SUAMI ISTERI LAWAN KAPITALIS HAP SENG STAR

Petang tadi lebih kurang jam 2:30 petang, pasangan suami isteri, saudara Ng dan saudari Tan telah mengadakan sidang media di SCRUT AUTO di Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

Kisahnya bermula begini, Puan Tan telah membeli sebuah kereta baru GLC Coupe 300 SUV pada Mei 2022. Dia telah terlibat dengan kemalangan sekitar November 2022 mengakibatkan bahagian depan kanan keretanya rosak.

Keretanya telah dibawa ke Hap Seng Star (HSS) untuk diperbaiki. Selepas 1 bulan digunakan setelah dibaiki, kereta tersebut dirasakan terdapat masalah mekanikal. Banyak bunyi-bunyi pelik. Dia telah bawa ke Cycle & Carriage Bintang (CCB) untuk diperiksa.

Puan Tan telah email Mercedes Benz Malaysia (MBM) tetapi permintaannya untuk MBM sendiri melakukan pemeriksaan ditolak dan disuruh pemeriksaan dibuat oleh HSS. Puan Tan telah ditunjukkan ketidaksamaan alat ganti ketika di CCB. Mungkin itulah punca dia mengejar MBM.

Puan Tan sekali lagi memanggil MBM, CCB, HSS dan wakil pihaknya untuk bersama-sama buat pemeriksaan. Dia mencadangkan ia dijalankan di CCB. Tetapi MBM menolak. MBM mahu ia dijalankan di HSS.

Malangnya HSS tidak membenarkan wakil Puan Tan (seorang mekanik profesional berpengalaman lebih 10 tahun) untuk menjalankan pemeriksaan mewakilinya. Kecewa dengan keadaan tersebut, pihak Puan Tan telah menghubungi SCRUT AUTO untuk pihak kami menjalankan pemeriksaan Sii (SCRUT integrity inspection).

Nota : Yelah, Puan Tan dan suami bukan mekanik mahupun jurutera kan?

Kereta tersebut dibawa ke SCRUT AUTO, pemeriksa kami (inspector) telah menjalankan pemeriksaan Sii seperti biasa dan mendapati berapa alat ganti tidak menggunakan alat ganti tulen (original) Mercedes. Tidak sangka hal tersebut membuatkan Puan Tan dan suaminya benar-benar marah. Mungkin setelah beberapa siri negosiasi (perbincangan) mereka yang telah gagal barangkali.

Mungkin kerana rasa ditindas dan tertipu, pasangan suami isteri ini telah melantik peguam untuk mengambil tindakan undang-undang. Tujuannya membuat sidang media adalah untuk memberi kesedaran kepada masyarakat untuk bangkit melawan kapitalis jika ditindas.

Kenapa sidang media buat di SCRUT AUTO?

Pihak kami dihubungi oleh pihak Puan Tan yang mereka nak mengadakan sidang media di SCRUT AUTO. Takkanlah kami nak menolak permintaan pasangan marhaen yang mahu bangkit melawan kapitalis besar HSS. Sudah pasti kami tiada masalah. Mungkin mereka rasa aura kami melawan kapitalis jahat bersama-sama mereka, dekat dengan jiwa mereka.

Pihak SCRUT telah memberi komitmen dan komited untuk mempertahankan laporan pemeriksaan kami di mana-mana mahkamah. SCRUT sebagai entiti bebas tiada masalah untuk memberi pandangan berdasarkan ilmu, pengetahuan dan pengalaman. Lagipun telah beberapa kali pemeriksa kami dipanggil untuk membantu mahkamah.

Jika SCRUT disepina, kami akan hadir. Tidak lari dan tidak berganjak. Rujuk balik kenyataan media mereka di bawah. Nanti video-video lain dinaikkan untuk semua pihak menilai.

Mandatory e-invoice countdown starts

CYBERJAYA: In just one week, the one-year countdown begins in earnest for all businesses in the country to switch to the mandatory electronic invoicing (e-invoicing) rule.

Ahead of its full rollout on July 1, 2025, the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) will be officially launching a free software on June 1 to help businesses, both big and small, ease into the system.

LHDN chief executive officer Datuk Abu Tariq Jamaluddin (pic) said businesses could actually already use e-invoicing when the software was made available for free on May 15.

“The free programme will be officially launched on June 1. More than 60 pilot companies and service providers have committed to issuing e-invoices in a production environment by June 30 this year through the MyInvois integration,” Abu Tariq told The Star in a recent interview.

He added that on Aug 1, the first phase of the project will begin with about 5,000 companies, which record annual earnings of RM100mil and above, adopting the use of e-invoices.

The second phase will begin on Jan 1 next year for companies with annual earnings of between RM25mil and RM100mil.

“The final phase is for all businesses or enterprises offering sales or services to come on board with e-invoicing by July 1 next year,” he added.

The gradual move by LHDN, Abu Tariq said, would help in the seamless transition to e-invoicing, while benefiting taxpayers and the board.

“It will also help stem billions in losses due to the shadow economy and is in line with the nation’s digitisation goals by 2030,” he added.

