New Radio for Axia 2023 AV

Yes, i know "void warranty", lets ignore that.

I need all those who is knowledgeable and experienced in determining the perfect one for me.

I've scoured through Shopee and Lazada and they all seem pretty generic and the sellers are slow in responding.

Car details.

1. Axia 2023, AV
2. Reverse camera originally installed
3. Radio can be controlled by steering wheel.

Radio im looking for.

1. (obviously) fit my car, not bigger
2. can be connected to my existing reverse camera, without rewiring and/or change my reverse camera. literally just plug and play
3. can be controlled by my steering wheel.
4. if possible buttons are available on the radio
5. Android Auto (apple play) is available via bluetooth
6. USB to be connected at the radio itself, not through some back-alley

"Which app is the best all-in-one streaming?"

I'm NOT talking about either Netflix vs Hulu vs Disney+ vs Apple TV vs Prime vs HBO Max..

I'm talking about apps like Loklok that can be used for both phone and tv.

Free is better, but if its a paid service im willing to pay a little bit because the current alternative is to subscribe to all the mentioned streaming services which is about RM100s per month, which is crazzzzyyy.

Comprehensive Car insurance

I tried to comprehensive car insurance and not third-party insurance, but for my 20 year old car (kancil) online doesnt seem to have.

Can you advise where or how can i do it?

Ive tried zurich, etiqa, takaful, bjak, pacific all on their website, all fail.

If anybody know, that would really help.

MAE App Popup

UPDATE : just now, passed RFID, my TNG ewallet reached below RM20, auto topup RM50 (+ RM0.50 charge). Previously i will always receive a popup notification from my MAE app saying RM50.50 was topped up to TNG. NOW, they send me an SMS. Never happened before. So its definitely a Maybank issue.

I have MAE app, and 2 credit cards with Maybank (main + supplemental).

I use credit card for everything including topup ewallet (TNG/Shopee/Boost whatever)

Previously, if i pay for food at (example) Kepci worth RM10 using credit card, i got a popup from my MAE app saying "you've been charged RM10 at KFC [insert location]".

Since i auto topup my TNG eWallet for RFID, everytime my ewallet is lower than RM20, it will topup RM50, and a popup from my MAE app appear, saying "you've been charged RM50.50 topup eWallet TNG", same goes with shopee or any other transaction i had. 99 speedmart ke, Tesco ke, Aeon ke, TGV ke, GSC ke, Karaoke ke, whatever la, always popup showing that my card was used.

But as of last saturday i noticed that there are no popups for any transaction that i actually spent. other than me receiving money and MAE secure2u requests when i need to transfer money or anything.

But when i open up my MAE app, and click the "bell" on the right side, i can see those transactions, meaning it has passed.

I check my phone and the MAE app itself, allowed notification, not sleeping, no restriction on battery and data. Clear cashe and data, Uninstalled and reinstalled. still no popup after transactions.

I contacted maybank, and they advise me to do the same, which i told them i already did, and they claimed that it depends on the seller if they would send notification, i said i've been using the same seller (example) 7-Eleven infront of my house and ALWAYS popup, but since last saturday nothing (but appear on the "bell" in the MAE app).

My question is, do you guys experience the same? if yes, do you know how to revert back?

Please help.

Just want to give some advice, as you know our (beloved/hated) PMX announced the subsidy lift, so now there is a new group of scammers out there calling people asking about "update your PADU" etc. Be aware of their tactics.

Clues it's a scam.

1) The number calling looks like a handphone number instead of the regular 1300/1800 or even landline
2) They asked "why did you call this number" instead of telling you why THEY are calling you
3) They asked about your details instead of them telling you "hi, is this Mr. Abu bin Ali or Ms Siti binti Ali?"
4) They said their name is Malay but have a very thick non-malay accent, not only that horrible malay-grammar-structure
5) They said "its ok if you dont want to share, you can hang up"
6) The automated voice is somehow fuzzy and not clear, i swear i can hear the automated voice was recorded while IN THE CAR ENGINE. lol, very noisy

Things TO DO or NOT TO DO when you encounter this scam.

