Why is MBT server empty? Been 3-4 nights already. I swear its like the place is being cursed la. They don't know its public ke?

Are they intentionally lonewolfing?

I have seen this many this times, and yet I have never thought about asking the lonewolfs themselves. So please enlighten me.

Why is it that when a game goes terribly one side, and my team being completely obliterated people from my side start to abandon squad play and be lonewolfs?

Is there some kind of strategy to lonewolfing that I am not aware of here?

Sorry. Its been like this alot lately, everytime join the server I end up with the losing side. And the losing is so bad, some times its like 100+ to 0 tickets. And there will be like 11 people not assigned to any squad. Only 3 people in squad.

Self explainatory. Pick your UAV dependency. My bet is that most people use the minimap often, just want to know to what degree.

And if you don't mind please state how long you've been playing the Battlefield series with overhead maps.

Additionally share your thoughts if you feel playing games with no overheadmaps kinda have different feel to it.

EA: roof camping is absolutely acceptible

A lot of people in MBT are discussing whether roof camping should be allowed in the future phase of Malaysian Comunity servers ( currently taking over by MBT). So I would like fellow battlefield 2142 players here to be aware of this since the venue of discussion is at their site and do require registration and await period for approval.

What ever the ruling, I will abide, regardless whether it will be active inforcement of the ruling or not.

Here is what my opinion regarding this & replying to mousey66.

But thats one unlock away. Pretty confident for a newbie to be sporting a beacon and squad leading don't you think?

EA allows it. On 1.41 patch fix.

- Further fix to prevent "pod surfing". Note that some pod movement will still be possible and is an intended gameplay mechanic to allow the player to have some small choice of landing site and to access rooftops

On the 9th points pertaining to fixes that will be adressed in Patch 1.4 are pod surfing exploits, EA the producer of 2142 clearly state that acess to roofs are by and large a part of the game. So to deny oneself of this feature of the game would be to limit ones enjoyment of the game.

I understand the desire to create an environment of equality in the server but we must adhere to the rules set by the game maker and producer as they have the best vision of what the experiences the game should offer.

If you think about it, new players can never be equal to people that have ranked and unlocks. These rank ups are made to differentiate between players and make unlocks and ranks have value. Forcing equality to fit new players only belittle the efforts older player put in for their unlocks.

Let us not make up rules at the expense of play experience shall we? Especially if its already legal within the game.

Yes you can make rules to extend and force equality for all. Force people to only spawn as soldiers, play knifes only or whatever. If there is consensus among the players of the server at that moment, fine. But to force it officially at a server level it not what was intend by EA. Last time I check knife servers are still illegal in EAs views as they are breaching the contract for ranked server in terms of rules & play experience.

Deepavali 2142: cannot login to EA

Can anyone try to login an Play 2142 on the 8th Nov last night and today morning? The only play I can get after wait for ages to the EA master server to connect is play as offline soldier. Also I tried going to ea sites, all seems to be down. The 2142 is up, but cannot go to the forum.
