Hi guys,

Just saw that TIME Broadband is offering this so-called "LOYALTY PROGRAM" to current users of 100mbps that are no longer bound by contract.

The most interesting package is +RM20 very month to get 500mbps line and 2x WIFI 6 devices (1x router + 1x node), of course will require us to reset our contract for 2 years.

This seems like a good deal. I know Fahmi Fadzil mentioned that all broadband will have price cut coming soon (his coming soon is awfully long). But 500mbps for RM119 per month and 2x free WIFI 6 devices seems like a good deal. I just dont think there could be a much better deal even after Fahmi's price cut plan.

What do you guys think?

Story of a police roadblock last night

So, last night I went to kuchai lama to meet a cousin at a mamak store just to lepak before his flight back to Seoul later of the week. I had black pepper lamb chop and teh o ais, and not even a drop of alcohol for the whole day. In fact, i haven't had a single drop of alcohol for months, as im just a social drinker and no social events lately. Drove back alone after that about 12am and was going through roadblock. Background info: I'm a chinese male in my mid 30s, no tattoos or hair highlights, was a healthcare professional but took up a office kuli job after that.

Me: Ohh roadblock. Okay biasa lah, end of the year and post-christmas, just to catch those mofo drunkards, understandable.

*waited a few minutes in queue till it's my turn. Saw that a few cars already been asked to pull over to the side*

I Policeman: Selamat malam encik. Dari mana ke mana? *while pushing his head close to me and trying to sniff the smell of my car*

Me: *Explained where i was and to where. Biasa lah, i know the police is trying to sniff for alcohol smell, they are just doing their job*

I Policeman: Encik, sila tunjuk lesen dan IC.

I Policeman: *After screening my docs* Encik, sila berhenti di tepi. *signaled to another officer and shouted tolong check*

Me: ohh okay....*proceed to stop at the curbside*

*One m-raced policeman walked over to my car*

M Policeman: Selamat malam encik, tolong tiup ke dalam tiub ini *removed a white tube from a sealed plastic cover and inserted to a machine*

Me: *Ohh this a breathalyzer. First time to be asked to do this after almost 20 years of driving. At least i know he's using a new blowing tube haha* Boleh encik.

*just followed the policeman's instruction on blowing to the tube*

M Policeman: *looked at the device and put it away quickly to make sure i didnt see the screen* ehh, encik tak minum keh? ada reading nih.

Me: Tak, saya tak minum langsung. Makan lamb chop saja tadi dan minum teh o ais.

M Policeman: Ohh mungkin encik tak minum, tapi dalam makanan tu mungkin ada alkohol. sebab tu ada reading 40 lebih nih. limit 22 saja. pagi tadi pun ada kes macam ini, orang tu tak minum tapi makanan dia ada alkohol. memang akan ada kes macam nih. Encik sila tutupkan kereta dan turun.

Me: *LOL RM19 punya mamak lamb chop got alkohol?? He thought i makan gordon ramsay's lamb chop is it?!!* Okay boleh encik, saya turun.

M Policeman: Encik kerja apa.....Isteri kerja apa....

Me: Told him briefly about it.

*Walked to a police car and he took out a deck of printed slides to show to me*

M Policeman: Ohh so encik tau lah kan, limit alkohol ialah 22 saja. Reading encik dah lalu *while still smiling to me*

*Then he guided me to walk further away from other cars*

M Policeman: So, encik, saya nak bantu. saya tau encik tak minum, macam mana boleh saya bantu *grinning to me*

Me: Ohh saya memang tak minum pun. Encik boleh test sekali lagi?

M Policeman: Tak boleh encik. Prosedur kami boleh tiup sekali saja. Kali kedua mesti test di balai. Test di balai tu yang paling tepat. Tapi tu lah, kita kena pergi balai. Balai jauh dari sini. Macam mana saya boleh bantu, encik *still grinning to me*

Me: Ohh tak apa encik. Kita pergi balai saja lah. Sebab saya ada lesen professional, tak boleh buat benda yang bukan-bukan. *hint hint* Nanti apa-apa terjadi, lesen bekerja digantung pulak.

