Today I drove a relative's LMST. Quite a nice car to drive. I put into 2nd gear and vroom it took off like a rocket.

Pros: Good pickup from 0 to 60, clutch feels so nice to press and balance, gear pops into position smoothly, accelerator is so responsive, sit low like sports car.

Cons: Gila babi rattling all over, switches and buttons all hard to press and no travel, too low and difficult to get out

I'm quite tempted to get one, fix up a bit and screw around town in it. Zoom zooming everywhere like a sohai like I did 20 years ago.

I've spent RM11966 from 2007 to 2018, 231 times. Average RM52.

First time I started is 2001. I lost my old data, but estimated around 90 times cos I remember celebrating my 100th one in 2007. So my whole life I've done around 300 different ones, after deducting the few times I used back the same ones.

I've discovered someone who's getting shorter. The person is losing an inch in height every 2 months. At this rate he's gonna be only a foot tall in around 10 years.

Just realised this last supermarket in Taiping has closed down. In the 90s this was the "Midvalley" of Taiping. Go to Taiping, sure must come here.
It opened in 1993 and had the first McDonald's in Taiping. Many old skool places have closed. Meridien hotel, Eden restaurant, siang malam, etc

And the building on the right is still surviving. So many of this kinda places still operating. WTF.

Like 25 years ago, at night, there was a shop/stall selling fried yam puff at the row of shops near bomba.
I remember a relative buying from that area, but can't recall the where exactly.

Anyone knows the shop name or if they're still around?

Come share how old your house is, and how long do you think it can last?

Mine is over 40 years old. What got me thinking about this is after I saw one house in my neighbourhood abandoned. It really brings down the image of the neighbourhood and might affect the value of other houses.

What if slowly, one by one it gets abandoned then the whole neighbourhood goes. Then there goes your investment.

Thinking of jumping ship before it sinks.

Ixora vs Elmina vs Eco Majestic

1. Ixora Bandar Seri Coalfields
2. Elmina Valley 2
3. Cradleton Eco Majestic

Forgetting about distance to KL/PJ or nearby shops, which of these 3 houses are better for own stay, for a couple without kids?
In terms of crime/security, house build quality, management, house location (in a landfill, smelly air, flooding, landslide etc)

From my research, here's what I feel about them.

1. Ixora
Cons: Seems quite deserted with many empty houses. Neighbourhood has a shady vibe.
Pros: House build quality/style appears to be good. Some land at the back. Overall less windows/glass.

2. Elmina Valley 2.
Cons: Residents mentality. Parking outside the house, encroaching into neighbours' entrance. Some corner lots converted to kindergartens.
Pros: No restriction on renovation. I like the units with the flipped layout - hall at the back. Relatively large garden.

3. Cradleton.
Cons: No land at the back. Excessive windows/sliding doors. No renovations allowed. Weird designs - no back door just grille (not allowed to fix grilles/doors?), excessive landscaping raises the question of how long the upkeep will last and maintenance costs.
Pros: Nice looking neighbourhood, no haphazard parking, more civilized residents, some touches of class in the design/build.

Despite the long cons, I still seem to like Cradleton for some reason.

What's your view on these?

Are ladytarot99 stories real?

Has anyone read posts by ladytarot99 and felt like some things just doesn't make any sense?

I'll still refer to this person as "she"/"her" even though it could very possibly be a crazy old uncle behind it. (like Simon)

Over the past months she has made ridiculous claims, boasted about her lifestyle, and she pops up frequently whenever there's an attention seeking thread, and goes in to make more claims to try and impress the TS. She's appears to have an urge to convince forummers that's she's what she says she is.

Some are impressed, but I'm doubtful of her claims. Most of the photos that she posts are oddly cropped and there are many plot-holes in her story-lines.

I'm all in for cool stories, but I dislike stories with goofs and obvious errors. But overall I'll give her a B- for pulling this off for so many months.

Here are some of the oddities that caught my attention. Have a look and share your opinions.

IC number definition

Anyone knows what the last 4 digits in IC represent? Even is female and odds are male but what to the series mean?

Most common is 5 series. Almost everyone is 5xxx. A few is 6xxx but less common.
Anyone who is other series? How are the series defined?
