USB port can't detect external hardisk

hi sifus..

Here's the problem. My usb port (be it 2.0 or 3.0 port) can detect flash drive but not usb ext HDD..tried few HDD but still failed..but for a ext.HDD with 3.0 usb, it can sometime detect but only for a while, than it may fail to detect whenever it wants..sigh

I've updated to the latest USB driver and had done BIOS upgrade as well

Any idea why this happen? it's difficult when you ca't use your ext.HDD..

My rig:
1. ASUS M4A87TD/USB3
2. AMD Phenom™ II X4 925
3. 1gb x 2, 2gb x 2
4. Win 7 64bit

hello guys..I hope I'm posting on the correct thread..here goes...

I own a Logitech Z506 speaker which I bought about 2 years ago..the problem is that the speaker, i think, had gone kaput..

It happens when I power on the main switch on the wall plug (which connects to my extension wire), and at the same time I heard a 'PLOP' sound from the subwoofer unit..

I've tried opening the subwoofer and unfortunately I think the circuit was burnt (black marks on the circuit)..

My questions:

1. How and why does it happen? is it because I didn't switch off the speaker power before turning on the main power plug? but that never happen with my other previous speaker..or is it the extension wire problem bcoz i've been using it for quite a while now...electrical spike perhaps?

2. Is it repairable? can I just go to normal electrical repair shops (which repair TV and radio) because I think my warranty is over already..

3. How much does it cost to replace the circuit? or just the components e.g capasitors...

i got the loan to buy this car through creditor and not bank, for a period of 3 years..btw, the green card is held by the creditor..

the question is:

1. is it possible for me to sell this car?
2. how's the procedure?

i really do need any available options to sell this car since it is not suitable for me to use at site (yes, i work at site office )

Hi all..i got a question in mind..is it possible to share my Samsung BX2231 currently connected to the desktop with astro beyond decoder..the current setup is just a normal desktop connection plus a 5.1 logitech..

i think i'm stuck on the connection of the speaker system since my LCD does not have built in speaker thus the hdmi cable option is out..i'm hoping to get to switch between astro and PC at ease..thank you

hi guys. i got rm1,700 for my next upgrade and i need your suggestions pls ..

here are the items that i need to buy:

1. Processor
2. Motherboard ( i heard 790fx is good, yet recommend me some intel boards also..)
3. 22" lcd ( i'm thinking of LG in mind, i don't prefer samsung)
4. Graphic card (prefer, nex upgrade if budget constrain) ( built-in gc is acceptable if it's capable of handling HD movies smoothly)

purpose is more towards multitasking, rendering (helping frens ) and watching movies..less gaming for now, the next upgrade will be on GC i hope ..

btw, i really hope that with this budget, quad core can fit in..any comments pls..thx

my comp randomly hangs when i'm trying to install software or doing works..but strangely only the background hangs but not the mouse pointer..it started to happen after i move my hardware stuffs to another casing..luckily i just got some money to upgrade my proc, mobo and rams...however, even after i change those hardware, the same prob still occurs..in the end i'm assuming that the culprit may be because of hardisk, gc or psu..i wont blame on my windows or drivers problems because i've been formating my hardrive several times already and it is the same configuration i've been using for about a year already..so, any idea ...

can someone suggest me antivirus that can remove or heal this infected file..or does it exist in the first place as a windows file that it would be harmful if i manually delete it? currently using AVG with te latest update..

hi..need help here..my fren comp cant boot up n hang at POST message during memory checking..it stops calculating at 1000+..any idea why? sumthing to do with mobo? the prob happens after the process of rendering his architectural projects for 3days..
