Nerve damage after wisdom tooth extraction surgery

Hi all.

I would like to get your opinion on this. I just had my lower right wisdom tooth removed last week. This was my second wisdom tooth extraction but this time my dentist had to do minor surgery.

The problem is I feel numbness on my lips and teeth. I cannot feel anything (not feeling any hot, cold, pinch, pain) even after a week of operation. I just went to see my dentist at hosp serdang today to remove the stitches after a week. She said nothing can be done other than need to wait for the nerve to recover if it's damage. The nerves could be moderately or severely damaged. Only time will determine.

I would like to ask your serious and professional opinion if any of you have experience this and what can be done to recover, if it is even possible. Thank you guyss.
