(Actually, I wondered if I shud put this in Serious Kopitiam. Gonna put here for wider reach. )

If you think about the 19k cases, it's seems so unreal. Here we are, ramping up vaccinations, non-essential workers staying at home, kids staying indoors.

Yet cases are INCREASING. 19 fcking thousand.

Compare that to the reopening of economy last year in July-October, where got so many cases? No wonder some just want to Bukakedai. The lockdown doesn't work. (When a person like me, not worried much about covid cases, suddenly concerned, it means the increasing Covid cases is spreading fear. )

Our lives have gone abnormal for a year. No going out, no buying from shops, no income, people getting retrenched, families running out of money & food, schoolchildren can't go to school, etc. Social unrest will just increase, and protests have begun.

Might as well open up the entire economy. No use burning cash and livelihoods with some half-baked plan that is ineffective and detrimental to the people's welfare.
