Can I skip my diploma to pursue degree?

Hello everyone.

Im one of those who went to get a job after SPM. After years of working in travel industry and freelancing (design/web design), covid came and I lost my job.

Few months ago, I managed to join a uni for a diploma (comp science) and got GPA of 3.95 for my first sem. Unfortunately, I am not able to continue for the 2nd sem as I cannot afford to pay and was in a financial crisis. So I decided to postpone my study (which also require a payment) so I can look for a job. If you guys were wondering, I've applied for a scholarship during my first sem but until today I have not receive any news or update regarding my application.

Right now, it has been a month since i got my new job which I am about to quit soon due to bad work culture and exploitive boss. I tried seeking for a new job based on my likings in linkedin, which involved web design/coding/programming. However most of it put bachelor's degree as a minimum requirement.

Since I am going to be joining a 30s group soon after a couple of years, I do not know if I am going to be any better soon. Is it too late for me to get a job like this? Is it possible to skip my diploma and pursue for degree instead?

I am so lost right now...

As per in the title, please recommend me a good dating spot (like for a walk/taking photos/eating) in KL. I already had a few places in my mind (Saloma Link, KLCC, KL Tower, Padang Merdeka, etc.) but would really like to know more if there are any other great spot in KL that I might not know.

Hi.
As per the above mentioned title, I wish that this kind of feature is available here in the future. Something like a ‘Save’ feature in Facebook and Reddit. Easy for a user like me to navigate back to whatever useful post(probably) in this forum instead of having to use our ‘Bookmark’ feature from our browser.

Felt like this thread are better off in kopitiam but we all know, there’s just too much trolls in there. Gonna post here because I really need the point of view and advise on how I think.

Why are girls so confusing?

The times when I asked whether I should do it or not, and she said to do it but later on asked me in a way she disagree with my action and vice versa.

The times when I asked whether I should leave her alone and she seems okay with it but later on ask me why I left her alone?

Even when asking for direction like left and right, she would say right but her hand was showing the other way.

Wish I knew what they really wanted but sometimes asking them directly only tell otherwise...

P.S mod can remove this if this feel irrelevant.

Hi guys,
So a friend of mine kinda open her heart to someone who she shouldn’t be. This friend is non muslim while the other is a muslim. At first she told him, to just be usual friends first. So she proceed on to exchanging contact number and social media account.

Later on after a few days, the guy confessed that he likes her but she didn’t respond to that to that confession since she still don’t know how to respond to that and because both of them have different religion. Although both of them never met with each other yet, the girl eventually fell in love with that guy. And that was like after almost a month knowing each other. Later on she respond to that guy that she likes that guy too but it seems like it was kinda late because that guy assume she just want to stick to being friend by the way she didn’t respond to his confession earlier and said that if only she said so earlier, he might have thought her more than just friends.

Now she regret that she doesn’t respond to him earlier. Is it really her fault?

Both are young, early 20’s...

Apple blocked Facebook from informing users that Apple would collect 30 percent of in-app purchases made through a planned new feature, Facebook tells Reuters. Apple said the update violated an App Store rule that doesn’t let developers show “irrelevant” information to users.

The feature lets Facebook users buy tickets for online events directly through the app. Apple’s rules say that purchases of digital content have to use the App Store’s payments system, giving Apple 30 percent of the total. Facebook says it asked Apple to waive this fee so that all of the revenue could go to event organizers, but Apple refused. The feature is now available, but without the message about Apple’s 30-percent cut.

Microsoft Corp. is backing Epic Games Inc. in its fight with Apple Inc.

Epic, a game developer, is set to ask a federal court on Monday to force Apple to restore the Fortnite app to the App Store, and block the iPhone maker from cutting off Epic’s developer tools and limiting its ability to provide key graphics technology to other apps.

The graphics technology, known as Unreal Engine, is a suite of software used by millions of developers to build 3-D games and other products. Cutting off Epic from Apple’s iOS and Mac developer tools would mean the gaming company can no longer distribute Unreal Engine to other developers, Epic said in its legal filing. Microsoft, which makes the Xbox, uses the technology for games developed for consoles, PCs and mobile devices.

Apple’s move “will place Unreal Engine and those game creators that have built, are building, and may build games on it at a substantial disadvantage,” Kevin Gammill, general manager of gaming developer experiences at Microsoft, said in a court declaration. “Developing a game using different game engines for different platforms may be prohibitively expensive and difficult.”

Hi everyone!
Have anybody here managed to fly to and return from overseas (other than singapore) during MCO?

Currently planning to go oversea(china & south asia) and wonder if it possible during this harsh time. Saw a few flights still available but worried that the airline that I pick might be like the one happen here (like AirAsia, requesting for refund is super hard)

Do insurance helps in finding new flight if my flights are to be cancel by the airline?
