one comment from a reddit user saying that if the IO can specify that it is not my fault then i will not lose my NCD. So has anyone gone through a similiar situation like me and managed to avoid NCD forfeit?

It seems way too foolish and counter intuitive if anyone can just hit you and make you lose your NCD. The NCD was there to encourage good behavior on the road but this kind of incident makes it seems that it is much more worthy to not just buy insurance. At least if you hit people you will get only few hundred ringgits of saman. Buying an insurance would already cost you in the thousands without any NCD. So what is really the logic here? It seems a lot better to not buy insurance rather than buying insurance but end up having to bear for other people's mistakes.

What is a good career for me?

My background is actually in construction as I graduated in quantity surveying and I've been thinking of making a career change. Construction industry (as big as it may be) sucks bad for me and really not my cup of tea. I actually kinda liked doing programming and have been learning bit by bit over the past 6 years. I'm no pro, still at beginner stage and this year I'm committing to learn Python well. For your guys opinion, what would be the best job for me to take if I managed to grasps the fundamentals of Python?

How much value is online courses in employment?

Of course nowadays you have many websites that offer online learning courses. Examples are udemy, lynda (linkedin learning) and there online courses being offered by reputable universities all over the world such the ones in edx and coursera. Some of the courses actually offers you a certification if you complete them (and pay them, of course). However, I really wonder does it ever have any value in the eyes of our employers here in Malaysia? How do you present these skills that you learned through online courses in your resume?

Perhaps some of you are unaware, recently the malaysian government had sponsored a few courses on coursera.org for unemployed malaysians. I'm one of them who managed to enroll and I've completed a course in basic python programming. I've been thinking of continuing in studying the courses. But I just wonder will it be worth it? Will it get me jobs? Or am I wasting my time? Have some of you known anyone who have been employed just for having skills learned through online courses??
