I think I've learned tons of stuff with job hops, done couple of project, now start to manage a team. the stuff I know is niche, not much competition and easily get the job, I encourange you to forget about the traditional advice like 'I must stay at least 3 yrs'

hr question my 8 yrs exp and salary, he said 8 yrs should be in this xx salary, not sure is he trolling or what, since when did yrs of working Exp have to do with salary absolutely? hate this bullshit technique to low ball, no wonder many ppl underpaid, how to become high-income nation if attitude hr like this?

I doubt I should pursue this technical path because java isn't as shiny as it used to be, lots of PHP dev and node.js dev is taking over.. java for web development? except for spring boot nothing is relevant. do you feel insecure when you only know a small part? now backend has devops omg I wonder all those tech dudes never stop coming up with new tool, aren't they busy enough to churn out the solutions for businesses or they don't have a family to spend time with?

old programmer who refused to change

there's a dude who my HOD thinks he's good just because he have been working in the company for decades. in term of code standard, he's way behind, excuses me why the heck use jsp for static webpage? I'm trying to convince my HOD to stop patching the old stuff and we should revamp, coz it's hard to hire new people to work on that damn jsp. Is it normal that so-called senior programmer isn't as good as they seem but they're senior because of their age? the problem is their ego and they're been delusional about their old java tech stack, I'm pushing to adapt at least java spring and get our frontend to move to js framework, he argue that's a new and risky approach. How do you guys handle this situation especially in MNC?

bonus is like sweat candy, if the company want to value you means the salary will increase, other than baiting you by saying bonus will be more if company perform bla bla.. i got bullied no increment coz boss say bonus will be good this year, that's just pure bullshit man, why not increase my pay and give the bonus leh?

does bank only look at basic salary only when approving a loan? I know there are other factor like age, money in the bank, cc, ptptn etc but what if my company bonus is up to few months? does that count? but usually bonus isn't stated in payslip on a month to month basis or even stated in offer letter.
