If PN falls, ‘kleptocrats’ will return, DAP MP tells of dilemma

An opposition MP has warned that any power vacuum created by the downfall of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government could be filled by Umno, with the prospect of the former ruling party coming back stronger at the next polls.

Tony Pua, DAP’s Damansara MP, said while the opposition may have its best chance to get back at Muhyiddin Yassin, who was among the key leaders who engineered the downfall of the Pakatan Harapan government, his replacement could be from Umno.

“And when any Umno leader becomes PM, wouldn’t all the kleptocrats be set free (or possibly even regain power)?” Pua asked, in an apparent reference to Umno leaders from the so-called “court cluster” who are facing multiple corruption charges.

He said any return of Umno to the top government post would see the party consolidating its political power “to emerge even stronger” after the next general election.

He said any such move could mean Umno leaders “getting away scot-free”, adding that the opposition could alternatively tolerate the PN government “just a little while longer”.

“This checks Umno, while PH and the rakyat can get rid of Muhyiddin and Azmin in the next GE,” he added, referring to former PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali who led MPs out of the party during the so-called Sheraton Move last year.

Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, his predecessor Najib Razak and several former leaders of the previous Barisan Nasional government are facing multiple corruption charges involving hundreds of millions of ringgit.

Zahid and Najib have been leading a campaign to get Umno MPs to revoke their support for Muhyiddin. Last year, the duo backed Anwar Ibrahim in the PH chairman’s efforts to topple Muhyiddin.

Yesterday, Zahid announced that he and several Umno MPs had lost confidence in Muhyiddin, triggering talk of an imminent collapse of the government.

Following an audience with the Agong today, Muhyiddin said he still commands the majority support from MPs, adding that he will allow a confidence vote against him to take place when the Dewan Rakyat convenes in September.

Anyone can recommend a laptop with 17 inch monitor. Budget below RM2000? I see most of the 17 inch offerings are mostly gaming laptops that cost RM4000 and above. I am just looking for something with a big screen, portable and below RM2000 (preferably below RM1500 even better).

I know can get 15 inch easily, but just looking to see if anyone knows of any good 17 inch laptops out there.

Specs not too picky as long as can use for surfing the internet, should at least be:

1080p screen and above
Celeron or Athlon processor and above

Currently using Ugreen RM10 dongle ( https://s.lazada.com.my/s.1731M ) but the sound seems very low. I hope to boost the sound a bit, so looking for dongle with built in amplifier too.

Hi guys, just want to ask what you all do when your unifi down.

Normally I use mobile data but I find it lacking, just one day use and it can finish 6gb data in few hours. And to get more data just cause so much money.

Are there better options out there, one that allows multi device to connect to it at the same time.

Or what is the best/cheapest mobile data solution?

I just need it as backup.

Edit: preferably would also like to be able to torrent.

Edit2: I'm just looking for one day temporary solution while TM fixes the issue whenever unifi is down. Which is not all the time, just like one year maybe twice it happens.

Do you guys ever have it worse but try to look on the bright side? For me I'm just grateful that I don't have a house loan cause I was very close to signing it. And if I did, it would not allow me some mobility and freedom I have now cause "die die" I would have to find a way to pay that loan (of course this can be seen as good and bad cause one side will argue that you are motivated to work harder).

And this is where i keep catching myself saying stuff like "At least I don't have a house loan", "it could be worse".

Do you have similar example that you do? if not house, what do you tell yourself?

Edit: A lot misunderstanding my post, don't get me wrong, i wish i can buy, but its the you know "ukur baju di badan sendiri".
Anyways the point is not the house, its what you tell yourself like you're in bad situation, so what you tell yourself to feel better?