1) Never ever tell your name, your phone number, your IC or anything. Since they call you, and if they are the official PADU or [insert any governing body], they should know
2) Do install apps like truecaller, they do tell you if the number calling is a scam. the number appeared as "Fitri Po Agihan Paip" but claiming to be from PADU
3) Hang up if you even suspect it's a scam call. if its REALLLLLYYYY important they will call you back.

Keep being safe you guys. Dont get scammed!

Nak tanya sifu, other than splurge a few hundreds for a new radio unit with touch screens blah blah blah. Is there a way to connect the radio to my phone via Bluetooth?

1) the radio doesnt have bluetooth features, but has a USB port that i usually use by downloading music and play on repeat.
2) no AUX as well.
3) i tried the bluetooth-cigarette lighter thingy, the sound is not as crisp as direct USB port (but again on repeat)

Is there a device that i can somehow connect my phone to the USB port? I tried using cable, but it only charges, doesnt play anything.

A Bluetooth donggle maybe? Budget less than rm50.

Cuckoo King Top

My mom is not using her cuckoo king top anymore, so want to "throw it away". I took it, changed the filter myself, simple plug and play.

Question i have for installation.

1) blue hose is for the main water source into the cuckoo.
2) the orange hose is from cuckoo to sink. Why is it running continuously? Is it for washing the filter?

If yes, how often to i have to wash the filter?

Any Better eWallet than TNG?

I just (stupidly) noticed that TNG eWallet have been charging 1% for every credit card topup (recently).

I have been using TNG all this while for toll, RFID, direct card-to-eWallet, paying bills, paying for other apps like ZUS/KFC etc. all used Credit Card to topup TNG eWallet to pay for things.

Now knowing this (1% for every CREDIT CARD TOPUP), is there any app that is similar like TNG eWallet that does the rest (except for toll, RFID and direct card-to-eWallet), but without the 1% charge on top of the topup?

I heard/read Boost has similar feature, how's their market share? as in, any app that can be paid via eWallet, can be paid via Boost? Or they are not that well covered?

I sometime see "Razer" too, so not sure if anybody can help out answer this question. Thank you.

Ps: I know i can topup using debit card, but no. i dont want to use cash for that.

Need help from sifus.

Looking for a 2nd hand car, that i can use as a daily driver.

I have a budget of ~20k (loan amount i'm willing to take).

Options i found are.....

1) 2017 Haval H1 (GWM M4), mileage is 80k, price is RM18k
2) 2015 Ford Fiesta, mileage is 60k, price is RM20k
3) 2018 Renault Captur, mileage is 100k, price is RM25k

Out of these options, what are the drawbacks of owning the car?

i.e even in perfect condition, the car sucks to drive, not comfortable. or now spare parts are hard/expensive?

Why not look for Perodua or Proton 2nd hand? With the price that they have on 2nd hand, might as well i get brand new Saga or Axia.

I plan to hire a maid, anybody know a trusted website/agent that i can go to?

I have ZERO experience in getting one, and need a complete rundown on what to ask/expect. i honestly dont know what i dont know. What do i need to do? What do i need to prepare? How much is the whole process cost?

Purpose : Me and the wife work, malas nak hantar kids to nursery, and plan to have maid to take care of the kids, and clean the house.

Alza 2023 Android Auto not working

inb4 : go to service center la, claim warranty.
response : its not the console's fault its not my phone cable's fault, connected to my Xiaomi cannot, connect to my wife's Xiaomi cannot, connect to my brother's Samsung can, connect to my sister iphone can.

inb4 : this issue, google je la
response : i did, i found out that Xiaomi is the problem and not the car, but the "steps" that they mentioned ive tried and still fail.

inb4 : then why you here la?
response : if any sifu out there that have the same problem as me, and managed to fix it (without buying a new non-Xiaomi phone), do let me know.

Ps : connected to bluetooth ok, connect through USB boleh charging, but cant "transfer data", hence Android Auto not connected/working.

I just bought an Alza 2023, the car dealer said to me specifically "dont install the engine under cover"