*M Policeman then walked back towards my car*

M Policeman: Macam ini lah encik, sebab reading you masih bawah 50, so saya boleh tolong lagi. Kali ini saya bagi lalu saja ya. You tau lah kan, tugas kami untuk tangkap orang mabuk saja.

*M Policeman returned my IC and Lesen and FIST BUMPED me. Yes, FIST BUMPED, as though we were some brothers*

*I drove back peacefully*

TLDR:
I didnt drink alcohol. Driving at 12am, stopped by police. Police tested my breath and insisted got alcohol. Said the alcohol may come from my food and kept grinning to me. He said there may be a need to go to far-away balai to settle this. I stood my ground. He first bumped me and then let me go.

Lessons to learn:

1) Always stand your ground if you are at the right side.

2) Dont give in to threat easily. the duit kopi may not be much, but if you want a cleaner malaysia, please do your part.

3) Whoever does indeed drink and drive, please go 14th floor at deserted building. You are a hazard to society.

4) Dont shake hands, please fist bump.

All through the years i've received a lot of good info and bargain from /k, thought this time i shall give back and share this goodie with /k!

For those that used to have account with Paypal Malaysia, search your inbox for an email from Paypal Malaysia with the title of "Claim your RM20 reward today". Please make sure that the sender is paypal@mail.paypal.com and not from any scammer!

I know the email sounds fishy (wtf were the Marketing guys in Paypal thinking!), but it's a legit email. They are giving out RM20 for some of the selected accounts! Both my main email and secondary email received the link and I managed to get RM20 x 2.

How to use that RM20 credit?? I linked my paypal account to Grab and made an order as close as possible to RM20 (consider to make pickup order with pickup10 code to further pull the credit). I removed the paypal account after using the RM20 credit - too many phishing/scamming cases associated with Paypal, not worth the risk having it.

I know it's just RM20, but hey free money man! Happy spending! And dont get scammed!!

Unifi Ownership Transfer - left 2 months contract

As per subject, I would like to transfer my current subscription of unifi 100mbps. My contract is only up till 1-November-2021, so effectively only 1.5 months left, good for those moving to new house with 1 year tenancy agreement.

Minister: Putrajaya distributing face masks

KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 — Putrajaya is distributing face masks to Malaysians nationwide, Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.

During a press conference in Putrajaya, Ismail Sabri — who is also defence minister — reminded Malaysians that the masks were only necessary when they have flu-like symptoms, in accordance to the Health Ministry’s guidelines.

“As announced by the government, that the government will distribute for free four face masks to each household nationwide, and as recommended by MoH, only those who have symptoms must wear face masks,” he said.

He said the 24.62 million face masks were transported to the states by the Armed Forces, for redistribution by the National Security Council at the district level.

Ismail Sabri said that the masks would be sent by the Air Force to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan on Friday.

In the peninsula, the masks have already reached the districts and frontline workers will go door-to-door to send these out.

Ismail Sabri stressed that the masks were specifically bought by the government for public distribution, and were not part of public donations.

Last month, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin announced that the government would purchase and distribute face masks to all Malaysians for free, in a bid to mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Polis dan nelayan didenda RM1,000 ingkar PKP

MANJUNG: Dua lelaki termasuk seorang anggota polis didenda RM1,000 atau tiga bulan penjara oleh Mahkamah Majistret Seri Manjung, pada Rabu selepas mengaku bersalah atas tuduhan melanggar Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP), Isnin lalu.

Tertuduh, Koperal Mohamad Safarrudin Alias, 33 tahun, dan nelayan, Nashrull Awang, 43 tahun, membuat pengakuan itu selepas pertuduhan dibacakan secara berasingan terhadap mereka di hadapan Majistret Nur Shaqira Ibrahim.
Mengikut pertuduhan, kedua-dua tertuduh masing-masing didapati bergerak dari satu tempat yang lain, iaitu dari Berek Polis Balai Kampung Rapat, Ipoh dan 178-B Lorong Bahagia Kampung Serdang, Sitiawan ke suatu tempat yang lain, iaitu di Jalan Besar Lumut Kiri, Sitiawan, yang merupakan lokasi jangkitan COVID-19.

