Hi.

I'm planning get a new com soon.

My main usage would be of course for gaming - ranging from few years back to next years' games and of course using some 3ds max, pro-e and after effects plus some programming. and of course, I would love for the com to last me for another 3 years aha~

Currently, my budget is at RM3000.

I have thought of about putting these components together :

CPU - AMD Phenom II 940 BE
RAM - Kingston DDRII 1066 4GB (high performance)
Graphic card - XFX GTX 275
Mobo - XFX NForce 750A LI
Casing - might get a centurion 5 (2nd hand)
PSU - some 550 true power

My budget excludes HD and monitor.

I've been reading bout comments on performance ram vs value ram. I'm not a harcore OC-er but I noticed that the price diff is only abt RM80 or so. Would it really be that worth it to save RM80?

What abt OCZ vs kingston vs any other brands? OCZ is about RM200 more expensive!

Advice anyone getting a laptop?

Hi there! My friend is currenlty looking for a laptop and has her eye on the Dell Inspiron 640m. I've checked out the specs and read a review on the laptop and it seems to be excellent since it's gonna be for some simple university use (no heavy graphics involved) and some entertainment -movies,blablabla.

However, it seems that my friend has heard that Dell is not really good - they use cheaper chips, hence the frequent crashing. Is that true? And maybe if anyone could suggest anotehr laptop of roughly the same budget(Rm2.6k) but offers a better package?

Also, I think it's better to get windows XP now since there may be some incompatibility with vista and Vista cannot be taken lightly(it caused some probs on my pc >_>).

Any comments would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance. =)

J3rmz
