BREAK | Amazon get investigate over CCP influence

https://seekingalpha.com/news/4617148-amazo...ncerns---report

Amazon (AMZN) is facing a U.S. Senate Small Business Committee investigation over allegations that the company allowed Chinese influence to affect its online marketplace, according to a Bloomberg report, citing people interviewed as part of the probe.

The Republican staff has been probing "Amazon negligence related to Chinese influence and have found compelling evidence," according to an email from a committee researcher.

The investigation adds to Amazon’s (AMZN) regulatory challenges, including antitrust allegations and claims of deceptive business practices, which the company has denied.

The probe follows a previous report on an alleged bribery market involving Amazon (AMZN) employees in China selling favors to merchants seeking advantages on the platform.

Jack Nekhala, a Staten Island inventor, spoke with committee researchers after the report was published. He said he recorded conversations with an intermediary who offered to use Amazon employee connections in China to help him in exchange for payment. Nekhala said investigators were interested in how Amazon employees in China could influence the marketplace, the report said.

Third-party sellers account for about 60% of products sold on Amazon. Some sellers have complained for years about unfair suspensions and difficulties resolving issues, leading some to seek help from company insiders to reverse penalties.

[sos] https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-alle...aud-2026-07-17/

WASHINGTON, July 16 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Thursday that ‌China carried out what is believed to be "the largest compromise of election data in history" by China starting during the 2020 election cycle.
The compromise, the White House said, resulted in China's acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files.

"This data loss presents an unprecedented election security nightmare," Trump said.
A spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington said Beijing "has never and will never interfere in the presidential elections of the U.S."

An unclassified 2021 U.S. intelligence community assessment found no indications that ‌any foreign actor attempted or succeeded in altering "any technical aspect" of the 2020 presidential election vote, including voter registrations, ballots, tabulations or results.
The assessment was conducted under John Ratcliffe, then Trump’s director of national intelligence and now his CIA director.
The cover page said that the classified version was briefed to Trump, senior members of his administration, congressional leaders and intelligence committees on January 7, 2021, days before his first term ended.

BREAK | US CoastGuard in SCS : Ni Hao Ma Mathaland

[sos] https://www.scmp.com/news/china/diplomacy/a...make-difference

US coastguard cutters have a South China Sea mission. Will it make a difference?

A US decision to redeploy half a dozen small coastguard ships from the Middle East to the South China Sea is unlikely to alter the balance of power in the disputed waters, Chinese analysts said.
In a statement on Wednesday, the US Coast Guard said it had moved its Expeditionary Cutter Squadron to the western Pacific to conduct “maritime security operations and cooperative maritime activities with allies and partner nations in the region, in response to national security requirements”.
“Expeditionary Cutter Squadron forces will integrate with US combatant commands to conduct exercises and maritime cooperative activities that enhance interoperability, strengthen strategic partnerships and advance shared security objectives throughout the region,” it said.

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that the six 154-foot fast-response cutters were being sent to operate out of Singapore and the Philippines.

While Washington has previously sent larger coastguard vessels to Subic Bay on the Philippine island of Luzon, this deployment is the first time the cutters had been sent to the former US military base, according to the report.

It said the move would “help challenge China’s assertion of power in the Pacific” and was “the latest step in Washington’s efforts to deter Beijing from moving on … South China Sea features”.

However, Liu Xiaobo, director of the Beijing-based think tank Grandview Institution’s Centre for Marine Studies, said that in regional security terms, the deployment was symbolic.

“China holds an overwhelming advantage in maritime law enforcement in the South China Sea. The US deployment is largely symbolic and cannot change fundamental dynamics,” he said.

Still, Liu cautioned, the American move could, to some extent, bolster the Philippines’ confidence in confronting China, potentially prompting Manila to more actively pursue its hardline policies in the South China Sea.

In a report in March, the Grandview Institution said China’s coastguard was several times bigger than its US counterpart.
It said that by the end of last year, the China Coast Guard (CCG) operated 280 enforcement vessels displacing more than 100 tonnes, with a combined displacement of 392,400 tonnes.

