Can you differentiate between PRC/India/Indonesia

Can you guys differentiate between local Chinese & PRC, local Indian & India Indians, Bumis & Indonesian, without hearing them talk?

For Chinese we can identify them without even hearing them speak, the way they speak Mandarine & English is a dead giveaway but we can tell by looking.

But i never manage to differentiate between local Indian & India Indians, and for Indonesian, usually their smaller stature is the hint but when you go to East Malaysia alot of orang asli there also smaller stature so i can't tell if they are bumi or indonesian.

I guess for local Indians they too can tell whether a person is local indian or india indian by looking, but confused with others?

many non-chinese here probably can't differentiate between local chinese & koreans.

so, what's the visual hint to differentiate?

Full HD on handphone a waste

even the lowest end phone now have 1080p screen, higher end even more than 1080p, but how many actually watch HD content on mobile phone?

even youtube most video up to 720p.

and with malaysia mobile internet, i doubt you can view 1080p smoothly and if you using home unify might as well use a pc or tv.

on the other hand most notebooks in the market now still not having 1080p screen. notebook screens are bigger thus pixel are bigger so it should be cheaper to make 1080p screen (fyi my 5 year old laptop has 1080p screen).

most people watch HD movies on PC & Notebook but why 1080p is still not standard for notebook (and many PC monitors)?

my rm260 handphone with 1080p screen, i have yet watch 1080p video on it. and i don't think surfing internet makes much difference 1080p.

YY number plate series available

There seems to be a new number plate series coming about just about every week now – another one has inevitably appeared, and this one is called YY. As is the case with special number plates, the YY plate series will be available for purchase through a bidding process.

The series – numbered from YY 1 to YY 9999 – opened for bidding on March 15 and will end on April 6, with successful bids being announced on April 30. Unlike the UU plate, which is available on an open basis with no minimum tender price, the YY plates do have etablished baseline prices. Minimum bid pricing for ordinary numbers (example, 1389, 3569) is RM300, while that for special ordinary (er, yes, that is the term) numbers such as 2268 and 9962 is RM1,000.

Bidding prices start at RM2,000 for gold quadruple numbers (2228, 3336, 6999), while special quadruple numbers (2266, 9898) go for RM3,000 on. Triple digit numbers start from RM3,000, while that for special triple numbers (335, 565, 898) is RM6,000.

The YY series follows on the UU series plate that was announced last week. Other special number plate series that have come about include GTR, GG, SAM, K1M, T1M, A1M, US, SMS, NBOS, NAAM, VIP, G, GT, U, Y, PERFECT and PATRIOT. What next, then?

Other than Waze and Nintendo handheld got apps that allow users to communicate with other random users within the same vincinity based on location services?

I think it can be a good app for users to warn others about incidents in the vincinity. Like lost child, handphone, fire, or terrorist. Or just spam random msg until the user need to leave the area to stop receive spam.

DBKL should do something with Jln Tun Sambathan

Nothing racist but seriously DBKL & PDRM should really do something with the illegal triple parking on that road.

4 Lanes only 1 lane is clear, and i had to switch lanes 4-5 times at that stretch because every few meters got parked cars blocking different lanes.

It's Saturday and used up 20 minutes to pass the area.

I'm not sure it's really no parking lots or some folks are just inconsiderate.

Worse than Old Klang Road.

That road so many public bus use and everytime gets jammed how many man hours wasted for folks taking buses just because of these cards. DBKL only got balls to fine & tow cars parked near Brickfields.

I know they worry kena bash when they tow & clamp & fine cars there. that area under BN right?

Is sealer (primer) same as normal paint. or more expensive?

what are the common white primer used.

not talking about Sealer+Paint combo like Maxilite. Those don't seal as good as sealers.

Also any point using sealer if did not scrap off paint? coz sealer will help new paint stick but still sealer sticks on existing paint layer. or will the sealer sip into the existing paint?

Is it law that Malaysian males are required to kiss Royalty's hand when greeting them? or is it done out of RESPECT?

Did Tun ever kissed Royalty's hand like most politicians we see nowadays?

I mean it's 2018 no offense but i find such gesture abit dated?

I know for fellow muslim it's prolly a normal gesture since they kiss hand out of respect especially when greeting older people. But for Non-Bumi i think it's not a common gesture. We do bow down and shake hands to show respect but to kiss someone's hand is something different. However it's normal for people to kiss another person on their feet, but usually not hands.

Kia Sorento actually looks nice

So for 2 days straight saw this Black Kia Sorento with Putrajaya badge on same road same time.

Even though it's launched 2016, 1st time see. No idea what car as the Badge initially looked like a Perodua (though it was new Kembara), the though might be a Toyota since badge abit like Wish, must be some special car as Toyota usually give special badge to special cars.

Then try to see the front though it's a Tesla but google shows Tesla not yet sell SUVs.

Though it's a grey import.

We should respect people driving expensive cars

Most /k probably disagree. Most of you prolly butthurt when see other people treat folks driving expensive cars nicer often give them hi, morning sir, hand gesture and polite face to them while giving you a no fucuk face when they see you poorfags.

but, i think they are doing the right thing.

you see, treating rich people nicer, is not always involve the hope they can get advantage like bigger tips, promotion etc.

rich people work hard and strive to achieve and their sweat and blood usually goes unseen, all people see is their glamor, however, lower wage people will understand this because most of these folks has been working hard but never earning alot, and they see these successful people they are impressed & at the same time inspired by them. so they look up to them. which i think rich people deserves this treatment.

so next time when you see other people being really nice to people driving expensive cars please don't look down on them like dogs licking boots. people like you will never understand nor you appreciate the work these rich people put in and their contribution to society & country.

you want more respect? want people to treat you better? you must earn it. work harder towards success.

Toyota to take over Perodua

1st Proton sold to China.

now Perodua on the verge take over by Japan.

UMW Holdings has announced that it has made two separate share purchase offers in a deal that will eventually see it increasing its stake in Perodua to 70.6%, The Star reports. It currently has a 38% stake in the second national car manufacturer.

The first part of the deal is the purchase of a 50.07% stake in auto parts company MBM Resources from Med-Bumikar Mara for RM501 million. The acquisition of this will trigger a mandatory offer for the rest of the shares in MBM Resources, which currently owns a 22.58% stake in Perodua.

The planned takeover of MBM Resources – which is involved in the manufacture of automotive parts/products and also the distribution and dealership of brands such as Perodua, Daihatsu, Hino, Mitsubishi, Volkswagen and Volvo in the country – will raise UMW’s effective interest in Perodua to 60.6%.

The second offer is to buy a 10% stake in Perodua from Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) for RM417.5 million in a cash-and-new shares deal. The completion of these deals will see UMW raising its stake in Perodua to 70.6%.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia, UMW said the move will allow it to increase its strategic stake in Perodua as well as expand its exposure in the commercial vehicle segment through MBM Resources’ network. “The proposed acquisitions are consistent with the company’s strategy to enhance its core businesses in the automotive, equipment and manufacturing and engineering segments,” it said.

“It will allow the company to further improve its prospects in the automotive segment via leveraging on Perodua’s strength in the national car segment, coupled with the company’s existing presence in the non-national car segment via the Toyota marque,” it added.

https://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...-mbm-resources/

PNB is UMW's papa, so papa will sell 10% to UMW.