Mereka didakwa melakukan suatu kesalahan di bawah Peraturan 3(1), Peraturan-Peraturan Pencegahan dan Pengawalan Penyakit Berjangkit (Langkah-langkah di dalam kawasan tempatan jangkitan) 2020 yang memperuntukkan hukuman penjara maksimum enam bulan atau denda sehingga RM1,000 atau kedua-duanya sekali.
Kedua-dua mereka didakwa melakukan perbuatan itu di Jalan Besar Lumut Kiri, Sitiawan, jam 4.15 pagi, 23 Mac lalu.

Di mahkamah sama, Mohamad Safarrudin turut didakwa memiliki peralatan pecah rumah seperti pengikis, pemotong besi, kuku kambing, playar ragum dan pisau serbaguna dalam beg sandang yang digalasnya di lokasi, masa dan tarikh yang sama.

Bagi pertuduhan itu, dia dituduh mengikut Seksyen 28 (i) Akta Kesalahan-kesalahan Kecil 1955 yang jika sabit kesalahan boleh dihukum denda maksimum RM250 atau penjara maksimum enam bulan atau kedua-duanya sekali.

Bagi kesalahan berkenaan, tertuduh didenda RM250 atau penjara seminggu sekiranya gagal membayar denda.

Sementara itu, Nashrull pula turut didakwa memiliki sarang burung walit dengan berat anggaran 415 gram di lokasi, masa dan tarikh yang sama.

Tertuduh didakwa mengikut Seksyen 28(1) Akta Kesalahan-Kesalahan Kecil 1955 yang boleh dihukum denda maksimum RM1,000 atau penjara maksimum setahun atau kedua-duanya sekali.

Dia didenda RM600 atau penjara sebulan sekiranya gagal bayar denda bagi pertuduhan itu.

Pendakwaan dikendalikan oleh Timbalan Pendakwa Raya, Fatin Farahiyah Nadzri manakala kedua-dua tertuduh tidak diwakili peguam.

[WTA] RHB Housing Loan

Hi guys,

I noticed there's some abnormal charges on my housing loan with RHB bank for month of May 2019.

In months prior to May 2019 (April 2019 , March 2019 so forth), i was usually charged about RM2767 monthly for my housing loan. But in May 2019, i was charged RM2804. Then in June 2019, i was charged RM2712.

I understand that Bank Negara announced reduction on OPR in May 2019, thus there should be a reduction in the monthly payment. But my question is, why was the charge for May 2019 ridiculously high at RM2803 (much higher than April 2019), when there's supposed to be OPR reduction.

I called up the customer service and the reason given was that there was 3 times BLR adjustment in May2019, thus the monthly repayment for that month is higher than normal. huh??? Anyone experiencing this?

iPhone lag after sync with iTunes

Hi guys, I just got my phone on the 8th.new to smartphone and this is my first one. Everything was good until I've decided to expOrt my contacts from iTunes last nite. I took some time for the import prolly fifteen minutes and after all the stuff I realize that only one contact was imported out of like 100 plus. Then when I plugged out the cable I noticed my phone got a bit leggy.maybe not some obvious lag but it's comparatively slower than the first day. I wonder if it's just me imagining things. Anyone else experiencing this? And is there any solution for it? I've restarted my phone but it didn't seem to help. Thanks

ATM machine balance enquiry

Streamyx problem in penang?

Hi guys, would like to know anyone staying nearby USM, sungai dua and taman pekaka in penang has any problem with streamyx now? Apparently my house connection couldnt connect to the internet for more than 2 days. The DSL light is stable but the internet light is in red colour.

Called their customer service and they said it's probably due to some cable problem in that area but they are "not sure". WTF! I just wanna know is the problem caused by my modem or is it caused by their side but they are "not sure". Then why the fark we need the customer service for!

