Boss cut our salary by 10% and promise 3-4 months bonus, should I leave? It's no brainer ppl would choose bonus, base is everything coz every month I'm guaranteed for a certain amount. Which celake companies give such candy to lowball employees with such gimmick?

I see the huge number of applicants to a job ad by big companies, I wonder is it necessary true working in big companies is rewarding. On the surface it looks good to our resume but in reality? Isn't it easier to become a cog (unless you're taking high role)?

I found hundred of ppl applied job as manager in maybank but salary below my expected salary. I check back my expected salary since few years back didn't login jobstreet, it was set at 10k. Why despite bank basic is low there are still hundred of applicants? If Petronas or shell I can understand because it's big brand,hmm..

Ppl might see annual leaves as benefit but I don't care about it coz my leaves are depends on my manager. If you have a manger who never scold you and he himself is also a kaki ponteng kerja then you'll have a good job haha.

Bank will rarely change their sop of doing things, you might heard bank ppl take min 4 months bonus but it's soul crashing. You will improve very slow because the sop is fixed and it's slow to change. I've voice my suggestion but so far I'm still confortable coz nothing much changed, management is full of uncle and auntie who will pack their stuff before working hour end.. How la a young fella like me to continue my journey in banking..

How to not be a code monkey

I see many code care too much how to code, I understand it's addictive to write clean code once you know what works, because now you are on the way to explore what can works better. But to me my technical skills doesn't make me senior it's knowing why I took certain approach and able to communicate to my colleagues that make me a leader.

Now im interested in product management as a coder, because almost every damn time the autonomy is on the hand of PM not engineering lead. I rather be head of product than pure technical line, anyway that's just my preference. Any course or cert that I should take to improve my PM skill as a coder? Now what I do is I do it without any reference, just act on common sense.

I interviewed at cimb on mid of last month, all went well, hr said preparing offer letter 2 weeks ago but now it's end of the month dy still waiting. Omg this one probably my longest wait for a simple offer letter. Last time I apply job within 2 weeks sign offer letter dy, is it because bank that's why slow?
