hi all sifus, currently ayam is at a dilemma.

Ayam : 27 years old, civil & structural graduate, currently at at developer company, already tendered from current company due to toxic environment.

Received 2 offers as below:

Offer A
Company : Prestigious Developer Firm
Pay : 16 % hike from current pay
Working environment : Free & Easy, interview process was smooth & hiring manager seems to be very friendly (asked a few peers working in the field, all mentioned that he's a good leader)
Distance to office from home : 7 km
Benefits : Employee discount for property, educational benefit, basic dental & optical claims, outpatient & inpatient claims)
Remarks : Last year staff had 3 months bonus

Offer B
Company : Famous Solar Panel Contractor
Pay : 24 % hike from current pay
Working environment : Free & Easy, interview process was smooth & hiring manager seems to be very friendly . (female & married) (had to highlight this as i had experience with non-married superior, and it was hard to deal with)
Distance to office from home : 7.5 km
Benefits : Phone & meal allowances, dental & optical claims, mileage claims, in & out patient benefit.
Remarks : Might need to travel outstation for site visits as solar farms are usually outskirt. Mileage & meal allowances are available whenever outstation trips are required.

** both offers are doing project management.

What would be your advice if your younger self received these 2 offers?

Ayam's concern is that:

If take offer A, the pay might affect future salary progression.

If take offer B, too focused onto 1 field which is solar.

Car steering control upgrade

Hi all, I have a Perodua Ativa X variant, but want to add steering control for radio, any suggestion on how can I do it?

I was informed that we can buy the controls from perodua, and we find installer ourselves. (Not so sure on this as it’s only hearsay, and I will try to ask perodua) just want to get a second option here from yall if anyone did it before.

Haiyaaaa, want to buy new car, but don’t know which to choose between these 2 (yes I know they are from different segments haha) test driven both cars, love the drivers’ sight and driving feel of Ativa but the rear seat space macam abit small, love the feel and interior of persona exec but the FC / after service of proton worries me..

Debating between Ativa X spec and Proton Persona exec, which one to get?
(Mainly city drive, maybe once in a while go on cuti cuti malaysia only)

Hi all, after surveying awhile here and there and especially in Lowyat net 🤣 I have finally narrow down to a few options of vehicle with a budget of +- RM 40K

My scenario : use for city drive most of the time, maybe some weekend getaway with gf, Genting trip with family, interstate travel sometimes (less than 10 times per year).

currently eyeing on :
1. Bezza 1.3 manual (if new don’t have then 2nd hand will do)
2. Saga premium
3. 2nd hand persona premium (2019 onwards)

Which one will you recommend with the mentioned budget among the 3 and why if you don’t mind mentioning🥺🙏🏻

hi all, my situation:

came into close contact on friday night (4/2/2022), friend tested positive on saturday noon (5/2/2022), then submitted our names on sunday (6/2/2022), where then my mysejahtera app showed that my quarantine starts from 5/2/2022-9/2/2022, however on 10/2/2022, mysejahtera suddenly extended my HSO till next monday (14/2/2022).. anyone face this issue before? i tried contacting helpdesk but they are no help...

Email asking for interview result

Went to an interview last week (thursday), screwed up abit in the front part (interviewer demanded a self introduction which would amaze him, ayam terkejut and screwup abit, but eventually picked up and the interview process went on for around an hour+) In the end the HR and the HOD told me they will get back to me in 2 weeks regarding the result.

My question is, would it be rude if I email the HR and goreng abit, saying I got another offer but still interested in working for your company and wanna know what's the result (in a more formal and polite way of course)

Dear all, recently I'm planning to modify my bike.. Currently thinking on the handlebar.. Want to go for a cafe racer look.. But not sure which handlebar that I should choose.. Currently eyeing on the clubman handle bar, but I am afraid that the riding position would be uncomfortable.. Any sifus / experts can provide some ideas on which handlebar is close to the cafe racer look, but would not compromise on the comfortability? Many thanks!!!

Hi all, (not sure if it’s relevant to post here, but it’s related to working hours so yeah) want to ask, is today a public holiday for your office..? I’m asking this because:

1. for my current company, they are closed today (PH), but I’m joining a company soon, and they are open today..

2. I checked on google, mana today’s holiday isn’t stated on the list.. can anyone enlighten me why?

Hi all, this is my first time going into another company, and I would like to ask for your advice on this..

So I went to an interview last Sunday in a small startup company (6 years old company), and on Tuesday the boss offered me, i told him I’m interested, where he then proceeded to prepare the LOA on that same day.. however, I did not reply until Thursday because I’m still having second thoughts on the job offered, and I did informed him that I’ll revert the signed LOA by next week, then he sent me the following msg,

“I hope you can value this offer seriously, kindly sign the LOA and revert to me by tomorrow 5:30pm. We would like to see your prompt commitment in accepting this offer.”

Does this sound like the employer is kinda rushing to hire staff which sounds fishy? Or it’s just me?

Clarification: I have no intention of judging, just want to know opinions from others.. Thank you for your help and kind opinions!!

Resignation notice period

Dear all, would like to ask a noob question. Let’s say today I’m resigning, and to serve 1 month’s notice, my official last day should be 23/5. So my question is, in my resignation letter, should I write my last day as 23/5, or should I write the date where I deduct my unused AL? For example, let’s say I have 2 days of AL left, should I write my last day as 23/5 or 20/5? (For discussion purpose, let’s just assume that the dates mentioned are all working days)