Guys, anyone knows any dental clinic in penang island that is open tomorrow 6-2-2011? Have been bearing with the pain for the last 3 days and all the clinic that i know of are closed for CNY holiday. Rear speaker has no sound

Hi all, this is my first time to post in ICE or anything related to car. Before i begin, i have to say im quite a newbie when it comes to car and car parts. Recently I've been given my family's old car which is a Wira Aeroback 1.5l. A rather old car which has been around for almost 10 years (since 2000 until now). The car has a pretty good audio system from as far as i remember with a woofer (or is it a subwoofer, i dont know how to differentiate them) with 2 tiny speakers at the dashboard (but the tiny speakers have been stolen for a good 9 years now and were never replaced), 2 regular speakers at the front doors and another 2 at the back of the car (at the rear board).

Everything was well until in 2006 when the back speakers do not come out any sound. The front speaker( the ones at the side of the door) are still functioning perfectly. After some trial and errors i realised that if i restart the radio (on and off the whole radio) for a few times, the rear speaker may function back. And sometimes, after a while, the rear speaker will go off again. So i had to do the whole routine again.

Then i moved to KL for a few years, and recently was given the car to facilitate my transportation. This time i realised the trick is no longer working. Even if i restarted the radio 20 over times the rear speakers are still not functioning.

I wonder any sifu here knows what's the problem and has any solution for this? I remember my dad sent the car to a workshop before back in 2006, the weird thing is the mechanic didnt know what could be the cause and didnt do anything about it. Im staying in Taman Connaught, Cheras. I would appreciate it if any sifu here has any cheap recommendation to any workshop to solve this problem and give me a head-up on the cost.

Computer lag and 100% usage

Hi, everything started with me noticing my laptop is drastically slowed down. Checked my windows task manager and found out my pc usage is constantly 100%. Restarted my comp for a few times but it's still the same. Usually when i restarted it, it was still alright. Then when i connect to my wireless, the usage will shoot up to 100%. After a fair time of pulling my hair, i decided to just reformat my laptop.

Everything was alright after reformatting on the first night. Then on the 2nd day, the same problem occurs again. I downloaded process explorer. The 3 highest usage is usually avp.exe , proexp.exe, and chrome.exe..Then i disable my kaspersky antivirus. The usage is still 100%, but the 3 processes are, system idle process, proexp.exe and chrome.exe....I thought it's chrome prob, and i closed my chrome to use IE, still the usage is 100% !!!

Help!!! It's driving me nuts!!

Hi guys. I have been playing this game for a while now. Even though one of the greatest features of this game is the ability to play in the multiplayer mode, i am however, most of the time resort to the normal League Play due to the lagginess especially when we meet players from overseas such as brazil,russia and heck even when against singaporean players. I always wanted to play with Malaysian players but somehow it's hard to find such a room. I am sure some of ,FO2 players do experience this problem too. So, i was thinking why dont we gather all the Malaysian players here and form a league of our own. This way we can play with other fellow malaysians without worrying much of the lag . Of course to start all this, we must gather enough players first. So any players here would like to join?

1.Setiap hari Jumaat, pack segala barang anda dan bagitau kat roommate anda nak balik kampung. Selepas sejam, balik ke bilik & terangkan bhw takde org kat rumah. Unpack segala brg anda & pegi tidor.

2.Buat2 terjaga pd tengah malam, jerit kuat2 " Tolong, kat mana aku berada ni?" dan lari keliling bilik tu. Kalau bilik kecil, cukuplah sekadar melompat 2-3 kali. Kemudian, sambung tidor. Esoknya, kalo dia tanya, pura2 tak tahu apa yg dia cakap.

3.Ambil marker, buat bulatan kecil kat lengan anda. Besarkan bulatan tu setiap hari sambil berkata "Dah merebak... dah merebak!"

4. Beli pisau banyak-banyak. Tajamkan setiap malam sambil merenung roommate anda sambil berkata "Tak lama lagi...tak lama lagi..."

5. Pakai topi kertas. Bila dia balik, cakap "Selamat Datang ke McDonald. Boleh saya ambil pesanan anda..." Lepas tu buat muka bodoh, sambil