It was previously reported that the nation lost about RM70bil in tax revenue last year due to illegal activities and tax evasion.

Although a recent survey by LHDN showed about 98% of businesses accepting e-invoicing, Abu Tariq acknowledged that there was pushback from certain quarters, particularly small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and hawkers.

Among their concerns was the fine of between RM200 to RM20,000 for each breach of the e-invoicing regulations, he added.

He explained that companies earning less than RM100mil annually need not use e-invoicing this Aug 1 because they do not fall within the category.

“In general, at the initial stage of implementation, there is no need for taxpayers to get an e-invoice as proof of expenditure,” LHDN had said in response to a recent viral post by Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president had questioned the manner in which e-invoicing was being “forced upon businesses, particularly petty traders and hawkers”.

Dr Wee, who is the Ayer Hitam MP, also questioned why businesses had to submit 55 data entry points under the system and whether their data was safe from hackers.

LHDN has since clarified that only six out of the 55 data entry points need to be filled up to complete the e-invoice for automatic appraisals.

Abu Tariq explained that e-invoicing can be filed once a month as a “consolidated invoice.”

The consolidated invoice, he said, represents monthly overall sales and services transactions instead of daily individual entries for each sale.

“This will make compliance easier for micro-businesses because they only need to submit their consolidated invoice once a month.”

However, he noted that consumers or buyers have the legal right to demand e-invoicing receipts once the system is fully implemented on July 1 next year.

“Action can be taken against the seller for failing to do so,” he said.

To allay worries, he said LHDN will deal with non-compliance on a case-by-case basis.

Other criticisms cited as impeding the use of the online filing system were the expected rise in operating cost, lack of mobile phone subsidy or aid, and poor signal coverage in rural areas.

Abu Tariq said LHDN is currently in talks with online platform providers providing cashless payment facilities on how best to capture sales transactions through their scanning or QR code systems.

With one year to go before e-invoicing is fully enforced, he said there is ample time for adjustments and improvements.

He also encouraged SMEs, petty traders and hawkers to start using the free e-invoicing software to familiarise themselves with the system and get their books in order by July 1 next year.

To humbly clarify from my end after reading Chery's official statement:

Chery Malaysia HAS NOT PERSONALLY COMMUNICATED WITH ME TO RESOLVE THE AXLE ISSUE.

=====

1. I sent in my car for investigation, with the hope Chery can quickly pinpoint the cause of a potentially fatal defect and quickly resolve it for the sake of other road users.

2. Chery instead fixed my car WITHOUT my consent and announced that it was ready to pickup in less than a day.

3. Regarding my car, I received:
- NO updates on the axle issue
- NO photos
- NO explanation
- NO report
I only received a message saying it's ready to be collected, and that's it.

4. After following up with them for the report, Chery finally told me that they will release a public statement instead.

5. I requested to for them to share it to me first but was turned down. (Photo #3)

6. Chery promised to keep me posted, and that was the LAST response I received before finding out about the official statement through a third party. (Photo #4)

7. As of 11.54pm, I still have NOT received:
- Any report on what happened to my car
- A simple courtesy message letting me know that they have released the statement
- Any response whatsoever since saying that "they'll keep me posted"

8. This report was the ONLY thing I have asked of Chery thus far, and they cannot even deliver this.

9. I am extremely disappointed in such a misleading statement implying the issue has been resolved, and believe that I have been more than patient / understanding in a situation where Chery's negligence and lack of QC not only endangered the lives of my loved ones and myself, but also the lives of innocent road users.

10. Recalling the car after finding a major, life-threatening defect is the BARE minimum to do as a car manufacturer. It is disingenuous and contradictory to state that my issue was an "isolated case" and immediately follow it up with a 600-unit recall and then claim that "no other units were affected".

11. I hope Chery will be responsible to individual consumers and properly communicate with me regarding my the report for my car and the next steps to be taken.

12. I have always preferred communicating privately and have done so ever since I released the initial post - I have refuted ALL media and interviews since the incident in hopes that we can deal with it internally.

However, if Chery decides that making public statements and ghosting me is their preferred method of communication, I have no choice but to reach out via social media in hopes for a response as well.

Hoping to hear a professional response + direct communication from Chery soon. Thank you.

BATANG KALI: The body of a girl was found at the landslide site of the Father’s Organic Farm campsite in Gohtong Jaya at 11.15pm Tuesday (Dec 20), taking the death toll to 25.

Hulu Selangor district police chief Supt Suffian Abdullah confirmed having found the body of the girl, believed to be between five and seven years old.

The girl’s body has been sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.

"I can confirm that the body of a girl has been found,” he said briefly to Bernama.

Supt Suffian said further details regarding the discovery of the girl’s body would be made at a press conference tomorrow morning (Dec 21).

According to him, the fifth day of the search and rescue (SAR) operations were suspended at midnight, and will continue at 8am tomorrow.

The landslide occurred at 2.42am on Friday (Dec 16). A total of 61 people survived while eight more are still missing. - Bernama
