What's your Panel Refresh Rate?
I grew up with 60 hz, then gradually seen the increase in refresh rates on laptop panels.

Now every brand like AORUS, Asus, MSI, Dell, etc

Have lappies up to 300Hz

It's a fact that higher refresh rates are better for gaming and navigating to things faster on windows.

So now what refresh rate does you laptop have now?

My AORUS 5 9th Gen has 144hz, I don't know if I should upgrade to the 2020 version 15G for 240Hz straight or stick with 2020's 144hz same model laptop as my own.

How do you pick a gaming laptop?

How do you pick a gaming laptop?

Do you follow based on brand? CPU? GPU? Design?

or are you the more conservative types and don't feel like it's not wise to spend more on a gaming laptop?

Like the real question is, what's the better deal between two laptops that cost different but essentially same core specs like processor, ram and gpu?

Are there actual differences to the processor and gpu quality even though they are the same model ?

Im stuck in between Asus Tuf and Aorus 5 and their prices are different. From my personal experience, lower price = higher chance of bad experience. Is it true in this case?
Hi LYN,

I want to compare these laptops, strictly for gaming and design work, which would u pick considering work and play?

Games I play:
- Modern Warfare
-The Cycle
- Honkai 3rd
- Dark Souls 3

Work stuff :
- Office
-Photoshop, Lightroom, premiere
- Filmora 9

Laptop Comparison

Aorus 5
- 10750H Core i7 10 gen
-16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe
- RTX 2060
- 144hz LG IPS panel full hd NTSC 72% SRGB 100+%
- RM 5799

Asus TUF A15
- AMD R9-4900
-16GB RAM and 512GB PCIe
-GTX 1660ti
- 144hz IPS panel full HD 67%SRGB NTSC 45%
- RM 4999

Asus G14
- AMD R5 4600H
- 8GB RAM (soldered) and 512 PCIE
- GTX 1650
- 120hz 14" IPS full hd 100%SRGB NTSC 72%
- RM 5299

Huawei Matebook X Pro
- 10510U Core i5 10 gen
-16GB DDR3
- MX250 Nvidia graphics
- 1TB PCIe SSD
- 13.9" 60Hz 3000x2000 LTPS
-RM7999

Recently heard from Msian reviewer AMD too panas on laptops in mesia, so kind of leaning to Intel 10th Gen here. Color Accuracy is a must (that's why I mentioned NTSC).

Which would you pick gassss?

"The all-new AORUS 15G not only comes with the world’s thinnest 3mm display bezel, it also comes with industry leading, ultra-high 240Hz refresh rate gaming display and 72%NTSC color gamut. All this means that gamers are now ready to enjoy every victory and with X-Rite Pantone Calibration each display is also custom tuned before it leaves the factory giving you unparalleled colour reproduction and accuracy this is gaming as the developer intended."

What is X-rite Pantone calibrated display?

I saw it on the AORUS 15G, a laptop that i've been looking to get for awhile now, and after some searching, I realize ALL laptops from gigabyte have them. Is it better quality screen or what? I thought I should just care about refresh rate and panel type like IPS?

Specs
i7-10875H
Intel Processor

16GB
DDR4 Memory

RTX 2080 SUPER MAX-Q
Nvidia Graphics

512GB
NVMe SSD
