Muet speaking test 2020

To be honest, when I came out from the examination room, I was quite happy and I thought I did fairly well.

However, after I calm myself down from the excitement, particularly before I went to bed, I suddenly recall of what I did during the exam, and I remember the glance of the examiner, she seems to not understand what I mean. And my post-exam anxiety was compounded by the fact that I was left with 10 seconds in task 1.

I was aiming high, that's why I was extremely disappointed right now😢

Perhaps what I'm able to ameliorate right now is to study more for my 3 upcoming papers....

SEGi dentistry vs Taylor's food science

Hi, thanks for viewing this post! Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

I'm wondering should I go for dentistry or food science... If anyone seen my previous post, yup, I'm struggling again. But before that, let me just briefly explain why these two courses....

SEGi dentistry :
Pros : cheaper than other private institutes, facilities and environment of faculty is nice, uni is popular for this course, near to my house, love investigating teeth, work well with my hands
Cons : no scholarship provided (neither internal or external), 5 years study period, 360k overall fees = 6k per month

Taylor's food science :
Pros : uni is reputable, collaborate with multinational companies during intern, scholarship provided ( ori 95k - 45k = left with 50k), opt to take second major with the same price, lots of external scholarship provided too, 3 years study period, food manufacturing is essential HAHAH
Cons : just interested in QC/QA, a bit far from where I stay

So maybe y'all can give me some ideas regarding the prospect, the course outcome, the situation of fresh grad and any other info. And do correct me if I have any misconceptions towards both courses.

Thank you.

URGENT! Any Segi dentistry graduates here?

Hi, I just finished my pre-u, basically foundation in science at Segi University Kota Damansara branch. Im at the brink of making an important life decision so I would like to call for help.

Are there any graduates from Segi's dentistry course?
Are you facing unemployment or any difficulties upon graduation? As I know, dentist are quite saturated nowadays, and most of the famous dentist had either complete their studies in government uni (UM/UKM) or overseas (NUS/UK), will it be hard for segi students to compete with them? More and more dental course are being accredited but the government isn't controlling it.

I've complete my foundation in segi, I clearly know what are their standards. Just to clarify, lecturer did not give out tips but cheating among students were very common and nobody GAF about it, and this is why students in segi always scored well during their test. There were hardcore students too, but admittedly , most of them went there due to the free foundation offered, and many of them are leaving to another institute to continue their degree.

Again, since I've spent one year+ over there, I know and clearly understand the discrimination issues faced by segi students, regardless during school time or during workforce, saying the graduates are incompetent. I know, some must say it depends on yourself whether students want to work hard or not, but study environment is rather important. If a student can easily score well during their school time, they will expect from the society. But this is not it, the reality hits harder then the graduates think, there's a lot of seniors from other courses told me they regret a lot for choosing segi, as their cert is not recognised by many companies.

I've been to the faculty of dentistry, it can be said it is the best course offered by Segi. From what I've seen, students are quite hardworking?!! And the facilities are quite new and the environment is neat and tidy. But the discrimination issue is super critical, people often judge before they understand. Bros and sis in lowyat forum, from the bottom of your heart, would you pass your teeth and oral health to practioners form segi, I would aprreciate your replies .

I've always wanted to be a dentist (since that is one of my limited interest) until I realise it is not that easy to become a dentist, it requires time, lots and lots of time until a dentist become a successful one. 1or 2 years for foundation, 5 years for degree, 1 year compulsory service (not to mention how long graduates have to wait), 2 years of working experience in related field... Yet this is not the end, if a student did not specialise, they probably will just waste their effort since the only thing they can do is scaling, extraction and filling. (Specialisation requires 4 years, by that time I might be 35, The premise is that everything goes well HAHA)

For this year, I know a classmate with a cgpa of 2.9 is going for dentistry too, and she has received her offer letter recently . Not to be mean but I always thought in order to enrol a health science course, students must have a decent academic performance. We all understand university nowadays are just a huge factory of money makers, but this case actually made me losses more confidence on segi's education system...

365k is not a small amount and I'm not from a wealthy background, yet neither of my parents have connections.

Please, I need some advice. Each and every reply will be greatly appreciated!