The figures not only dwarfed those of other South China Sea claimants – such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia – but also eclipsed the US Coast Guard’s 114 vessels with a combined displacement of 101,000 tonnes.

Hu Bo, director of the South China Sea Strategic Situation Probing Initiative, another Beijing-based think tank, said the deployment of the six small US Coast Guard cutters to the region should not be “overestimated” in terms of its potential implications.

The move might generate public attention but was unlikely to have any major effect, he said. “Even if all six are deployed, it will not change the regional balance of forces,” he said.

Hu added that the American vessels were unlikely to be used to help the Philippines in maritime operations, because Washington had no interest in doing so. Instead, the deployment could be more of an effort to help make up a shortage of US naval assets in the region.

The US military had very few major warships stationed around the South China Sea, with most having been deployed elsewhere, he said. “There is indeed something of a capability gap.”

He added that the US Coast Guard’s capabilities were also dwindling and the deployment was not sustainable.

Beijing claims sovereignty over almost all the islands and features in the South China Sea and their adjacent waters. Its claims overlap with those of several neighbouring countries, including Brunei, Malaysia and Vietnam, but the Philippines, a treaty ally of the United States, has been the most vocal rival claimant.

The US Coast Guard has stepped up its presence in the South China Sea in the past few months.

In May and June, it took part in three rounds of Maritime Cooperative Activity (MCA) exercises with the Philippine Navy and Coast Guard in the waters to expand the “interoperability” in their respective doctrines, tactics, techniques and procedures.

Although the MCA drills could be read as a sign of strengthening US-Philippine cooperation, they were held far away from sensitive features, Hu said.

“The US military … is still keeping a certain distance from the Philippines in the region, both in terms of policy and operations,” he said.

Liu said the expanding deployment of US Coast Guard cutters showed Washington was continuing its policy of deepening involvement in South China Sea affairs, helping the Philippines counterbalance China’s maritime law enforcement activities in the region.

“The US has consistently carried out maritime security cooperation with the Philippines to strengthen its overall maritime capabilities to counter China’s advantage at sea,” he said.

Still, he noted that compared with military forces, the coastguard was a less confrontational presence.

“The US is also seeking to avoid excessive military involvement that could intensify regional security tensions. Using the coastguard also helps with risk management,” he added.

Sos : https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/afgh...-month-old-lamb

A 19-year-old Afghan man, Massoud S., was tried Monday at the Aix-en-Provence court for sexual assault against six goats, one of which died, and a 6-month-old lamb at an educational farm. He has been convicted and sentenced to 30 months in prison and a ban from French territory.

Afghan migrant Massoud S. was initially charged with “serious abuse or act of cruelty against a domestic, tame, or captive animal.” He continued to deny the rapes in this case despite DNA evidence and being caught redhanded raping a goat. He even told a court psychologist that anyone who did rape the animals only did it to “not rape a woman” since “a goat could not identify him afterward.”

The sexual assaults occurred between February and April and on top of the DNA evidence, his phone location also had him pinged to the crime scene.

“I don’t know how to explain it,” he told the magistrates regarding the ample evidence against him.

Massoud S. reportedly repeatedly raped the animals, which all belonged to an animal shelter and educational farm “Un moment” in Les Pennes-Mirabeau, near Marseille.

Cassandra Sortino, the owner of the establishment, remains deeply traumatized by the mass rape of her animals by the Afghan man.

sos : https://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/119/sres444/text

S.Res. 444: A resolution condemning the dictator of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, for deceit, undermining prospects for peace and security, and orchestrating crimes against humanity.

Condemning the dictator of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, for deceit, undermining prospects for peace and security, and orchestrating crimes against humanity.

