We're looking for a highly motivated and creative Research Analyst to help deliver engaging YouTube videos, social media content, and blog articles on news, economy, and finance. Role: Research Analyst / Co-host (full-time, permanent basis, office at Petaling Jaya)

Role:
Video Editor
- Edit and compile video footage, overlaying graphics, animations, and sound elements to craft videos that are both visually striking and informative, adhering to the distinct branding and style of our channel
- Ensure the final cut stands error-free, showcasing meticulous editing skills and a keen attention to detail
- Display versatility in editing a range of video styles from casual YouTube takes, interview videos, podcasts, cinematic captures, tutorial-style videos, to snappy short social media clips
- Able to film video on site and have a good video filming technique
- Able to handle project from conceptualization to final video production

Requirements:
- At least 1 year working experience in editing & producing videos of a similar nature, or demonstrable ability to deliver at a comparable standard
- Proficient in advanced video editing software, including but not limited to Final Cut Pro X, Adobe Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
- Moderate proficiency in the English language, as all content produced will be in English
- Open to and receptive of feedback, with an emphasis on continual product refinement
- Knowledge in Adobe After Effects or similar motion graphics tools is an added advantage
- Knowledge in handling a camera and photography is an added advantage
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to meet tight deadlines

Exabytes + Google Domains

Hi,

Allow me to ask some noob questions: Today I purchased a Google Domains name (paid the price) and also subscribed a WP12 Beginner hosting service on Exabytes.com

May I ask:
1. Do I need to transfer my domain from Google to Exabytes? If yes, I cant transfer within 60 days of purchase. Am I missing anything?
2. Do I need to wait transfer completion only then I can start building my Wordpress blog on Exabytes? I am a complete newbie when it comes to Exabytes/Wordpress toolkit, I cant seem to login my WP login.php because it can't detect the server.

Customer service is replying very slowly and not really helpful, would totally appreciate if anyone can help me out and show me some pointers here.

Sitting/Standing Desk

As per title (I hope I did not post it at the wrong thread), I'm currently in the market looking for a sit/standing motorised desk, with a budget of RM 2k.

Checked IKEA Bekant but the colour not what I wanted (I wanted the oakwood/ironwood kinda colour).

I also looked at EVIS, but not sure how good it is considering most of the youtube reviews are either sponsored or affiliated.

Durability is also something in mind, I would like the desk to last at least 5 years (with 5 years warranty?) before my next upgrade.

Best Local Broker in Malaysia

Hello dear LYN Stock Exchange forumers!

I'm on a mission to compile data from the forumers here to help beginner investors in Malaysia to choose the "best" local broker as per everyone's recommendation.

The result of this data will be useful for:-
(1) Any forumers/beginners entering this sub-section to look for recommendation on the best local broker in Malaysia
(2) To be made into a YouTube Video to be the "1-stop" video that every starters can benefit from when it comes to assisting their choice of brokers (will be shared here, will try to include shoutouts/credits where due)

Honestly, it is quite overwhelming for many starters when it comes to choosing brokers to get themselves started in investing.
So, I thought, why not create a "1-stop" video that will help consolidate everyone's opinions on the broker that they use, and what are their thoughts etc. because this will be super beneficial to everyone.

I fully understand that information is in abundance everywhere on the internet, and that everyone's perspective will be different when it comes to preference and investing goals, so I will try to set a few constant variable which hopefully will make things easier for beginners to understand.

Constant variables are as follow:-
(1) Must be a local broker licensed by Securities Commission (SC) Malaysia
(2) Mainly buy/sell Malaysian stocks, overseas investing is optional (i believe IBKR can do a better job here)

3) Brokerage Fee: 0.10% or RM 8 per transaction, whichever higher
4) Comments on Trading Platform/App/Website: Solid user interface for the MaybankTrade app, trades are smooth and rarely hang in my past 1 year using it.
5) Why choose this broker: Widely recommended from online articles, sense of security with the availability of physical bank branches
6) Frequency of Trade: Very low as I'm a long-term investor, usually buy like once per month but that's about it
7) Additional remarks: Solid app and highly recommended for any beginners to start with. Very useful when it comes to integration with Maybank2U account (savings, credit card, bills, trading account etc.). However global trading platform is on the more expensive side.

Hi serious /k,

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this here. I would like to share with you my YouTube channel that I've started about 2 months ago to guide people who are keen to invest in Malaysian stocks to start and the know-hows.

In real life, I'm a financial modeller (dealing with project finance generally) which exposes me to the financial knowledge on a daily basis. As an engineering graduate myself, this is an eye-opener and I think everyone (regardless of background) should have access to financial knowledge, hence why Im making these video to share them.

My videos cite my own personal experience as well as the things I've learnt in the past year of investing in stocks.

It will be very helpful if you guys can click into the video (maybe Subscribe?) if you are interested in stocks // or just interested to witness my growth journey in video-making as well as wealth growing.

Soundproof Curtains in KL

Hi,

As the title depicts, im looking for a soundproof curtain within KL/Klang Valley that wont break my budget (within RM 100?) for a width of 3 piece sliding glass door (balcony size).

Im trying to reduce noise from nearby highway and LRT as you can guess, I live directly beside them (newly shifted in condo) and it is a pain to film my YouTube videos with those noises.

I've tried searching on Shopee but the only one only has 3 rating with no review about its soundproofing quality.

Help with Noise Cancelling Microphone

Hi,

As the title depicts, I've recently moved into a new condo room which is right beside a LRT and highway (as you can imagine, plenty of noise).

The reason why im writing this is because I need help to fix this problem to film my YouTube video without much interference.

Current setup is Boya BY-M1 mic + Canon EOS M50.

A few solution that I've discovered:
1. Reducing background noise in Final Cut Pro X (but this will resulting the audio becoming wobbly)
2. Reducing the Audio level (-20 30 dB) on my Canon EOS M50 but my voice ended up too soft
3. Even with my balcony sliding door closed (there are noises sipping through the "cracks"). Not sure if stuffing more clothes help?
4. Buy a new mic - Shot gun mic? I've read they only pick up voices in a particular axis, so "noise" which comes in various axis doesnt get picked up quite much. Considering Rode VideoMicro.
5. Audacity software noise reduction - Never tried, could end up having result like No.1 (but i wouldnt want to do this every time i film 40-50 clips weekly)

Note: I've yet to post new video filmed in this new room. All videos in my youtube channel currently are from my previous condo room.

All in all I'm at a roadblock and would love to seek your kind opinion to fixing this issue.
