USB Problem

I was wondering, my laptop only detects my USB modem in the USB port that i plugged it in and installed the software from...if i use other ports it detects and installs the driver, but i can't use it to go online because the software says "device not detected".

I need to know if there is any remedies to this problem, not really a big deal but it is inconvenient and annoying sometimes.

i need something like this to power my USB stick modem (E160E) because i am using a 5m extension cable and i think the power from only 1 USB port is not enough to run the modem properly, i can detect the the network but when i try to connect it either hangs, connects awhile then disconnects. Tried it on a 1.5m cable and it works fine with a single usb port power, but that one different place and i need the 5m cable.

i can only think of this as a solution, any better ideas anyone?

i also want to know whether they sell this in KK-Sabah..so far i havent seen it yet.

Is it possible to recover pictures from a flash drive after being full formatted,overwritten and quick formated multiple times?

my situation:

transfer pics from laptop to pendrive as i was going to format my laptop...forgot to transfer back to laptop...then used pendrive for other purposes and had gone through the abovesaid situations...that was more than a month ago...and i only realised recently i don;t have those pics in my lappy >_<

so is the data still there and recoverable or gone totally?

Well don't need much explanation over here because the title is kinda self-explanatory no?

Write down what do you like about your partner...be it a physical attribute...personality...quirks & habits...anything actually =)

well as for me...the thing i like about my partner is how her hair smells so nice no matter the time and place...and the way she reacts when she sees insects (she's afraid of them), it's kinda cute and funny at the same time hehe...but i think the part i like most is the contrast in her personality, she's actually a confident and independent girl, but when comes to things like bugs and height and a lil good old grime (dirt,dust etc) and babies!(oooh seeing cute babies anywhere will absolutely melt her<mommy instinct i think hehe>) she turns into a little baby girl..very very cute =)

actually there's a whole lot more to say but hey..just to give an idea to u all =)