Whereas Xi Jinping is the leader of the Chinese Communist Party, a criminal organization posing a grave threat to global stability and peace;

Whereas, under the control of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party has engaged in systemic deception, warmongering, and crimes against humanity, the likes of which have few historical parallels;

Whereas, under the leadership of Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party routinely lied about the origins of the SARs–CoV–2 virus, using international organizations like the World Health Organization to peddle falsehoods regarding the supposed limited transmissibility of the virus;

Whereas the number of individuals from the United States who have died from the coronavirus exceeds 1,000,000, representing the many lives needlessly lost as a result of the lies and deceit of the People's Republic of China;

Whereas General Secretary Xi Jinping pledged to engage more fully in fentanyl cooperation with the United States in 2019 and again in 2023, only to see more than 70,000 individuals from the United States die from fentanyl overdoses in recent years, with the 2025 National Drug Threat Assessment stating that fentanyl and other synthetic drugs … are the primary drivers of fatal drug overdose deaths nationwide;

Whereas, from sewage garlic to broken magnetic chess pieces, the Chinese Communist Party maintains an appalling record on consumer product safety;

Whereas a 2015 study by the National Institutes of Health determined that human waste is used as an agricultural fertilizer in the People's Republic of China;

Whereas Xi Jinping has doubled down on Communist China’s proud tradition of cheating in trade and purposefully ignoring World Trade Organization obligations;

Whereas the People’s Republic of China was granted entry into the World Trade Organization in December 2001, and pledged to transition to a more market-oriented economy by reducing state control over trade and investment, removing price controls, protecting intellectual property, and making numerous other promises;

Whereas, as of the date of the introduction of this resolution, the Chinese Communist Party continues to lie and fails to uphold many of their obligations on which their admission to the World Trade Organization was based;

Whereas, under the rule of Xi Jinping, Communist China has become the largest official debt collector in the world, with 80 percent of the overseas lending portfolio of the People's Republic of China going to countries in financial distress;

Whereas the Belt and Road Initiative, developed by Xi Jinping, promises only the loss of sovereignty and long-term economic and environmental devastation;

Whereas the Sino Metals disaster, a story that the Government of the People's Republic of China has worked to suppress in the international press, is yet another example of predatory lending practices by the People's Republic of China;

Whereas, on February 18, 2025, a tailings dam failure at a major Chinese-owned copper mine in northern Zambia released more than 50,000,000 liters of toxic waste into the Kafue River, Zambia’s lifeline, devastating the ecosystem, destroying crops, and threatening the health and livelihoods of more than 60 percent of the Zambian population living within the river basin, many of whom depend on the river for drinking water, agriculture, and fishing;

Whereas the pH level, a quantitative measure of the acidity or basicity of aqueous or other liquid solutions, of the Kafue River was at least as low as 1.8 following the spill, transforming the substance of the river from water to something closer to stomach acid, which has a pH level of 1;

Whereas, in June 2025, Chinese nationals were charged in a criminal complaint with conspiracy, smuggling a dangerous biological pathogen into the United States, false statements, and visa fraud;

Whereas the Chinese Communist Party, under the rule of Xi Jinping, has accelerated espionage efforts, including through the 2017 cyberattack of the credit reporting agency Equifax, stealing the addresses, birth dates, Social Security numbers, and other data of 145,000,000 individuals from the United States;

Whereas, from February 2021 to December 2024, more than 60 Chinese Communist Party-related espionage cases have been documented across 20 States, including the opening and operations of clandestine police stations on United States soil;

Whereas the Chinese Communist Party, led by Xi Jinping, has increasingly compromised regional and international stability through its commitment to taking Taiwan by force, violating territorial integrity and Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) of Taiwan, supporting state sponsors of terrorism, and aligning itself with the Russian Federation in the unjustified assault by the Russian Federation against Ukraine;

Whereas, according to data from the Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan, aircraft from the People’s Liberation Army conducted more than 3,600 flights into the ADIZ in 2024, setting a new record;

Whereas, in spite of any claim to Taiwan, the Chinese Communist Party, which has not ever ruled Taiwan, continues to cause enormous harm to the well-being of neighboring countries and allies of the United States;

Whereas, under the rule of Xi Jinping, Communist China has engaged in a pattern of harassment and intimidation against Philippine vessels in the West Philippine Sea, endangering Filipino maritime personnel, threatening freedom of navigation, and destabilizing regional peace and stability;

Whereas the People's Republic of China accounts for an estimated 90 percent or more of the total trade of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and purchases up to 90 percent of the oil exports of the Islamic Republic of Iran;

Whereas the Chinese Communist Party, under the rule of Xi Jinping, is pledging the expansion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan;

Whereas, under the rule of Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party is guilty of orchestrating a horrific, modern-day genocide of the Uyghur people and other Muslim populations in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, also known as East Turkistan;

Whereas, under the rule of Xi Jinping, the Chinese Communist Party holds upwards of 1,000,000 Muslim Uyghurs in prison and labor camps, and forces female spouses of Uyghur men in prison camps to share beds with Han Chinese males assigned by the state;

Whereas the designation of genocide against the Uyghur people was made by President Trump in 2021 and confirmed by the Biden Administration;

Whereas, during the tenure of Xi Jinping as General Secretary, Communist China has harvested the organs of political dissidents, most notably Falun Gong practitioners;

Whereas the Tiananmen Square Massacre of June 3 and June 4, 1989, even 36 years later, continues to serve as a stark reminder of the sheer evil and cowardice of the Chinese Communist Party and the inability of the Chinese Communist Party to squash the aspirations of the Chinese people;

Whereas, in 2020, the Chinese Communist Party significantly expanded mass forced labor in Tibet, and continues to engage in enforced disappearance, torture, cruel, inhumane, and degrading treatment of Tibetans, denying them of their unique cultural identity;

Whereas, in 2020, Communist China enacted a national security law, compromising the basic freedoms of Hong Kongers and unjustly imprisoning political prisoners of conscience, including Apple Daily founder Jimmy Lai;

Whereas, under the rule of Xi Jinping, Communist China has continued to send defectors from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea back to that country, despite an elevated risk of execution and torture for defectors; and

Whereas Christians of all backgrounds are persecuted in the People's Republic of China, especially Christians not adhering to the Catholic or Protestant state-sanctioned patriotic religious associations, which serve as propaganda arms for the Chinese Communist Party and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era: Now, therefore, be it

That the Senate—

(1)condemns the dictator of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, for engaging in a pattern of deceit, undermining prospects for peace and security, and orchestrating crimes against humanity;

(2)stands in solidarity with the people of the People’s Republic of China, and all people around the world who have endured the consequences of rule by the Chinese Communist Party; and

(3)encourages the application of all applicable sanctions authorities against officials of the Chinese Communist Party, including sanctions authorized by the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act (22 U.S.C. 10101 et seq.).

Pentagon : BYD BAIDU ALIBABA, aiding CCP MILITARY

slow ?

sos : https://apnews.com/article/china-military-p...1263eafcceddaa5

Pentagon labels tech giant Alibaba and electric car maker BYD as aiding Chinese military

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Pentagon has added several prominent Chinese businesses, including the tech giant Alibaba, electric car maker BYD and search engine Baidu, to its list of Chinese military companies, preventing them from getting U.S. defense contracts.

The list, updated and published Monday by the Pentagon, now sanctions well-known, non-state-owned Chinese companies that are not traditionally considered to be in the defense or security sector. It reflects growing wariness of Beijing’s strategy of tapping the strength of non-state businesses for military purposes.

Created in 2021 by a congressional mandate, the list seeks to identify Chinese companies that the Pentagon considers to have links to the Chinese military — not only those directly controlled by the Chinese military and security forces but also those contributing to the country’s defense industrial base.

When updating the list last year, the Pentagon said the Chinese military sought to acquire advanced technologies and expertise developed by Chinese companies, universities and research programs that “appear to be civilian entities.”

The Chinese Embassy on Monday accused the U.S. of “overstretching the concept of national security and making discriminatory lists to go after Chinese companies.” It said Chinese companies observe the laws and regulations of the countries where they do business. “The U.S. should stop its wrong practice and create a fair, just and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies,” the embassy said in a statement.

Alibaba, BYD and Baidu said there is no basis for including them on the list. “Alibaba is not a Chinese military company nor part of any military-civil fusion strategy,” a statement from the leading e-commerce company said. Baidu, which has expanded into artificial intelligence and self-driving taxis, said the suggestion that it is a military company is “entirely baseless.”

BYD said in a statement it is “not a military enterprise” and that the determination “seriously contradicts the facts.” It also said it “will actively safeguard its legitimate rights and interests through all feasible administrative and legal means.”

This year’s list has grown to 188 Chinese entities, up from last year’s roughly 130 named by the Pentagon. It already had covered companies such as DJI, a major maker of consumer drones. While a company on the list can still do business in the U.S., it faces reputational damage and could be subject to more restrictions.

After the Pentagon released the updated list, the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party called it “a warning to American businesses, all levels of government, and the American people.” It said the companies on the list that are traded publicly on U.S. exchanges should be delisted and no American company should do business with those on the list, “otherwise they are enabling China’s military ascendance.”

In naming Alibaba, the Pentagon said the tech giant helps boost China’s defense industrial base because it is affiliated with the country’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Alibaba is traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Pentagon said BYD and Baidu are affiliated with the same ministry, which oversees China’s technology and industrial policies. BYD is dominant in the global electric vehicle market, and President Donald Trump said in January that he would welcome Chinese carmakers such as BYD if they built plants in the U.S. and hired American workers.

However, a number of U.S. lawmakers have said they will seek a ban on Chinese electric vehicles.

Another addition is the Chinese robotics company Unitree, whose dancing robots impressed Simon Cowell on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” The Pentagon said the company “knowingly received assistance” from the Chinese government through its designation as a small or medium-sized company that is highly innovative, highly competitive globally and critical to the country’s supply chain. Unitree did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Iran is DONE, NEXT IS North Korea ? Hi Mathaland

Feeling POTUS is give you a hint to buy/sell stock when heading to NK.

AND NK is a door to MATHAAAAAALLLAAAAAAANDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

sos : https://www.aol.com/entertainment/trump-pos...-232200392.html

Trump posts himself strolling with Kim Jong Un after making nuclear threat to Iran

President Donald Trump posted a photo of himself walking alongside North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, approximately an hour after he threatened nuclear action against Iran.

The photo posted to his Donald Trump account, right before 2 p.m. ET, shows Trump and Kim walking together after their first summit in 2018.

The image captured the two leaders walking through the garden of the Capella Hotel, the venue of their first summit held in Singapore on June 12, 2018.

The Seoul Economic Daily reports that some interpreted the post as signaling that Trump could be interested in diplomacy with North Korea.

South Korean Prime Minister Kim Min-seok met with Trump at the White House on March 13 and said that Trump showed strong interest in Kim and showcased their relationship, including instructing aides to bring a photo taken with Kim at Panmunjom during the meeting, the outlet reported.

Meanwhile, about an hour before the post, President Trump took to Truth Social to threaten to attack Iran with a nuclear weapon if Tehran does not agree to a deal to end the Iran war soon.

Trump compared nuclear weapons usage to that of an "ultimate alternative" in his post.

"We look forward to working with Iran and the entire Middle East, long into the future. Hopefully, this process will all work out quickly, easily, and smoothly. If it doesn't, we have the ultimate alternative, hopefully never to be used again!" he said towards the end of his post.

Trump expressed his interest in fostering a deal with Iran to end the months-long conflict, while blaming former President Barack Obama for giving Tehran an "easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon."

"Barack Hussein Obama's Deal with Iran, the JCPOA, was an easy, beautiful, smooth road to a Nuclear Weapon, which Iran would have had six years ago, and would have used long before now. My Agreement with Iran is the exact opposite, A WALL TO NO NUCLEAR WEAPON!" the president wrote.

The president claimed a deal is on track to be signed tomorrow, which would open the Strait of Hormuz to all.

"In fact, they no longer want a Nuclear Weapon, nor will they have one, either through purchase, development, or any other form of procurement. The Deal is scheduled to get signed tomorrow, and immediately after it is signed, the Hormuz Strait is OPEN TO ALL," he added.

Trump also continued his statement, claiming that he has created a better relationship with Iran than previous administrations. He also promised to get American troops to Iran to acquire nuclear dust to "downblend and destroy it" once the war is over an "when all is calm."
